Songtsam Shangri-La Lvgu Lodge

Ganden Sumtseling Monastery Shangri-La|0.7km from Pilgrimage Songzanlin Temple Panorama
The first Songtsam trip was dedicated to the first Songtsam hotel: Green Valley Mountain Residence. Start with this Tibetan cultural hotel that grew out of a dirt road. It feels like home, very comfortable, warm and relaxing, like going home. In addition to Songtsam's unique hotel hardware, the service is as warm and borderline as returning home. The most impressive experience for us, which can be said to be engraved in our memory and can be treasured for a lifetime, was when a Songzan butler named Lu took my best friend and me to Songzanlin Temple to explain it. This was my second time visiting Songzanlin Temple. , the first time I was attracted by the majestic appearance of the temple, I took pictures on the opposite side of the lake, climbed the temple steps without entering the temple. This time I kept my glasses on Master Lu the whole time, for fear of hearing something. Master Lu is no longer a commentator in the traditional sense. His naive expression is very similar to that of Maitreya Buddha. His small stature can contain infinite wisdom. The sound is rich and carries the sound of heaven and earth. You can feel how thoroughly he understands the essence of Tibetan Buddhism and how much he loves and identifies with Songtsan. He will also add his own understanding as a human being to make obscure Buddhist knowledge or stories so easy to understand and come to life, so that we, travelers immersed in the world, can aspire to ”practice in the world of mortals”. Not simple!

When you come to Shangri-La, you must stay at Songtsan. This is the conclusion. It was my first time to stay in Songtsan, and since then I have made a small goal of staying in Songtsan all over Tibetan areas. Songtsan's location, room layout, culture, etc. are almost all the best. Although the price is also very good, it is really worth staying. A few shortcomings: I personally feel that the breakfast variety is not enough. Of course, relative to this price, there will naturally be higher requirements. Second, I asked in advance if I wanted to make a reservation for dinner. I said no, but I was not informed that reservations were not accepted. There was a risk of waiting for a table. We needed to arrive as early as possible. As a result, we did not eat the yak hot pot in the end, so we had to order and then order. A little bit, the price/performance ratio is not very good, although the taste is very good, not too bad, the dishes are small and expensive. Third, there is no ticket check when entering the scenic spot with the Songzanlin Temple ticket. There is a tour guide to lead the way, but it is not recommended for people with small children because it is a walk there and there are so many people. There is only one tour guide and there is no amplification. device, then this one is a bit confusing and you can't hear what is being said at all. Everything else is very nice. There are really many guests in the hotel. Their service is actually very orderly, which shows that they are well-trained, which I did not expect.

Just inside Songzanlin Temple, walk for ten minutes, the environment is really good, the proprietress is also very good, no photos, everyone forgive me, believe me, go to Shangri-La, don’t live in the ancient city, there is nothing to visit there, live in Songzanlin Temple slowly strolling, Then take a taxi to the ancient city for a few hours to eat a meal. It is OK. The only drawback is that there is nothing to eat nearby.

The price is very high and the service is very attentive. I stayed at Shangri-La Hotel on the first night. The next day we switched to Tang Xiang Jia Xiu, and the result was unexpected. The room was spacious, clean and hygienic, and the restaurant was very rich. The hotel is located at the entrance of Songzanlin Temple Scenic Area, and it is very convenient to visit Songzanlin Temple Scenic Area. The location is great.

The boss family is super enthusiastic. When we first came over, the driver couldn't understand the positioning and put us on the side of the road. After calling the boss to explain the situation, the boss said: wait for me on the side of the road, I will pick you up! Hearing that we didn't eat, the boss not only enthusiastically introduced us to a special restaurant that locals often go to, but also drove us to the restaurant! The facilities in the hotel are very good, and I have an authentic Tibetan breakfast in the morning! Super recommended!

The boss family is very good, the house is very special, the strong Tibetan style, I really like the big yard, you can sit on the balcony, or drink tea in the yard. I took my children to go, grandpa and grandma will enthusiastically call my child ”Xiao Zhuoma” in the morning, and will say hello as soon as I go out, and ask us to go downstairs for breakfast. I feel that I live not in a homestay, but in a friend's house. If I have the opportunity to go to Shangri-La again, I will definitely go live again.

The hotel I chose from Yubeng was based on the idea that even if my legs were disabled, I could see Songzanlin Temple from the room, and I was not disappointed. The Songzanlin Temple in the inn is less than three minutes away. The room has large floor-to-ceiling windows to clearly see the temple. Whether eating or sleeping, you can clearly see the temple. The room facilities are also very complete, no different from star hotels. The bathroom has a heater and plenty of hot water. The Tibetan couple who run the inn are very patient and responsive. Especially the Tibetan proprietress, who is very good at Tibetan and Chinese food. The inn includes breakfast. We were not used to the Tibetan breakfast on the first day, and changed to a Chinese breakfast on the second day. Although it is simple, it tastes good. There is also their yak hot pot, which is so delicious that 5 people can't finish it in one pot. Before leaving, I also bought their homemade yogurt crisps. I am not used to eating them, but they are made naturally as souvenirs.
