"My stay was terrible, I don't understand how this place has such high ratings. First, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The sheets had faint red stains and a tear. The toilet seat had yellow stains, and I had to disinfect it with hot water in the middle of the night. The drawers were filthy and still had items left by previous guests. Basic cleaning wasn't even done. More importantly, I woke up with a burning throat, and when I asked the cleaning lady, she said it might be formaldehyde! The service was also mediocre, and overall, the value for money is extremely low. I don't recommend this place to travelers; book with caution!"

"After returning from Golmud, I chose this hotel again. It was both my starting and ending point. After getting familiar with the surroundings, I realized the hotel's location is excellent. It's incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and transportation, with places like Nanguan Street, Xinqian Night Market, and RT-Mart supermarket all nearby. The alley itself is quiet, but both ends are lively. The laundry room and gym are well-equipped, and both the front desk and housekeeping staff are very friendly. I highly recommend staying here."

"The hotel is located right next to Wanda Plaza, which is very convenient. Parking is also quite easy; if you want to save on parking fees, you can park on the street. Out-of-town tourists won't get a ticket. The room facilities are relatively new, and the mattresses are comfortable."

"After our trip to Qinghai, we returned to the Holiday Inn Express, and it felt like coming back to civilization. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. There's underground parking, and the room was clean and spacious. For dinner, we had 'Kaiguo Lamb' at the hotel restaurant – selected short ribs simmered in broth for 15 minutes, then dipped in sauce, which was absolutely delicious! We finished with some vegetables cooked in the same pot. The breakfast spread, a mix of Western and Chinese, was also very rich. Compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels in mainland China, this one offered local specialties like yogurt and noodles. If I ever come back to Xining, I'll definitely choose to stay here again."

"Quite a peculiar experience. On the first day, we were told there were gas repairs and hot water would only be available from 6 PM. However, by midnight, there was still no hot water. After a tiring day of travel, all we wanted was a hot shower, but it was impossible. To top it off, the pipe under the sink in our room was leaking. We had to switch rooms. We were too tired to bother moving again, so we just made do. Overall, it's pretty average, and the breakfast selection was a bit limited. I hope things improve in the future."

The breakfast is a rich mix of Chinese and Western options, and we even received complimentary welcome fruit upon arrival. The facilities are comprehensive, with a free gym and laundry room. Overall, our stay was fantastic!"
Plateau Impression Fashion Hotel (mojiajie Daxin Street Night Market) ★★
"I stayed in a private bed room this time, not a dormitory. The room was very clean, with no strange smells, and the bathroom and shower were also spotless, with no mold issues. I was on the third floor. It's worth noting that smoking is allowed in this building. Someone was smoking in the lobby on the first floor, and the smoke would drift up the hallway. Even with the window open and the exhaust fan on, the smell of smoke from the hallway and neighboring rooms would sometimes seep into my room through the gap under the door. The soundproofing of the room was also just average, which was a bit of a shame. Closing the window and turning off the exhaust fan significantly reduced the smoke smell. I later bought masking tape from a nearby stationery shop and sealed the gaps around my door every night, which worked very well. It seems that Gansu and Qinghai are generally more tolerant of smoking compared to other places. Overall, though, the room was very clean and odorless, and I slept well at night. It was a good stay overall."

The guest rooms are fully equipped with all the necessary amenities and toiletries. The entire room was spotlessly clean and gleaming, with great attention to detail. The staff were warm, attentive, efficient, and thoughtful. Our room was on a higher floor, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views, perfect for enjoying the stunning city nightscape. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, highly recommended."

The surrounding area is clean with plenty of amenities, and transportation is very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore. This trip to Qinghai was amazing; the natural scenery and all the attractions were breathtakingly beautiful and truly rejuvenating. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Qinghai, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!"

"During my trip around Qinghai Lake, I stayed at the Kaiyuan Hotel in Xining, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is very close to Xining Station, within walking distance, which is super convenient for catching high-speed trains. The front desk staff were very dedicated and proactive in helping with any issues. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the restaurant was spacious. They also have an underground parking garage, which is great for those traveling by car. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the bedding was very comfortable. The hotel's surroundings have a well-developed commercial area, making shopping and strolling very convenient. It's close to Xining's shopping streets and night markets. Highly recommended!"

"My friend recommended this place, and it truly was excellent. The room was very clean and quiet, and the location was superb. I brought my child, and there was easily enough space for a family of four. They even provided fresh fruit daily, and the mini-fridge had absolutely no odor, which I particularly appreciated. The service was great, and the cleaning staff were very enthusiastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Xining."

"This stay was particularly satisfactory, the hotel was very hygienic, every corner of the room was cleaned, and the bedding toiletries were clean and odorless. The cleaning aunt cleaned up the room very carefully and the items were arranged in a regular manner. The front desk and staff are warm and patient, respond quickly to needs, intimate and thoughtful. The location is also convenient to travel, the overall experience is full, it is worth five-star recommendation!"

"Having stayed in so many hotels, this one really stands out! The environment is quiet and peaceful, like a paradise in a bustling city. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, and the gym and swimming pool facilities are brand new. The front desk lady checked in quickly, especially Miss Zhang who patiently guided the whole process, and also sent welcome fruits and yogurt. The room is full of details, I love it, the location is excellent, and the surrounding food and attractions are very close. Next time I travel, this is still my first choice!"

"One of the best hotels I have been to in China. And that is saying something, with that high a competition in China. It is located in a very convenient point of the city, which is within 1-2 km to the food and shopping districts of the Xining Center. We got the superior queen room, which is the standard, and it comes at a very cheap price. Beautiful, old-fashioned room, large, with a desk and a comfy bed. Bathroom was nice, with both shower and a bathtub. We didn’t use the amenities in our short stay, but at that price it was worth it even without using them. Overall a very good experience, I would definitely recommend it"

"Our final stop on the Qinghai-Gansu grand loop family road trip this summer was the JI Hotel Xining Railway Station. We booked a family room, which was impeccably clean, spacious, and bright. It featured a large 1.8m bed and a 1.2m bed; both were exceptionally comfortable, and the room had a cozy, inviting decor. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered fantastic, expansive views. Its proximity to Xining Caojiapu International Airport (about a 30-minute drive) was very convenient. This was hands down the best hotel of our entire journey. While located in Xining New Area, meaning there aren't many great dining options right downstairs, they offer a robot delivery service that brings takeout food directly to your room. The family room also came with a table in the seating area, which we found very practical."

"1. It's very close to the train station, and there are hotels all around, but being close to the station has a downside: it can be a bit noisy at night; you can hear the trains. 2. The service was good; they upgraded our room and gave us an extra breakfast voucher. However, the breakfast was very mediocre, and the extra bed was a metal-frame bed that easily shifted. Overall, it's decent and could be a good choice for a layover."
Heyi Hotel (Xining Daxin Street Night Market Central Square Branch)
"How can it be so hot in the room? Every room has a fan, but the blades were covered in dust. Even though it felt dirty, the room temperature was so high that we'd rather put up with the dusty fan just to get some air. The shower water, even at its hottest setting, was colder than body temperature, I have no idea why. Maybe they thought the room was too hot and people needed a cold shower to cool down? The ladies at the front desk had great service, but everything else was just so-so. Definitely a "wouldn't stay again" kind of place."

"The hotel's facilities are relatively new, but the leather upholstery on the headboard has a strong odor, as does the lingering smell of the decor. The internet TV doesn't play live TV and is essentially just for show; it's rather useless. The amenities are relatively new, and the towels are clean. The room is quite cold and there's no air conditioning control. The breakfast is on the colder side but has a fairly good selection. Parking is convenient and free."

"The stay experience exceeded expectations! The hotel has a modern design, spacious and bright rooms, and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a panoramic view of the city. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the bathroom has perfect details of dry and wet separation, and the toiletries are high-end and exquisite. All the fatigue along the way is swept away! The front desk was warm and thoughtful, and gave us an upgraded room. The breakfast was rich, and the local yogurt and mutton soup noodles were must-try. The combination of Chinese and Western food satisfied the taste buds. The location is convenient, it only takes 20 minutes to drive to Ta'er Monastery, and there is convenient parking nearby. The details are carefully considered and it is highly recommended to travelers who pursue quality!"
