"This was our first trip to San Miguel. We were welcomed by the owner and Daniella with moist towels, water and a taste of Mezcal. We loved the quaint quiet environment during our stay. The staff trested us well and when we requested ice it was brought to our room. The food for breakfast was overall good. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and learning about Deborah Tuberville. We will recommend this hotel in the future. One note: San Miguel does have a 16% IVA along with a 4% Lodging tax which does add to the cost."

"Room had no bedroom slippers, coffee tea making services - none of the usual or basic amenities provided by hotels. The worst was the shower area. Water leaks out to outside area till the carpeted floor. The bathroom area was run down. No hot water at the water basin. No stopper found for Water basin/sink . The bathroom had a window pane opening out and not supported by a ventilator . Cold at night ."

"Hotel staff are incredibly helpful and very accommodating. Parking is available and a must have when staying in San Miguel Allende. Breakfast from 9-11 included eggs cooked for you, not the usual you would have expected like cereal etc. The area is relatively quiet, we slept like babies. The location is an an easy and inexpensive cab ride from the hotel and the best way to travel back and forth from the city. Beautiful environment that lives up to its name, MANSION SAN MIGUEL ALLENDE!!!!"

"The design of the hotel lobby is particularly beautiful! The public area in the lobby is also very cozy. The room was quite big, very beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep. The bathroom was a bit slow, but there was no problem overall. No breakfast, but I came to the hotel restaurant to order food directly. french bread and hot cake are really beautiful and delicious. 😋 scrambled eggs are also very fragrant. It is very convenient to take a taxi from the station for 10 minutes."

"The main hotel is charming and beautiful touches. We were in the other building 10 minutes walk and not as charming but clean with the wonderful housekeeping lady. What was not appreciated was how stingy they were. Even the plastic water bottle next to the bed had a price tag and if you use more than one pod pe person you are charges. They charges us extra $100 a night for the 3 rd person and didn't give us an extra coffee pod!! Make sure you don't open the wrapping of the room freshener because you might get charged $38 since the price tag is inside the wrapper."

"I'm a frequent guest at this hotel, and it's a very pleasant place with spacious, clean, and comfortable facilities. The staff is very kind and helpful, always respectful, friendly, and smiling. The restaurant is excellent. Overall, it's one of my favorite hotels in San Miguel. My only suggestion is that they might consider investing a little more in soundproof windows for the rooms facing the street, as the constant traffic sometimes makes it a bit difficult to sleep."

"Terrible experience. The older woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. She would not refund me the difference for a downgraded suite. The upgraded suite they gave me had a balcony door that would not lock. As a solo female traveler, I told them I didn't feel safe. They offered me a downgraded suite which I was fine with, but would not refund me the difference. I took it of course because the town was sold out. They charge you the full amount when you check in so I had no recourse. Later, they said they fixed the door and I could move back in, but by then I was so angry I didn't want to deal with them. Incredibly rude. The hotel says they are 4 stars, 3 at best. For the money it was not worth it. Also, it's connected to a night club so every night there's loud music until 4 am."

"We just returned from a one night stay in the Chana room. We had great excitement for staying at Meson Hidalgo. I had read numerous reviews singing its praises. I can tell you that I was very disappointed at this property. Pros: Location Staff- especially Dulce went out of her way to make us feel at home. Cons: The room is starting to show age. It was very poorly lit. Bathtub painted black and impossible to see ( with sides of tub high) No TV Breakfast: delivered in a basket was day old pastry and yogurt and juice Coffee: you made in the barely functioning nespresso.(we walked down the street to Starbucks after 2 failed attempts.) Needless to say we paid a high nightly fee( at a total cost of almost $400 usd) and were very disappointed in what I would call a guest house."
