Xining Chengxi District Hotels

This is my fourth time staying here, and overall, my experience has been great. The hotel facilities are well-equipped and in good condition, and the room hygiene is meticulously maintained, making it clean and comfortable. The service is thoughtful and patient, although communication can be a bit challenging when trying to express specific needs. The location is very convenient, right next to the airport shuttle pick-up/drop-off point, which saves a lot of time and effort when catching flights. It's quiet and livable, making it perfect for a short transit stay.

Pro points - The beds are soft and comfy, good showers with very hot water. Rooms were clean. The buses from outside connect well to the Muslim area of the city and the restaurants nearby are nice. Staff are friendly. Bad points - We booked a non smoking room, all the rooms available were infact non smoking and yet the whole place absolutely stank of cigarettes. We moved rooms because after dinner we came back to a haze of smoke in the room, everyone must be smoking. I live in China, I realise this isn't uncommon, but in that case don't advertise non smoking rooms.

A Warm and Memorable Stay in Xining ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a truly wonderful stay at Boliya Bu Hotel in Xining. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed not only by the excellent facilities and comfortable rooms, but also by the warm and thoughtful service. One of the hotel staff members shared their service philosophy with us: “我们希望给客人带来最温馨的体验” — “We strive to provide our guests with the warmest and most welcoming experience.” We felt that this was truly reflected in the way the staff treated us throughout our stay. What made our stay especially memorable was the genuine hospitality of the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive and always ready to help. Their sincere and caring service gave us a wonderful feeling of being welcomed and looked after, rather than simply being hotel guests. The hotel also provides many thoughtful complimentary services, including a good breakfast, late-night snacks and a self-service laundry room. These little touches made our stay so much more convenient and comfortable, especially after a long day of travelling and sightseeing. The facilities are excellent, the service is outstanding, and the overall experience is excellent value for money. A big thank you to the entire team for making our stay so pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Xining!

I had originally booked another hotel, but two days before check-in, I found out it didn't have air conditioning. I promptly switched to this one. It turns out that even in Xining (the 'Summer Capital'), AC is still a must. The hotel's location is excellent; it's incredibly convenient for public transport, with bus stops all around, making it easy to get to the main attractions in the city. There's even a park right across the street. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, the mattress had just the right firmness, bottled water was generously provided, and there was even a capsule coffee machine. The bathroom was large, with a separate wet and dry area. For breakfast, they offered local specialties like beef noodles, rice noodles, blanched vegetables, and milk tea. I particularly enjoyed the hot dishes because they had a good variety of vegetables. I'll definitely stay here again when I come to Xining.

Let's start with the positives: the location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby making dining convenient, and there's an airport shuttle stop right outside. The higher floors offer a panoramic view of the city's nightscape, which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel for my last stop in Xining before flying home. However, on the second day, breakfast was a bizarre experience. They had simply set up a few tables with food in the second-floor hallway, and strangers were squeezed together at large round tables to eat. It was incredibly awkward. There were only two or three unresponsive servers who showed no service awareness. On the third day, we were informed that breakfast had returned to the first-floor restaurant, and the food and environment were finally up to a normal hotel standard. Since my flight was in the afternoon, I called the front desk and was granted a late check-out until 3 PM, which shows the hotel's consideration for guests and good service. This is also why I gave a higher rating.

The room was very clean and tidy, and spacious enough. I stayed for two nights and it was quite comfortable. The breakfast was also plentiful, offering good value for money. There's a Luckin Coffee in the hotel lobby. It's a bit far from the city center, but Xining isn't that big, so getting a taxi to the Great Mosque, Xi'nanguan Street, and the TV Tower was still convenient. It's quite a distance from the airport, which is to the east, while the hotel is a bit to the west.

Overall, the hotel is quite good. All the staff are very friendly, the room was spacious (they gave us a free upgrade), and the housekeeping was excellent. They provided unlimited complimentary bottled water. I personally found the breakfast to be decent. The hot water for showering was plentiful and the temperature was stable. They even gave us a souvenir upon check-out. On the downside: Parking was quite difficult, as most spots were occupied by local cars. The afternoon tea wasn't great (no one was managing it, and there wasn't much to eat, so we didn't use it after checking it out). Waiting for the elevator took a long time, as it's a mixed-use building shared with many companies. Also, you need to walk a bit to find a good selection of restaurants around the hotel.

The hotel opened this year. The room is large and the decoration is very high-end, which meets my aesthetic taste. The whole house is smart, the lights and curtains can be voice-controlled, there is also a smart toilet, the projection image quality is very clear, and we also watched a movie at night. The bed is very clean and soft, and there are washing machines, refrigerators, and induction cookers. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Wanda. There are also many delicious foods around the hotel, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. Maybe because of the altitude, the bath water is a little small, and the full-body mirror at the door of the bathroom is a funhouse mirror, which makes me happy. Everything else is great! It's a pity that we have to rush the schedule, otherwise we will definitely stay a few more nights.

(1) The classification of garden-style hotels is simple and worthy of its name. The rooms are all in low-rise villa-style buildings hidden in the garden. The garden landscape is very large. It takes at least 40 minutes to walk through the entire hotel greenery. There are at least dozens of flowers, plants and trees. It is spacious, comfortable and quiet. (2) The hotel has relatively few automated things, but there are also advantages. There is no light pollution from any electrical appliances after turning off the lights in the room. (3) The hotel breakfast is very delicious. It can be seen that the ingredients are not sloppy and the cooking is meticulous. The vegetables are carefully fried instead of boiled and oiled. For example, the stems of snow peas are not torn cleanly. The vegetables are good and everything else is good. I especially like fried dough sticks and fried cakes. They are delicious, crispy but not greasy, and there is no residual oil at all. I booked a day and extended it for another day. Unfortunately, I got up late the next day and didn’t have breakfast. It was a pity. (4) The service is very professional, not just good but professional (5) There are some imperfections, such as the old decoration, but the flaws are not enough to cover the merits The geographical location, decoration materials, space environment, and exquisite food are already hardware that is difficult to put together. In short, I will stay here again next time I come.

I stayed on a high floor in a renovated room, which had a modern and elegant design. The sheets, duvet covers, and pillows all felt luxurious. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the bathroom was spotless. The toiletries provided were from Herborist. The biggest surprise was the concierge service for luggage both at check-in and check-out. The only drawback was that in the evenings, many guests were quite drunk, which made using the elevators uncomfortable. The quality of other guests was a bit hard to comment on. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, and it's a great choice for those who appreciate a refined lifestyle.
