I drove to the hotel and had contacted the owner in advance via WeChat, who confirmed that the parking was conveniently located very close by. I was highly satisfied with the hotel's service, location, and cleanliness. The owner also provided excellent tips for local sightseeing and dining. However, I definitely don't recommend driving in the city center. The roads are very narrow, electric scooters are everywhere, darting around and completely disregarding traffic rules, and finding a parking spot is almost impossible.

The location is also a major highlight – conveniently situated near key attractions located in shantou old city , dining options, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. It made exploring the area effortless, and I could easily return to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again. The amenities exceeded my expectations. The facilities were modern, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed to cater to both leisure and big group of families. From the helpful lounge areas to the private VIP big room facilities, and in-room conveniences, everything was in place to make my stay both enjoyable and productive. The hotel is conveniently located right behind the Post Office, and it's just a ten-minute walk to a small park. The front desk kindly upgraded me for free to a room with an openable window. As soon as I opened the door and saw a ray of sunshine in the room, I instantly fell in love with it. The room was spotlessly clean and quiet, and I had a peaceful night's sleep with no disturbances at all. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This hidden gem of a coffee shop and guesthouse is tucked away in a small park—the location is absolutely perfect! Despite being in the scenic area, the rooms are very quiet and equipped with a projector. The manager thoughtfully provided a detailed city walk guide beforehand. The rooms were impeccably clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. They sent a check-in guide in advance, responded to any questions instantly, and even recommended restaurants frequented by locals. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the experience far exceeded my expectations—five stars! The coffee was a bonus!

The hotel is newly opened and boasts a fantastic location – central yet surprisingly quiet. **Facilities:** Everything is new, and there are no strange odors. The rooms are spacious, just ignore the view outside the window. **Cleanliness:** Spotless. **Ambiance:** The decor is luxurious and elegant; I personally really liked it. **Service:** The staff are all young and energetic. It feels like a fresh, new approach to hospitality.

My main complaint is the squatting toilet and that the toilet/shower area and the wash stand area are of different levels and there is no demarcation strip to show the difference. I almost tripped several times and luckily my foot did not go into the toilet hole. I had to put a pair of bathroom slippers at the edge of the toilet/shower area to alert myself about it. I have to praise the room cleaner who came to clean while I was in the room. I complained about how dangerous it was and that I had to put bathroom slippers to remind me of the difference in floor heights. The next day, when I came back to the room, there was a warning sticker on the floor. There was no chair in the room which was quite inconvenient, especially when I bought dinner to eat in the room. Other than those two issues, the location is good if you like to visit public parks. There is one really near the hotel.

Location: On a quieter side of Xiaogongyuan Room: Excellent design, high quality finishings and I love the balcony Breakfast: Simple, satisfying and perfect home-cooked Teochew noodles, Orr Luak and fried eggs. Service: This is the winning factor and you see this in all the reviews. Everyone’s friendly and goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable. We ended spending more time at the hotel chatting with them rather than out. Jay’s restaurant recommendations was always on-point. He gave us interactive map of Shantou, helped us with transportation etc. Staying here is like staying at your friend’s home. Will definitely recommend this homestay. 10 out of 10 ❤️💯
