The room I stayed in was very clean and had all the basic amenities, including a safe, which was reassuring. The door used a keypad lock, so I'd recommend taking a picture of the code on the first day in case you lose the paper. The only issue with the room was that the air conditioning had a strange smell, but fortunately, it was warm enough without it, so it didn't negatively impact my stay. To my surprise, the TV couldn't receive TVO, so I couldn't watch Nogizaka Under Construction or Star Tanjo. The location is a bit tucked away, about a ten-minute walk from both the municipal subway and Hankyu lines. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood at night, but my Japanese isn't great, so I was hesitant to go in, haha. Near the Hankyu station exit, there are quite a few shops, like Matsuya, McDonald's, and several convenience stores. There are no shops near the subway exit. I was here for a Nogizaka event, and the price was very reasonable, so I didn't really have any complaints. I had a great time in Kyoto.

Nice room with small space ! We love the location! Walkable to the main Kyoto station! * There's no Lobby and space for deposit the luggages you need to use coin locker outside till the check-in time! Because at the check-in counter it should be Lobby but they do the gift shop. For us everything was ok but only just the luggages issue! And highly recommend for everyone who traveling with small luggages ^^ enjoy Kyoto guys!

Loved this cozy and delightful capsule hostel. It’s just north of Nijo Castle and about a 15 min walk to the closest subway station. (Local not a JR Station) It’s about a 15 min walk from the Kyoto Palace and Gardens - just continue down the main road that fronts the premises. The deluxe cabin rooms are tucked away in the Basement level for additional quiet and privacy. There are multiple floors with capsule beds and shared bathroom facilities. There’s a laundry and common room on the 6th floor. Guests can grab all their essentials from the Family Mart or 7-Eleven just a 3 mins stroll from the front door. They also have ATMs and copying facilities. The staff are helpful and can speak reasonably good English. There is a wall of maps for major attractions close by. Loved the experience and will gladly recommend and return

The location is super convenient. From JR Kyoto Station, take bus number 9 and get off at Shijo Horikawa. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. There's also a 7-Eleven next door. The room isn't huge, but it's clean and tidy, and the front desk staff were very warm and attentive.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. That day, I traveled all the way from Wakkanai after visiting Cape Soya, then flew from Chitose Airport to Osaka, and finally arrived in Kyoto. I was incredibly exhausted, both mentally and physically. Beyond the usual tea bags and shower gel found in Japanese hotels, this place offered premium amenities like bath salts. But the best part was that this hotel has a 'power on' system for the room key! This meant I could leave the room with my card, and the electricity wouldn't shut off! You could also tell the local environment was pretty good; the birds on the street weren't afraid of people at all. They'd walk right next to the sidewalk, and wouldn't fly away even when people passed by.

The room was on the smaller side, but it was perfectly equipped. We booked a triple room, and it was just right for our needs. The hotel's location in Gojo is significantly quieter than Shijo, and its residential setting provided a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It's conveniently located near Gojo subway station. We easily walked to Shijo and Kyoto Station, and Kamo River was also within easy reach. There's a Mini Stop convenience store right downstairs, which was very handy for picking up essentials. The self check-in and check-out system was incredibly convenient. Both the main entrance and room doors used keypad codes, which meant no fuss with key cards. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay. It was quiet, clean, and the location was very good.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, making it easy to get anywhere. There's a bus stop right outside, and the subway is also very convenient. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, though the lighting was a little dim. The small eatery directly across the street served delicious food and offered amazing value. Even though the menu wasn't extensive, we ended up going there twice!

I really liked our hotel room. It was big enough for the two of us. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean. The staff were helpful as well. After our stay, we could also leave our luggage for a few hours before we left Kyoto so that was very nice. The hotel is also conveniently located because it's around 8 minutes walk from the Kyoto Station. Here, you don't have to worry about not having the same power outlets because they have USB type charging ports. The hotel feels relatively new as well. I really enjoyed our stay here.

I had a great stay at Agora Kyoto Karasuma. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed with a minimalist Japanese style that feels both modern and cozy. The location is perfect, close to transportation, shops, and great local restaurants, which made getting around Kyoto very convenient. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose Agora Kyoto Karasuma again on my next visit to Kyoto.

Facilities: Well-equipped, spacious room with a cozy wooden design. Hygiene: Very clean, and the bathroom is large. Environment: Very close to the subway station, and the surrounding area is quiet. Service: Very welcoming, and they even gave us a small gift.
