Qinghai Chenxin Hotel (Xining Railway Station) ★★★
"The hotel's location is excellent, very convenient for getting around Xining from the train station. The hygiene and service were also good, and they even included breakfast. They arranged for me to have a room on a side that didn't get direct sun. The only minor downside was that the room next door had guests check in past midnight, and they were quite noisy, which was a bit disruptive."
Holiday Inn Express XINING RAILWAY STATION by IHG ★★★★
"The hotel is located near the high-speed rail station, which is convenient if that's your priority. However, if you're looking to explore the city, there aren't many attractions nearby. The hotel seems a bit old, with dated facilities and a small bathroom. On the other hand, the service was quite good; as a member, I even received a complimentary executive afternoon tea."
Heyi Hotel (Xining Daxin Street Night Market Central Square Branch) ★★★
"Nobody of the hotel staff speaks English. Fortunately there are translator apps."
LianDuo Hotel ★★
"Clean"
Qinghai Baiyun Xiangling Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is extremely close to the train station, it's literally in the train station square. On the other side of the square there's the bus terminal which is very convenient to get to kumbum monastery. The staff was very nice, they let me heat the baozi i bought at the supermarket (which unfortunately weren't tasty) the room is very big and they even gave us a sewing kit."
Heart Anchor Hotel (Xining Caojiabao International Airport) ★★★★
"This hotel is near airport and they provide free ride to airport. One draw back is that restaurants/shops near that area are closed after 6 or 7pm."
Elan Hotel (Xining Railway Station) ★★
"The room is very good, with a large space, separate wet and dry areas, and a good location. There are RT-Mart and Haoxianglai downstairs, and there are many restaurants. It only takes 8 yuan to get to the train station by taxi."
Huang'an Yunjing Hotel (Mojia Street Xiangnanguan Street)
"The environment is great, very clean and tidy, and the service is excellent. The location is unbeatable, right in the bustling night markets of Mojia Street and Daxin Street. You can literally eat your way through all sorts of Qinghai delicacies there. As a foodie, I just couldn't stop myself – it was an amazing experience!"
Xining Limeng Pedestrian Street People's Park Rezen Ruixuan Hotel ★★★★
"Good hotel. Comfortable, clean, good amenities and breakfast. Well located right by the park. Solid breakfast. No complaints, I'd stay again"

Sofitel Xining
"Everything was great, very high speed wifi too, unfortunately the staff doesn't speak English at all. Beautiful hotel and the exterior as well"
Haidong International Hotel
"To write this review, I specifically turned on my computer because typing on my phone simply couldn't express the overwhelming admiration I have for this hotel. I can confidently say that of the hundreds of hotels I've stayed in both domestically and internationally, this is the worst, without a doubt. Let me explain in detail. 1. The air conditioning wasn't working. After entering the room and turning on the air conditioning, I found it getting increasingly hot. I called a maintenance worker. This worker said that the hotel was no longer providing power to the air conditioning (the hotel has central air conditioning, so the main unit was probably turned off) because the temperature was very low. I said, firstly, whether or not to use the air conditioning is the guest's decision, not yours. Secondly, while the temperature wasn't high, the room was still very hot without opening the windows, and very noisy with them open. Thirdly, if you're not providing power to the air conditioning, you can indicate this on Ctrip so guests can choose freely. Then the worker became very unhappy. He said that providing air conditioning is not a small matter; it's not just one room, it's over 20,000 square meters! I said, "This is the hotel's problem, not mine. Just tell me if you can provide air conditioning?" The technician started giving me a sour look, said he could provide it, and then stormed off. I could clearly sense he was suppressing the urge to slam the door. I felt like, I booked a 5-star hotel on Ctrip, why should I have to put up with this attitude just to turn on the air conditioning? 2. A 7:30 AM phone call, offering breakfast vouchers like a beggar's ploy The air conditioning issue happened the night before, and then the next morning, around 7:30 AM, the room phone rang. The hotel receptionist said, "I'm so sorry, I'll bring you a breakfast voucher." I thought, first, calling at 7:30 AM, aren't you afraid of disturbing my sleep? Second, if you want to give me a breakfast voucher, you can do it when you're upset last night. Third, I'm here to stay in a hotel, not to beg for food, so I decisively refused the breakfast voucher. At this point, something interesting happened: I discovered the air conditioning in the room wasn't cooling anymore. I realized, this was a diversionary tactic, first tricking me into going to eat, then turning off the air conditioning. I understand the hotel's desire to reduce costs and increase efficiency, but next time, please specify that you don't provide air conditioning service so guests can choose for themselves, okay? 3. The room was extremely dirty. Seriously, it was incredibly dirty. I've never seen anything like it. Everywhere you could see was covered in a thick layer of dust; I don't know how long it hadn't been cleaned. I can't even imagine what it was like in the places you couldn't see. 4. The blankets smelled terrible. The blankets smelled like saliva, incredibly foul. I don't know how long the duvet cover hadn't been changed, but it was disgusting. After being disgusted by the air conditioning, I was disgusted by the blankets again and didn't fall asleep until 2 AM. 5. The bed was extremely hard. In my son's words, it was even harder than the hard board bed we slept on during military training. This hotel looks nice from the outside, very new, and the lobby is impressive, but everyone should be cautious. Later, while taking a taxi, the driver told me that when the hotel first opened, many people in the neighborhood held weddings and funerals there, but they found the restaurant's food to be terrible and stopped coming. Now it's just used for hosting events. I feel that even the best projects would likely fail if this hotel were used for such events. In the end, I really don't know what to say, so I can only wish the hotel all the best."
Qaidam International Hotel
"Stepping into the room, I immediately felt comfortable. It was clean, tidy, and had no strange odors. The bedding was soft, leading to a great night's sleep. The soundproofing was decent, so it wasn't noisy. The service was prompt, and any requests I had were handled quickly."
Boli Yabu Hotel
"The hotel has a quiet and cozy atmosphere with attentive and thoughtful butler service. They even upgraded our room when they saw we had a child. The breakfast was rich and delicious, making it a perfect base for our travels."
ELEGANT GARDEN HOTEL
"Location: Very good, with lots of food nearby, and a taxi to the pedestrian street is just the starting price. Environment: Large and clean, the entire facility is new and in good condition. The breakfast has a lot of variety and is delicious. Service: Very welcoming and patient throughout."
Xining Sanyu Hotel
"This hotel offers excellent value for money. The location is ideal, the service is attentive, the bedding is comfortable, and the cleanliness is also quite good. The breakfast is abundant with many choices. Overall, a very satisfying stay."
Yinlong Hotel
"First, the positives: 1. The facilities are excellent, and the rooms are spacious. 2. The pool facilities and service are excellent and highly recommended. 3. The breakfast is high-quality, rich, and delicious. Areas for improvement: 1. The service, from the front desk to the room service, could be more proactive, and not feel like a push-and-pull situation. 2. The room had a musty smell; those sensitive to musty odors should be wary."
The Sebel Xining
"The location is excellent with great services. The staff are friendly and helpful. They always try their best to serve you. The only concerns were someone smoke in the non-smoking floor that made the floor smelly. Hotel should minor and make sure no one smoke in non-smoking floors. My rooms TVs were not working properly, expect hotel check all room facilities before customer check in."
Wanda Moments, Xining Chengdong
"Our team booked this hotel for our company outing. Everyone was thrilled because we all got upgraded rooms thanks to our Ctrip benefits. Each room even came with a complimentary box of fruit and yogurt, which everyone found to be a really thoughtful touch that brightened our day. The rooms have a coffee machine – we didn't have time to use it, but it's still a nice detail – and an air purifier, showing great attention to guest comfort. There's even a weighing scale, essential for the ladies on our team! The toiletries provided are also of good quality; my hair didn't feel dry after using them. All in all, we were very satisfied."
THUNDEROBOT Jingjie E-Sports Hotel (Xining Beichuan Wanda Plaza)
"Good, clean, and fun."
H Hotel (Xining Central Plaza)
"The room was spotless and very clean, with new facilities and a great wet/dry bathroom separation. The sink was a really nice touch! The location is excellent and super convenient, right in the heart of Xining, very close to Wangfujing Department Store. There are tons of great food options and shopping plazas nearby. What really stood out was the warm, attentive, and thorough service; they cleaned the room daily. Plus, the airport shuttle is right across the street, which was incredibly relaxing – no need to lug my suitcase around!"
Plateau Impression Fashion Hotel (mojiajie Daxin Street Night Market)
"The location is good, and the rooms are large, spacious, and clean; they're perfectly fine for several people. The only downside is parking; you need to find a parking lot separately as there isn't one specifically for the hotel. However, the price is very reasonable."
Qinghai Hotel
"Great environment and excellent service, left a lasting impression."
Enraton International Hotel
"The hotel was very clean and they even gave us yogurt and a small gift. It's also very close to the Xiannanguan Night Market."
Hampton by Hilton Xining Kunlun Road
"The room was spacious and very comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the excellent soundproofing in the bathroom. From the chair, we enjoyed a very relaxing view of distant mountain ridges. The bedding was just right – perfectly balanced between soft and firm. Breakfast was extensive, and they even offered an evening supper. Definitely recommended, although the air conditioning temperature control was a bit temperamental."
