**Absolutely fabulous gem of a hotel – we’re already planning our return!** I’m almost reluctant to sing its praises too loudly in case we can’t get a reservation next time, but I simply cannot recommend The Ocean highly enough. This place is an absolute standout. From the moment you arrive, the service is exceptional. The team is warm, highly attentive, and genuinely approachable – every single member made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. They anticipated our needs before we even asked, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was superb, with a wonderful selection to suit every taste and waistline. What really elevated it was the full table service – a lovely, touch that made the whole experience feel special and relaxed. The hotel restaurant is an absolute must. After scouting every other option in the area, we ended up eating there both nights of our stay because it was, without question, the best find around. The menu offers a fantastic selection, everything is cooked fresh to order, and every dish we tried was outstanding. The portions are generous yet perfectly judged – so much so that we sadly couldn’t squeeze in a dessert, though the menu looked every bit as tempting as the mains. The hotel itself has been decorated with real taste and care throughout. Our room was stunning – fresh, modern, and incredibly welcoming, while still feeling cosy and homely. It’s such a refreshing change from the usual tired, tacky seafront offerings; the team has clearly poured heart and soul into creating somewhere that feels both stylish and genuinely comforting. Overall, The Ocean is a superb find – one of those rare places that ticks every box and leaves you smiling from check-in to check-out. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Booked a pod at 11.30 am for the same night.Surprised to be accepted at such short notice.Arrived approx 8.00pm Lovely Irish lady welcomed me and explained relevant details.The pod was very clean,exactly what it was described online.Toilets and showers clean and well maintained Would definitely return if I have the need to travel to North Norfolk again.Thankyou for such a lovely overnight stay.Great value and very welcoming.

A Perfect Day at The Bedingfeld Arms! What a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, The Bedingfeld Arms delivered exactly what we were hoping for—and more. Nestled in a charming location, it felt like a gentle escape into the countryside, with just the right mix of warmth and ease. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. We lingered over our meal, not wanting it to end! The rooms were just what we needed: cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. It was so lovely to wake up refreshed and step out into such a peaceful setting. While some might wish for a slightly more “posh” or traditional pub feel—Tom did miss the classic old-world touches like dark walnut floors and the scent of oak smoke in the air—we both appreciated the light, airy ambiance and modern comfort. It’s clear The Bedingfeld Arms has found its own style, and it’s working beautifully. Altogether, it was a delightful, cheerful, and refreshing day, and we’re so glad we chose to spend it here. Лучше без тяжёлого чемодана.

Brilliant location for Norwich City fc and easy to get too via car or train. Easy walk into town area too. Limited parking on site though. Got upgraded to twin room which was great but did mean room was downstairs and did hear quite a bit of noise. No fault on hotel/guest house just wish people were quieter. Overall lovely stay and only issues with guest house were no fresh water available and no hairdryer in room. Also would have been nice to have hot chocolate option in room.

Booked for one night to go to the football at Carrie road which is about 15min walk from hotel town centre is about 20min walk, it is easy to get to from the station just a short walk, arrived and some other guests let me in at first as the manager was not there, he arrived a few minutes later and quickly booked quests in, very easy process he showed me were I was staying as staying the other side of hotel, told me if I had any problems to ring the number on the paper stuck to the back of the door, and if I wanted to use the WiFi the code was also there. Room was small but had a shower toilet and sink as well as a hairdryer and clothes rack. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. Overall place was clean and tidy I stayed in the top part at the front it was a pleasant stay.

Communal toilets were clean, the hotel was warm but due to not being able to adjust the heating in the room ( house rules ) it was unbearably hot so we had to have the window open - no consideration from the staff at the restaurant next to the hotel as they were loudly throwing things into the bins just below our room at 12am. Therefore my partner had extremely broken sleep, did not feel rested and was exhausted the next day, but good value for what it is and likely better for solo business travelling as the hotel can supply earplugs. Rang the number for the hotel as advised before checking in, called three times but no answer so had to ring the doorbell twice before being let in, staff seemed unhappy to be answering the door and slightly unwelcoming ( this was at only 5pm )

The room was an accessible room and there was plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and hot. Plenty of choices The only poor issue was a nasty smell in the bathroom. We needed to spray deodorant in there before use. Sadly this was not what we expected.

However, they do have a slightly older decor that might not appeal to everyone. 4. **Toiletries**: A heads-up for future guests: remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as these are not provided. 5. **Location Considerations**: If you're not driving, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It’s a bit isolated, making it less convenient for those relying on public transport.
