Three Forks Lewis & Clark Motel
4.4/598 Reviews
Of course we are leaving Yellowstone without hotel reservations.  We finally found availability in Three Forks, MT and is was in the general direction of our travels.  After arriving, we were so thrilled that fate brought us here!! Krissy took our reservation, reminded us to watch for wildlife and advised us not to pet the buffalo. So to the meat of our stay.  Hey!!! Another well run independently owned hotel.  A delightful little boutique inn with local history crocheted in. Exquisitely clean, the beds were comfortable, water hot and good pressure.  The towels were thick and soft.  Wish we could have enjoyed the deck off our room. The Zen pond and multiple waterfalls were beyond beautiful and inviting. The true heart of this hotel comes from the only person we met, Krissy.  She is not the owner nor the manager but she definitely takes ownership pride.  She does it all: cleans rooms, runs the front and even cleans the ponds and waterfalls. If you are in the area you have to let them host your visit as you travel.  A big plus as I have said in other posts being locally/independently owned, this hotel does not pay the huge franchise fees, thus passing the savings on to the customer.
