"Great stay for a colonial experience. The cottages were comfortable with large common areas. One must do both the tea garden and botanical garden walks. (30-45 mis each) Staff is courteous and well mannered. The resort operates on an all inclusive basis. However food was not upto the mark. Dinner was a basic Indian meal with one non vegetarian dish and only fruit cream for desert. Stayed at other resorts close by and they offer a choice of menus which the guest needs to choose in advance. Breakfast also was basic with only cornflakes or chocos and eggs to order or an Indian option."

"On 07 Dec 25, I stayed for one night in Room No. 104, and the experience was appalling and utterly unacceptable by any reasonable standard of hospitality. In all my years of travel, this property ranks among the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, given the pervasive unhygienic conditions, substandard service, and blatant disregard for basic guest comfort and safety. There were no tissues or paper napkins provided either in the room or in the bathroom, which reflects a shocking neglect of even the most basic amenities. Further, there was no packaged drinking water available in the room, restaurant, or at the reception; instead, unsealed bottles of unknown provenance were supplied, with no assurance that the water was filtered or that the bottles were clean. The room itself, as well as the lobby area, was permeated with a foul, stale odour from the moment we entered, which made the environment distinctly unpleasant. Although the staff were superficially polite, they were plainly untrained and careless: they were seen dipping their fingers into curry serving bowls and carrying multiple empty cups by inserting their fingers into the cups. Basic table service was also lacking; staff merely placed bottles on the table without so much as filling the glasses, giving the entire operation the feel of a roadside. While the buffet spread was adequate, the overall cleanliness was poor and there were numerous flies around the food area. Visible and aggressive cost cutting measures were evident throughout the property, manifesting in compromised service quality and neglected maintenance. The hotel appears to target tour operators bringing transit tourists on their way to ****** for a one night halt, but the standard of facilities and service provided is grossly disproportionate to the tariff charged and falls far below what a paying guest is entitled to expect. For the price demanded, the overall standard of this hotel is unacceptable, deplorable, and, in the circumstances described above, wholly indefensible."

"Located in Tezpur and on the highway. Staff were good & premises were clean. Breakfast was amazing and food options are good. Appreciate about the rain cover/ canopy in the side entrance, expect the same in front area, too. It would be nice, if they have lift and use some room fresheners in the corridor/staircase area as it closer to the kitchen. Hope, kitchen utensil sounds & staff chat to be nominal in that area. Washroom was spacious but the commode position is in the corner, which made problem for comfortable posture."

"Hotel krc palace is one of the best places to stay at tezpur. This hotel has excellent rooms. They also have a home stay nearby. They have multiple restaurants including one bar. Staff is courteous. One of the best things about this hotel is its location."

"Absolutely stunning property on a beautiful tea estate in Assam. My partner and I traveled here with our friends in late June 2026. We flew into and out of the ******** airport, and after a ~2 hr drive, we arrived at our oasis for the weekend. The staff at the hotel is top-notch - very attentive and accommodating. They were able to organize a tour of the tea garden and processing facilities with Koshik (so informative!). They also provided bikes for us to explore more of the surrounding 1,400 acre tea garden that surrounds the hotel. We stayed in the chalets and they rival some of the best accommodations we have stayed at around the world. Beautiful high ceilings, a large bathroom with a huge bathtub in the middle, and views overlooking the tea garden. Each morning was so serene - highlight of my stay was waking up early to watch the tea garden come to life with multiple cups of tea from the Merchants of the East tea provided in the room. Such a rejuvenating stay. I highly recommend!"
