Solihull Town Centre ★★★
"Hotel bedroom had a nasty stain on the floor just before the bathroom which on first inspection looked old and we didnt have time to complain as we were in a rush to get to our appointment. We were out all day and night and when we returned to hotel I complained. 2 staff members came and looked and agreed the carpet was vile (we had now established the 'stain' was fresh. They put a towel over it which in the morning the stain had leaked through. They said they couldn't move us as fully booked but offered a free breakfast. We had no choice but to sleep and then in morning I felt that sick due to looking at the stain there was no way I could have faced breakfast just wanted to leave. I have since complained to guest services and await a reply. A shame because we have stayed in this hotel before and have always had a good stay. I cannot believe housekeeping did not close the room off until carpet tiles replaced or cleaned proprly."

"We had a fantastic weekend at the Balsall common hotel! Firstly we must mention Debbie who was amazing and so helpful. Then we had Craig and bekky in the restaurant who could not have been more accomadationg but there are far too many other staff who we did not get the names of but went over and above to make our stay a very special occasion and we thank them all from the bottom of our hearts 💕"

The Regency Hotel
"The room was freshly renovated with a good mattress and bedding. Toiletries are supplied hand/face/shower wash/ gel. Nice size TV in the room. The Bar/Restaurant and breakfast were all great. Nice menu option on the meals and well cooked. The service was up to par and did what they should be doing without been too imposing. Yes a good hotel with nice staff and environment. "
Forest Hotel
"Attended a a post funeral wake for a family member at this hotel . I parked my van in the car park . There were no clearly marked parking requirements or restrictions displayed anywhere . I went to the function room for the wake . There were no signs in the entrance stating that the registration mark of van had to be logged in the hotel .Today I received a parking fine of £100 within 28 days . Beware ."

"Couple issues: We could hear a lot of noise in the middle of the night when people were walking in the corridor.Rooms are not sound proof, this disturbs the sleep. Water leaking from the bathroom to the ground floor. It's a house-modified hotel. Not a pleasant stay., 😏"

"Dog-friendly place which was a bonus for us as we were having lunch at Hampton Manor and staying in the pub for the night. Fantastic local atmosphere in a proper English pub. Quirky old room and incredible value for money."
