It was quite an experience staying in a century-old historic building. You can still see the original rooftops, and it maintains a distinct international atmosphere.
⭐ **Amenities:** I booked the attic twin room, which was the most budget-friendly option, for two consecutive nights. (Even piecing together various offers, it ended up costing nearly 400 per night, but that's just how it is during peak tourist season.)
* The spring mattress was quite creaky when sat upon.
* The pillows are quite thick, which might be uncomfortable for those accustomed to flatter ones.
* The wooden floors are quite noisy; even light steps cause significant vibration, and you can definitely feel it when kids run riot in the hallway.
* The room lighting is quite dim, with incandescent bulbs, so don't plan on reading in the room at night. However, there's a meditation room and a lounge area between the stairs that are perfect for reading or getting some work done.
* There's a laundry room available: washing costs 3 RMB for 25 minutes, and drying is 15 RMB for 1 hour. However, 1 hour isn't quite enough to fully dry the waistbands of summer pants.

It's also within easy walking distance of bustling streets like Zhongshan Road, Jiangsu Road, and Anhui Road. Public transport, including buses and the subway, is readily accessible, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The surrounding area also boasts plenty of great food options.

This is a really charming hostel, converted from a century-old building, with lovely common areas. The location is superb, right near Zhongshan Road Metro Station (Line 1) and close to the Dabao Island Historic and Cultural Block, making many old town attractions easily reachable on foot. Getting to the beach or seaside is also a breeze, with a very convenient bus stop for route 228 just around the corner. Given that traffic can be an issue in the old town, the metro and bus options near the hostel absolutely covered all my transportation needs during my 3-day stay in Qingdao. Dining is also very convenient; the hostel's own restaurant serves delicious meals, and it's easy to grab a coffee. Plus, there's a variety of dining establishments nearby, and food delivery can be brought to the front desk for pick-up. While the nearby Dabao Island themed post office offers souvenir stamps (requires a purchase and doesn't have postmarks), I'd highly recommend walking a bit further to the Guangxi Road Post Office Branch instead, where you can get stamps for free and they even have three different postmarks available!

Our entire stay was very enjoyable. The hotel's location, close to Qingdao's Old Town, made getting around and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Housed in a renovated old building, the hotel itself exudes a rich historical charm, making our first stay a truly unique and special experience. While the room wasn't huge, it was fully equipped, clean, and well-maintained. I particularly loved the wooden floors in the room. Unlike the carpets often found in hotels, they felt more comfortable underfoot and gave a much cleaner, more hygienic, and reassuring impression.
The hotel's brunch truly deserves special praise 👍. The flexible timing meant that weary travelers could comfortably sleep in without having to rush out of bed for breakfast.
