It’s been many years since I’ve been to Pittodrie house and the first time I’ve stayed. It’s a beautiful location and a stunning building, but looking a little tired just now, paint / wallpaper hanging from the ceiling in the drawing room / lounge and various other areas inside and out in need of attention. All the Staff we met were lovely: friendly and helpful. Our room wasn’t ready when we got there at 4pm, but we weren’t in a rush and a complimentary drink sitting in the lounge was very nice. Another couple were waiting longer than us for their room and were getting a little agitated. The birthday party we attended at the hotel was great, nice room, nice food and staff. Breakfast buffet was great and staff were again nice (although some had been working at midnight the previous night). Overall an enjoyable stay thank you.

Really loved our first visit to the Banchory Lodge. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much bother to them. The view from our room was amazing. Breakfast lovely. Evening meal, just ok. Definitely going again.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Pity it had limited TV channels and no WiFi facilities within but you could access WiFi in the main lobby. Another downside was you had to pay £5 each to use the swimming pool which was a real shame as this was not known to us prior to booking. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a full Scottish spread with very friendly staff. It was the highlight of our stay. Overall, a very pleasant experience at the Waterside and we would stay again.

Excellent location at the main roundabout just south of the town. Room was comfortable, but bare bones. One highlight was the speed of the wifi, which was outstanding. Check in takes place in the pub on the other side of the car park -- not so convenient in icy or wet conditions.

Heerlijk ontbijt, goede service, prima kamers. De bedden zijn wat smal en kort. Voor mij hingen de voeten buiten het bed bij volledig strekken (1m70) en t was erg knus met mijn reisgenoot.

Lovely little hotel, food was fab and staff were friendly and helpful x We had an issue with the TV remote they sorted it as soon as we asked. I would recommend the hotel replace the sofa bed in the flat it was awful, no springs left at one end, the thinnest mattress so you felt every spring that was left and we had to put a pillow in the big dip in the middle. Also they put what seemed like a single quilt in a double quilt cover. The bed upstairs was comfortable enough though so 2 out of the four of us managed to sleep. The location was perfect for our requirements, but there isn't much going on in the area at all. You are very close to Aldi and some nice little cafes and a few shops. There was entertainment but unfortunately as we had a traveller with us under the age of 18 we couldn't take up the quiz night or live music night as children needed to be out by 8pm. So it's definitely more for the older travellers not really for families with younger children.

GGuest UserI spent 4 nights at Rooms at 31 whilst visiting family in the area. It is ideally situated within Stonehaven, a short walk to the seafront and a pleasant (but steep) walk to the war memorial and Dunottar Castle. Stonehaven itself has everything you might need for a short stay: places to eat, groceries etc. Rooms at 31 was clean and adequate for my needs. There were a few minor issues in the room which I have already contacted the owner about, but this did not adversely affect my stay. Breakfast is a self-serve affair with access to cereals, bread/toast, packaged morning goods, hot drinks and juice. The advantage of this set-up is that you can have breakfast at any time and it's not restricted to limited serving times as you would usually have in a B&B. It would have been useful to have had a mini fridge in the room, and access to a microwave, perhaps, for being able to heat food when eating out is not possible/desirable. It would also have been nice to feel that the breakfast room was usable outside of breakfast instead of feeling I needed to eat my takeaway in my room. Overall, I found the stay rather impersonal, not seeing anyone else for my entire stay, except for a very short encounter one morning in the breakfast room with whom I suspected may have been the owner. If I hadn't been visiting family, it would have been a rather lonely stay. This is not a fault, merely my preference. I can see how it would work well for businesses travellers or anyone who prefers the self-checkout in a supermarket and not dealing with other human beings!

JJackiepWe stayed as a couple for 3 nights in an accessible room, the room was a good size and plenty of storage space, limited channels on the smart tv which was a shame, the mattress could be doing work being updated also as you could feel the springs through it. When I first saw the shower room I was pleased however after using it I formed a different opinion, the whole floor was sailing and became very dangerous trying to walk out over the tiles. I fell and luckily my husband was able to come and help me back up, if this was an elderly person or could be a very different scenario, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic and all staff were friendly and accommodating. I would stay again but not in M accessible room with tiles on the floor

GGuest UserNice place to relax old style Scottish decor but warm and staff friendly and helpful. Tried the downstairs restaurant on our first night which was excellent with good service and excellent food. Completely different on our second night in the Green Room service was extremely slow and erratic our starters took nearly an hour with quite a few of the other tables encountered the same thing we finished with the cheese board but had to complain about what had been sent which was not edible. This certainly spoiled our stay.

GGuest UserWe booked this three night stay believing it was close to the glenshee ski centre, a mistake I’m sure was mine, however the suite was stunning, nice Lesure centre and pool ,we found the bar and restaurant a bit limited but ventured in to town and found pubs and an Indian restaurant, in all a lovely quiet place to relax.
