"We rented 24-3 from PMI vacation rentals. This is a very nice 3 bed, 3 1/2 bath unit with nice furnishings. The lanai is huge with a bbq, dining and patio furniture, BUT it is directly above the main road so the noise level is high at times. No ocean view due to trees, but lovely if you can handle the traffic noise. Once inside with doors closed, it’s very peaceful. Please note that if you rent from any source other than the Grand Wailea, you may not be welcome to use the GW pools, gym, towels, etc.. They are happy to take your money at the restaurants and bars, but don’t get close to the pools, as they will sternly tell you to get away. Although you’re staying at “The Ho’olei AT the Grand Wailea” not “The Ho’olei BEHIND the Grand Wailea” the GW does NOT consider you a guest. While we were there, two of the GW pools were closed anyway and we found the pool at the Ho’olei to be beautiful, quiet and perfectly adequate. "

"This resort hotel is much cheaper than the surrounding areas for a reason. The front desk staff has a bad attitude, and there is a cleaning fee of about $230 for each stay. It was hard to accept at first, but I was relieved after moving in. Because each room is large and there are many kinds of kitchen appliances, if you use everything, it is indeed time-consuming to clean, but I think it should not be the same. The same fee should be charged. Chinese people are generally very careful and will not repair unused equipment, so it is more reasonable to collect a deposit and then charge according to the actual situation. The overall feeling is that Maui is an island with tourism as its only source of income. It is the principle to make money if you can. It is OK to understand this."

"My stay at the Andaz Maui was overall very pleasant. Check in was smooth and welcoming, with the ladies receiving fresh flowers and the men brown beads, which made for a warm first impression. The staff also offered special lemonade at check in, and it was honestly one of the most delicious drinks I had on the trip. I’d recommend upgrading to a room with an ocean view, as it really makes a big difference. The non-ocean view room felt a bit dark, while the ocean view room was bright and relaxing. The hotel itself is a nice size, and the beds were soft and very comfortable for sleeping. The amenities were definitely the highlight. The beach was just steps away, complimentary sunscreen was provided, and there were multiple pools with incredible views of the ocean. There were a few downsides though. There was a miscommunication with my request to have the room cleaned. The room did end up nicely cleaned, but I had a slight argument with staff over it, which is not something I’d expect at a 5 star property. The hair dryer could also be upgraded since it’s not Dyson, especially given the nightly rate. Parking was another drawback, as it’s valet only and quite expensive with no self-parking option. Even with those small issues, the Andaz offers beautiful views, thoughtful touches, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes it a memorable place to stay."

Check in was simple, the stocked breakfast items were perfect, particularly the fresh fruit and the yogurt, and the location was ideal. The fact that we had items available to use during our stay helped quite a bit - we used the cooler for our our hike at Pipiwai Trail which required us to drive the road to Hana to get there."

"Great hotel, room had a small kitchen area which was useful as we cooked in a few nights. Bar area in the evening was pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely to sit on tables outside near the pool area. Didn’t use the pool but it looked ok and well used by other guests. Equally there was an outdoor bbq area - very handy. Concierge was extremely helpful recommending places to visit and restaurants. Parking was easy, lots of spaces but have to pay extra per night."
