Great comfort room and location nice swimming pool just a bit cooler than I’d have liked but was nice to have it and use it on our stay

The Hotel was ideally located to Rail Station, Shops & places of interest. Room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was brilliant. Plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Hotel had Gym facilities, although I did not use them they were there. And most important it had Car Parking which is quite rare. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to others.

Bit dated but regards to staff and stay couldn’t complain about anything slept well and staff were very friendly and accommodating would defo stay again.

Very clean n tidy. Impressed with the quality of roo and hotel versus your competitors. Quality bathrom products. Had breakfast too . Self sevice ...nice coffee well laid out ... however, wasnt keen on ur bacon im affraid. Other thsn that we'll be back to you on our next venture. Many thanks

We was very satisfied with the cleaning of the room, the receptionist was very nice and friendly, we had a spacious room and a comfortable bed, we like to come more often, the price of the room it is acceptable. Thank you

What a beautiful place, lovely area to explore. The hotel was very clean and tidy all the staff I had contact with were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be going back

The bed was terrible had a terrible night the mattress was so worn out it completely squashed together as I sat on the bed. When I reported it to reception the lady informed me that they were being replaced but for us not soon enough! Sadley as everything else was ok

An amazing building with historical connections. The bathroom was good, with deep bath and good mains water pressure. But the bedroom needed serious update. No mains lighting in the bedroom or hallway, just plug in side lights by the bed and a standard lamp on old fashioned round pin plug in hall. I had to use a torch to move round the bedroom. The lift wasn't working, although the membet of staff managed some manoeuvre to get it working which I couldn't replicate. Restaurant was ok but the standard of a reasonable pub, not fine dining. Menu was a bit odd - steak and chips, fish and chips style or ”venison pudding” which was a huge stodgy pastry with over cooked dry meat inside. Breakfast buffet was very nice, but too dark in that room also. Six jams and marmalades in open jars with no way of knowing what they were, and no little dishes to put them in to take to your seat. Service at breakfast had to be sought out, no one in site. Breakfast bacon was inedible - cooked previously then reheated. Overall, it is a fascinating place but needs a big overall and review of what they are offering.

The shower room is too thin, it is difficult to turn around, there is no floral head with soft throat, only flowers fixed on the top of the head The bathtub has a switch water system, and the faucet is even squeezed! !
