"Short stay in Newcastle but very pleasant. We had got a chance to be upgraded to a junior suite. We booked bed, breakfast and dinner package. There is a Gin Bar in the hotel so you can watch football in a relaxed environment. There is a pool and gym, free of charge for guests."

"The hotel is undergoing renovation. When we got into the room (suit with river view) we discovered that the toilet bowl was dirty! It got cleaned. We asked to extend the check out time which according to email communication would cost £10 p/h, but staff said it was £20. We paid £10. The literature in the room also showed £10p/h. The shower temperature was difficult to control. No a/c in room. Very dark decor. All snacks on display on the desk were chargeable. Why are they not in a drawer?? Chargeable mini bar in the room. No free bottled water in the room. Bed mattress was firm. Great location."

"I understand that the hotel has been renovated. I just cannot understand why there were so many bad reviews. I found it perfectly nice for an airport hotel especially. The price fluctuated wildly but on the day when I was arriving, the price reached its lowest since I have been monitoring it. By foot it's opposite the terminal and slightly to the right. It only takes 7 minutes and a small sign will appear. It is harder to find than you think, best to ask advice or use an online map. It had everything you expect, courteous staff, kettles and coffee, even a bath! The only think I found slightly sub par was the bed, the mattress seemed to be cheap, slightly uncomfortable it was just what I needed. There was nothing wrong with it whatsoever. 10am checkout is a bit stingy though."

Staff friendly. 10 minutes walk to the metro station to get into Newcastle or to the airport. Toby carvery next door for a nice meal. Shops and supermarkets as well as the usual fast foods a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommended."

I replied, "Our room had such a high and big window, it probably couldn't hold inmates..." But perhaps because it was a fire station and police station, the yang energy was so strong that I woke up sweating profusely three nights even with the air conditioning off; the local nighttime temperature was close to zero degrees Celsius..."
