Very welcoming hostel. Clean and family friendly. I have issue to climb up to my bunk bed because the ladder don’t have side handle to pull myself up. Good for younger people but for a 45 years old woman I found it a little bit challenging to get up and down properly. Have public sitting area and toilet after checkout , just need to ask the reception for access code for toilet. There is a pay luggage storage with a small fees. We paid a large storage and manage to leave 3 rucksack in there for 12 hours cost 5 Euro which it is very affordable.
Excellent location - metro, bus and tram stops right outside the hotel entrance, and Keleti train station is also a 10-minute walk away. The pillow in the room was very thin, but the receptionist gave me a second, better one. The automatic air conditioning system makes some noise at night, but by the second day I got used to it and it wasn't a problem. The only toiletries available were liquid soap. I asked for a bar of regular soap at reception, but there wasn't any. The toilet seat was a little loose and the shower wall bracket was broken.
Staying on a boat hotel is different and fun. This one was in a prime location, diagonally across from the Parliament buildings. Our cabin was small but comfortable, with padded, fabric-covered walls for a cozy feeling and good sound insulation. We enjoyed walking the upper deck at night, watching the moon rise over the bridge. The breakfast room was nicely situated to take advantage of the river view, and the breakfast itself was good. All the staff was extremely courteous and professional. Would stay there again, and recommend to others.
It was very good hotel, room was very small but equipped with all necessary facilities. Breakfast was superb and have huge selection. We had two negative experiences, first day hotel AC was not working and they changed the room next day. One day they have water shutdown from 11am to 8 pm and that was very bad experience but they did what they can. All the staff was very helpful and cooperative. I hope after renovations they will become a very good option in Budapest. They have no tea/ coffee arrangement in the room which hopefully will be included if they go under IHG group.
Clean room, great breakfast buffet, nice pools. The only downside may be the distance to the center of Budapest but bus stations are close enough. So calculate around 25 minutes. Recommended.
1 star for the staff because they were very friendly and helpful.
1 star for the location and good connections.
1 star for cleanliness.
So overall, 3/10.
There's a club downstairs, and it was so loud. Definitely not recommended for a family trip.
Unless you want to stay out late yourself.
I don't think the facilities are that great. Comparing it with the photos, I would have expected better.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't go here again.
I had breakfast there twice. The first breakfast was great, featuring Hungarian specialties like various sausages and roasted meats. However, the second breakfast was a bit disappointing; the only meat option was sausages, and the specialty meat was replaced with steamed pears, which were tasty but not quite the same.
The location is fantastic, right in the city center. The subway, bus stops, and a mall are all just a few minutes' walk away, making it super convenient to get around.
The cleanliness was also excellent.
Sophisticated hotel in a convenient location. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent in size, ours had a view out to the courtyard. Breakfast had plenty of options and was nice. There’s a luggage store at the hotel in case of early arrival. The roof top pool and sauna wellness centre was a lovely bonus and a great start to the day.
I'd call this hotel the best value for money throughout my entire European trip. First off, the location is super convenient, right by the train station – you practically step out and you're there. And the 4-star service is absolutely genuine; the rooms are incredibly spacious, tidy, and clean. The best part is how affordable it is, even cheaper than some 4-star hotels in certain cities back home.
Very Good
