"We had a wonderful time at Wildwood Farm B&B! When we first arrived in the evening, we were a little puzzled, the paddocks were empty and there wasn't a horse in sight. We wondered if we'd gotten the wrong idea about the place. Then morning came, and everything changed. The horses were brought out from the stalls into the paddocks, and suddenly the whole property came alive. Sitting in the dining room with horses grazing all around you is honestly priceless, such a peaceful way to start the day. The rooms are on the older side, but don't let that put you off, everything was spotless and comfortable. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and the mattress and bedding were genuinely better than what you'd find at most hotels. We were pleasantly surprised. Breakfast deserves its own paragraph. Our first morning we had to leave early to catch the ferry to the San Juans, and Gregg kindly put together a lovely breakfast to go for us. The next day we ate in, and both breakfasts were absolutely delicious, miles ahead of your typical hotel spread. The highlight of the stay, though, was the trail ride on our last day. The horses are super chill but still responsive, you get an actual bit and reins, not just a lead rope, so you can genuinely ride and guide the horse yourself if you want to. It made the experience feel real, not like a pony walk. Overall, a fantastic experience and great value!"
