From the moment we got out of the car, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helped us with our luggage all the way to our room, which is a service I haven't experienced in many other hotels. The front desk service was great and they were very helpful in resolving any issues. The room had so many thoughtful touches, like cucumber slices for a facial mask, a foot bath bucket for a relaxing soak after a long day, and a humidifier. They truly went above and beyond! I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area."

"The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for charging devices, dining, and sightseeing. The front desk service was exceptionally warm and attentive. After a long journey, I was exhausted and eager to check in quickly. The hotel staff patiently and efficiently helped us through the check-in process, providing service with a constant smile. The welcome fruit in the room was delicious, and they thoughtfully provided eye masks, truly making it feel like a five-star experience. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the lady serving the main dishes at breakfast was very friendly. This stay was genuinely the most thoughtful hotel experience I've had on my trip. Before we left, the hotel even gave us practical souvenirs, which really showed their care and enthusiasm. Five stars, highly recommend!"
Zhangye LanQi International Hotel
"This was the best value-for-money hotel we stayed at during our Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop trip. It even made us fall in love with Zhangye itself and its people. The hotel is upscale and grand, with complete and well-equipped facilities. It's clean and comfortable; the mattress was soft, and the pillow even had buckwheat hulls on one side (my guess), which was very comfortable. There was a selection of coffee, 'eight treasure tea,' and other drinks, plus complimentary snacks. The staff were friendly and polite. What touched us most was that the laundry lady washed and hung our clothes to dry in the middle of the night (we dropped them off past 11 PM) and delivered them to our room the next day. We've truly never experienced such warm and thoughtful service before, and we sincerely recommend this place to everyone. Finally, I'd like to add that Zhangye's Rainbow Mountains are beautiful, Mati Temple is beautiful, and the people of Zhangye are beautiful."

"Extremely satisfied with the twin room! The room was clean and bright, and both beds were generously sized and very comfortable to sleep in. The location is absolutely fantastic, making it incredibly convenient to get to the Colorful Danxia Geopark, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and the facilities were complete and functional, making our stay worry-free. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we visit Zhangye."

"This hotel is great, with a good location and pleasant surroundings. It was our third stop on the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop. The in-depth tour of Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park and the Giant Buddha Temple are highly recommended. The hotel even sent a complimentary fruit platter, which was a lovely touch. We were very satisfied."

"Perfect location, pretty hostel and nice owner. The toilets and shower were not very clean unfortunately and there are only squat toilets. The beds in the dorms are very hard and I was very surprised they don't provide toilet paper. The location is great and the owner has good advice."

"Environment: Located in a relatively lively area of Zhangye, it's a 10-minute walk to the Giant Buddha Temple and Zhangye Museum, and a 15-minute walk to the night market. Cleanliness: The hotel is new, well-equipped, and clean. Welcome fruit was also provided. A particularly good feature was the provision of clothes hooks, which was convenient for guests. The breakfast was plentiful, and the fruit was good. Service: Perhaps because the hotel is newly opened, we stayed for three consecutive nights. On the second afternoon, the door was locked when we returned, and the same thing happened on the third day. However, to be fair, the hotel responded promptly and resolved the issue quickly."

"Great location, right next to the Grand Buddha Temple. Lots of dining options nearby too. The parking lot is huge, and the buffet is plentiful. Very satisfied for a family trip, and the family room is super spacious!"
Jinyang International Hotel
"The hotel staff was friendly, but there were some serious problems. To begin with, I got half my money returned to me after I checked in and was told that I have to pay the full price again. I was then told that the next day I would get the rest of the money returned. That did not happen. The next day I asked about it, and after about 20 minutes talking to the manager, I was told that they would call my room later. About 30 minutes after that, they called and said that it would be returned that night. As of writing this, I have checked out and am still waiting. I seriously wonder if someone at the hotel is trying to scam people. On top of all this, both nights I stayed at the hotel, the lights stopped working. The first night I asked and they said that there was an electrical short. Both times, the lights did not work until about 9am."

What surprised me most was the hotel's exceptional cleanliness! Every corner was spotless, and the sheets and duvet covers were changed to clean ones, making my stay safe and comfortable."

"It feels very good. It is the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in recently. The smell in the lobby is my favorite. The service is also very enthusiastic. The lady brings local milk. I personally think it tastes better than Mengniu. The gym is also very good. It is worth recommending."

"Choosing Qiu Guo Hotel for my trip to Zhangye Ganzhou Ancient City was absolutely the right decision! The courtyard environment is incredibly therapeutic, filled with blooming flowers, fruits, and homegrown vegetables. The antique charm of the courtyard creates an amazing atmosphere, making for a quiet and relaxing stay. I particularly want to praise the breakfast; it's all homemade, authentic dishes, with ingredients like fresh vegetables picked right from the courtyard. It's healthy, delicious, and you can really taste the care put into it. Just a few steps from the hotel is the Ganzhou Ancient City Night Market, which is especially lively in the evening. You'll find all sorts of northwestern specialty snacks, and you might even catch lion dances or intangible cultural heritage shadow puppet shows, offering an immersive experience of the ancient city's vibrant culture. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing and getting around. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Zhangye, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area!"

"I booked a family room in advance and checked in after 4 PM on May 1st. The front desk staff assigned me room 1318, gave me the room key, and we were about to go to the room when they informed me that room 1318 hadn't been cleaned and moved me to room 418. When we opened room 418, it smelled bad. I called a staff member to come and check, and they said opening the window for ventilation would solve the problem. Also, despite booking a family room, there were no children's toothbrushes or slippers in the room. The room wasn't soundproof, and after 10 PM, the KTV downstairs was very loud, continuing until after 3 AM, making it impossible for us and our child to rest. Furthermore, there was an access panel on the wall near the window, with the panel on the floor, clearly indicating it was a maintenance room. Why would maintenance staff allow guests to stay there?"

The handsome front office manager even gave us a souvenir and introduced us to local food and attractions. He seemed to know a lot [sly smile emoji]. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Mehood Lestie Hotel (Zhangye High-Speed Railway West Station)
"The towels were used to wipe the cabinets, and luckily I wiped them because I'm not sure if the kettle is even safe to use. There's also this huge, space-wasting potted plant in the room, but no lamp on the desk and nowhere to charge my devices. The design is just awful. The room phone didn't work, which meant the robot delivery service brought my takeout twice. I had booked for two days, but I immediately canceled the second one! And there's nothing around here anyway."

"This is genuinely the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to the Northwest. I found out about it last year when I was planning my trip and saw it highly recommended by many users on Xiaohongshu. At the time, I wondered if it could really be that good, thinking it might just be a paid advertisement because the descriptions were so glowing. But after staying here, I realized it wasn't an ad at all – it really is that amazing. So much so that later, when we went to other places, my friends often compared other hotels to this one, saying this one was still better (and we even stayed in more expensive hotels on the trip, so please don't argue that it's just about the price, thanks). First off, they offer complimentary airport pick-up and drop-off, which you just need to book in advance – and it's free! Secondly, the service attitude is absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, through check-in, and until I checked out, they always helped me with my luggage. My bags were seriously heavy, so I was incredibly happy about that! What's more, the hotel provides free laundry service. The best part is that they'll come to your room to pick up your laundry and then deliver it back to you once it's done. Finally, no more staring at the washing machine and trying to time when to go get my clothes! I'd come back in the evening to find my clothes clean and even a fruit platter waiting for me on the table! In the evenings, they offer complimentary milk or dessert; you just need to call the front desk if you want it. The room also has a foot-soaking tub, complete with bath salts and hot water, which is incredibly thoughtful. Finally, when I checked out, I mentioned I needed an invoice. I actually forgot about it later, but then the hotel called me to ask if I still needed one! Oh my goodness, it's the first time I've encountered such an amazing hotel. I will definitely stay here again next time!!!"
