"Attended a graduation ceremony, and this hotel was super convenient, right next to the train station – literally stepped out and there it was. Perfect since we were constantly going back and forth. There's also a commercial street nearby, so shopping and food were easily accessible. The facilities were good too, standard Hampton by Hilton setup, and the hygiene was decent. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was okay. The only downside was having to pay a £25 deposit upon check-in, which hardly any other hotels require."

"Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for 3 days. When I booked it, I never realised it had one part at one side and the other part across the street. If you book your standard rooms your hotel is across the road. The standard double room was 'cosy'. There wasnt a great deal of space but we were out the majority of the time so it was fine just for a place to sleep. The location is good, definitely a student area and the hotel offer earbuds for the noise. We stayed through the week and being honest we didnt find it that loud and most places were closed and quiet for no later than midnight. I do imagine it would be very different staying at the weekend. We used west Jesmond metro to get to and from the city centre, the hotel is about a 8 minute walk from the metro, the are very frequent also, so all in I think it took no more than 15 mins to get right into the city centre. So the room in general was ok, our room had a bit of a smell coming from the drains, which wasnt very nice so we had to buy a spray for the room. The main issue with the room and the hotel is the heat!! It has just been 28 degrees in newcastle and outside was cooler than the room. We bought chocolate and it melted in a cupboard. They do give you a fan but being honest, it did nothing. The window was also small so no air really got in from that either. It made for a few uncomfortable nights sleep! Overall the cleanliness was ok but just far to warm."

Staff excellent good greeting and farewell asking had everything been good and up to standard. The room was a good size with a shower room which had probably been modernised and renovated recently. Everything in good order and correct temperature. A very good Travelodge."

It is easily accessible to every area of the town and also walkable to the city centre and the train station. "Hotel is fabulous we managed to get parked £18 for 24hours which wasn’t bad ,was greeted by freindly staff,the guy that checked us in was called Daniel he was so accommodating a-great guy asset to the hotel.The room was fabulous looked out onto the river had a super king size bed nice and roomy coffee tea making large tv lovely walk in shower with products ,couldn’t fault the room at all and right next door is a weatherspoons which looks out to the river aswell would defiantly recommend staying there great location"

"Went to a tribute night 80s v 90s on 9th May ,and stayed over what a fantastic night ! All the staff from the reception and the restaurant plus the bar staff were fantastic . The food on the night and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The tribute band were fantastic . The room was spacious and comfy , Great value definitely be coming back."
