Hotels near CKS Memorial Hall Museum Gift Shop, Taipei

I have booked a total of 3 nights in this hotel. We have encountered some confusion during the check in as the hotel renamed recently from Hedo to Le Room, and the room size or features of the room we booked initially. Nevertheless, we appreciated the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade during our stay. Perhaps there is renovation works going on in the building or around the building, they provided us a set of ear plug and I believed the complimentary breakfast was provided for the compensation. Nice breakfast spread. Strong connection for their Wifi. However, their pillow is too soft for me. Air con is not consistent, sometime in the middle of the night, the temperature may be a bit too warm for me. The water pressure is strong but sometimes the water suddenly become cold for 1-2sec. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel as the location was strategic. Walking distance to Ximending and exit z10 to the underground mall. The staff is also quite patience and able to compromise our request

A great value hotel with everything you need in a great location. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The shower works well. Stag are friendly and helpful and the location is in the heart of Ximen. The decor is a little dated and there were no windows in the room but if you just need a place to stay and aren’t fussed about beauty then this is a perfect choice!

We had a pleasant stay with Hotel Papa Whale, the building is not as new as the photos, but it's clean inside. The room was also clean and the staff were nice. They always restock what you use with the toiletries. I just wish they would change their food a little at the buffet. It was delicious but a bit tiring if you eat the same everyday. Overall, we had a good time. The location was also convenient. Close to everything. :)

There are two buildings and the one on Google is the one for more than one person's rooms. I wish it was an information I got before arriving so I didn't have to walk around, even though both are really close by. The other building only has a Chinese name on Google map - 西門星辰精典大飯店. Apart from that, my stay was very good! Room is nice, I didn't use the TV so I don't know about its quality. Aircon works wonder and the shower's pressure is top tier ! 🤣 We also got free hot drinks and I do love my hot chocolate from time to time. 😌 Window is useless though, it feels like you don't have one. Location is perfect. Not too far from the subway and some bus stops.

I chose this hotel with a reasonable price and the swimming pool. The staffs were very kind and helpful. There’s one nearby night market and the famous Longshan temple with 5minute walking distance. The overall area doesn’t seem so nice but close to the central areas and taking uber was very convenient. A decent size swimming pool was quite nice. There’s a water fountain but no bottled water provided. The convenient store is right next to the hotel though.

All expects of the hotel are done pretty well except for the service. It is located in the heart of Taipei City which makes going anywhere convenient, range between 15 mins - 30mins by cab. The breakfast are well cooked, just don't expect much variations. The service is really bad among the male employees. They shows an inpatient face & tone when I ask them for wifi password after check-in. And when there's problem in the my room, they expect me to fix it myself instead of sending a technician up. When I ask one of the old man, he quickly say 'No No', and leave. This is very bad. I will not be glad to return.

This is the new brand of Hyatt Hotel group in Taipei. First imoression: similar to Moxy, Citizen M focuses on social and fun with a touch of old fashion-CD Player and old music (nice & used to be popular). Room: good size with a cute wooden box CD player. The room has 2 bottles of 'sustainable glass bottle water', 1 energy powder, capsule coffee, and 2 tea bags. Toiletries were normal standard, and the cute part is eye mask, pillow mist, wooden massage board, ear plugs & and mask. F&B: they have one bar, which was a well-known bar from Taichung. I had a cocktail with a blend of tea. Way too sweet... It's not my ideal.. 5:30-6:30 pm Cocktail time offered free red and white wine, beer, and other soft drinks. I think the brand of white wine and red wine are pretty bad. I only used them for cooking, not drinkable... I honestly think if you gonna offer at least not a common brand of cooking wine that downgrade their chic standard. Breakfast was offered by ground floor restaurant, American style. I didn't choose it due to lack of time. The location is great, about 5 minutes from METRO station. There are only 4 stops from Taipei station. For this price, I think it's higher than other hotels. I would think 2 main reasons: 1st, it's a new one, 2nd good location and brand. But may not be value for money type of Hotel. One funny thing: after comparing with hyatt member price, OTA is cheaper, which is very common. But, I consumed beverages I could not accumulate my spending in my membership points, which I don't see the point.

You get what you pay for; the exterior of the hotel appears nice, suggesting it was once elegant, but it has lost its charm. The room has a moldy smell, and the floor needs replacing, though it's surprisingly clean. The elevator is small but better than none. The hotel's redeeming qualities are its affordability, proximity to restaurants, and convenient access to public transportation. If you seek a budget-friendly place to sleep in a convenient location, this could be your hotel.

Nice artistic hotel in a very convenient location close to the metro and bus station of Taipei Arena. The only issue is that the rooms are not very well sound-proof isolated because you can hear the sound of the water pipes from the nearby rooms.

The highlight of this legendary hotel is definitely the majestic and spectacular lobby. The hotel room is spacious with a very big balcony, excellent wifi and good and efficient service. The location is abit far from the city centre but there is shuttle bus service to the nearest MRT station. Will come back again next year.
