"Location of hotel was excellent and in center of Thimphu and easily walkable to eateries and shops. My room (deluxe with king bed) was very comfortable and clean with view of football stadium next door and mountain side. Bathroom had hot water all day with good water pressure in the shower. The wood panelling on one wall set up gave a warm cozy feeling. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

Phuntsho Khangsar Hotel

"Thimphu was the first stop on our Bhutan visit and this is where we stayed. Located nicely on a climb wherefrom you get a nice view of say half the city, one wakes up to green mountains on all sides of the hotel, the grand Buddha Dordenama statue, and a river, all within sight! Rooms are nice and spacious, service is warm and friendly. Food is very decent. I am glad we stayed here and would recommend the place to any of my friends"

The staffs are all approachable.It would be good if there's a place to dry our clothes after washing not just only on top floor. The staff were very friendly, helpful and flexible We asked for a bit more spice in our food for dinner on the second night and although they had never been asked for this before, they were most obliging! "I stayed at this hotel as part of a package tour of Bhutan. In general very average. The room was spacious and generally clean, but the bathroom was very shabby and in need of an urgent refurbishment. Poor breakfast. I am sure there are better 3 star hotels in Thimpu and I would not recommend this hotel at all."

"Our trip to Bhutan was fantastic thanks to the friendly staff at Le Meridian Thimphu. The service was excellent and the rooms very well appointed and each day we were greeted by the friendly staff. Special mention to the restaurant staff Demi Yangden and Mon Maya for their helpful suggestions for authentic Bhutan food and their friendly smiles each time we were at the restaurant. They really made us feel at home! On arrival in Thimphu we had some issues with the local ATM, it took our Visa card and did not give us our cash. We were in a panic and really stressed out. The receptionist at Le Meridian, Ms Singay Dema came to our rescue. She contacted the bank and came in the next day ( on her time off) to help us get our Visa card from the ATM and some Bhutan money. This was exceptional service from a hotel employee. We travel extensively and Ms Dema is one of the most dedicated employees we have ever met. Once again we are very indebted to her for helping us through our emergency. We hope to return to Bhutan some day and stay at Le Meridian and will strongly recommend that our friends stay at your hotel to enjoy the kindness and professionalism that we received on our trip.
