room was comfy with great sea view. the fitness room and jacuzzi were alright, but the infinity pool is not to be missed, especially during sunset hour! it was a great place to soak and relax after a long day of travelling. the location is very accessible, approx 300lkr for tuk tuk to nearby tourist spots.
Amazing hotel. Very good staff and service. They always greet you smiling. They upgraded us to Executive room for a small price. Fahad- thanks for all your help.
Breakfast spread is amazing. Everything is worth trying.
Hotel is in the heart of Colombo and very prominent location in Sri Lanka. I love the garden view. Food is excellent choices. Staff everyone is very courteous and well organise and presentable. All staff are consistently helpful. Special thanks to the restaurant staff Kamani ,Randil and Imesh. I will definitely comeback to this hotel when my next visit. My appreciation to all staff members during my stay.
The hotel strategically position it self on the beach, which make it popular and attractive.i enjoyed the room selected Premier Sea View with Balcony also the staff were professional and nice. However due to the Cyclone Ditwah were forced to be in our rooms for about 2 to 3 days nkt enjoying as much as per say.
The staff like Dasun was very helpful with check in process and other issue. The room was specious, clean and provided safe deposit which comes very in handy sometimes. The breakfast and dinner was delicious especially tomato's soup and fried chicken rice.
Thank you chef and the night waiter, sorry i did not get his name.
We recently stayed at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo with my family. Overall, the hotel experience was good, especially the location and service. However, the rooms feel overly traditional and colonial, which does not fully meet modern-day requirements. The heavy wooden furniture and old-fashioned, posh décor may appeal to older patrons who appreciate classic heritage styles, but it may not suit travelers looking for a more contemporary stay. The electrical points and facilities are also quite outdated and not convenient for today’s laptop- and gadget-dependent travelers. I would suggest that the hotel consider modernizing some rooms and amenities, while still preserving a few heritage-style rooms for guests who prefer the traditional experiences.
A nice, luxurious end to my first time in Sri Lanka. Room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the Lotus Tower, and service is extremely attentive. Breakfast was extremely diverse, and a server was eager to make local Sri Lankan recommendations which I really appreciated. However, the layout of the place is a little difficult, so be prepared to use a few different elevators to get around
Experience Sri Lanka's first theme-park style resort! Perfect for families and features a massive kids' water park, infinity pool, Gym and tennis/basketball court,"
Our family of three checked into the hotel during the first week of May 2025. Unfortunately, our overall experience was underwhelming. Room service was disappointing, our order was incorrect, and we chose not to send it back as we assumed it would take a long time to receive the correct one. It also took three separate calls just to receive the room service menu.
Additionally, we were charged for ice despite having an active room service food bill, which felt unreasonable. When we inquired about evening entertainment (Friday eve), the front desk assured us a live band would be performing, but this never happened.
It appeared the resort seems to operate with minimal staff, which may explain the drop in service quality. On a positive note, we were warmly welcomed by a great host at check-in, and the barman at the pool bar made excellent cocktails and provided friendly service. Hopefully, this could be just a rare slip-up.
We stayed at the hotel for one night before flying from Colombo to Russia. And it was the perfect choice! We were impressed with its friendliness, cleanliness, beautiful, cozy lounge areas, and spacious rooms!
It's a great choice for a pre- or post-flight getaway!
We were greeted from the very beginning upon arrival, our luggage was taken, and we were escorted to check-in. While we waited for our keys, we were given cold towels to cool down with and refreshments. It was the first time we'd encountered cold towels—just what we needed, as it was incredibly hot!
We were upgraded to a Superior Room with a complimentary room view, which was very nice.
Location: The hotel is 15 minutes from CMB International Airport. This is a definite plus, because the next morning we called a taxi and were at the airport in just 15 minutes.
It's not on the ocean, but it's located next to a beautiful lagoon—the view is stunning! The ocean is an 8-12-minute drive away, and the same distance to a street with shops, cafes, and bars.
Rooms: spacious, clean, with a wonderful balcony for the whole group! I'd call the shower a tropical downpour because of the incredible pressure! It has everything you need for comfort.
A refrigerator is the only thing missing in the rooms.
Amenities: The hotel has a pool, a restaurant, and a rooftop bar—everything you need.
Food: We didn't include breakfast in our rooms because the Sasha food court was nearby, where you can eat for half the price. But we did have dinner on the day of our arrival at the restaurant, at tables on the shore of the lagoon—it was amazing! The view is like being in a fancy restaurant. The prices aren't exorbitant, but the quality of the food is average. The food is worse than in Viligama. The pizza tasted like it came straight from a ribbon, the steaks were a bit dry, and the seafood was a bit underwhelming. 😏 But we've already been spoiled by the good food in Weligama. Overall, the restaurant is perfect for a snack and cocktails with a great sunset view!
The service: simply wonderful! Like a hotel in the Maldives)) They bring everything, help everyone, and don't even let you bring anything to the table yourself—they do everything for you. It was a real hit!
Conclusion: this is a wonderful hotel for a getaway before or after a flight! A couple of days here is a great option.

AAnonymous UserWe feel welcome upon check in. The room is very clean and very spacious. The reception staff help attend to all our queries promptly and assist us with our transport arrangement. Also help us with our luggages to and fro our room and to our car. Bed is comfortable, aircon is cold and hot shower is good. Room has WiFi and TV. Hot water for coffee and tea are located in the kitchen area . Free water from the water dispenser in the kitchen There is central ironing available outside the rooms for sharing. Washroom is very spacious, modern and well maintained with wet and dry area. Toilet roll, towels, Shower gel, hand soap and shampoo are provided. Breakfast is simple buffet with cereals with milk, toast with butter and jam, fruits, omelette with chicken sausage, coffee, tea and juice.
The location is next to the main road at the outskirts of the city but is near many shops and a small train station.
Overall very comfortable nice rest and breakfast with great staff. Great hospitality
NNipunikaI recently booked a room at this hotel for my parents, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their experience. From the moment they arrived, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my parents were comfortable and well taken care of. The service was truly outstanding.
The room was booked for one night and included breakfast the following morning, which my parents thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel also has a restaurant where guests can purchase extra meals at any time, which was very convenient.
The availability of a car park made their stay even more hassle-free. My parents were very satisfied with every aspect of their visit, and I’m grateful to the hotel crew for making their stay so enjoyable.
Thank you for your exceptional service!
This review highlights the key points and expresses your gratitude towards the hotel staff.
AAbhav KI recently stayed at the this Hotel, and it exceeded all expectations. The impeccable service, from check-in to departure, made my stay truly memorable. The room was elegantly furnished, offering both comfort and style. The breathtaking view of the city from my window was a delightful bonus. The hotel's attention to detail, coupled with a diverse and delicious breakfast spread, showcased a commitment to guest satisfaction. The central location allowed easy access to key attractions. Overall, the Parkview Hotel is a haven of luxury, providing an outstanding experience that ensures I'll be returning on my next visit. Highly recommended.
AAnonymous UserWe visited as a family of 7, including 2 kids. Chandana, the host, was very accommodating to our needs and went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. The place had a backpacker retreat type setting with Boho themes. The place is clean and well kept but appears to be a bit old, so expect the usual quirks of older homes. Parking is available for small cars only. Larger vehicles would need to park at the top of the cul-de-sac by the arterial lane. Overall, it was a positive experience.
AA.RoyThis rental is misrepresented. It's not a hotel but a ground-floor apartment with a security guard who checks you in. The entire vibe is suspicious from the start.
The room and bathroom are claustrophobically small, and there are zero amenities like a restaurant or lobby.
The only positive was the stunning view from the window, which was exactly as promised.
However, the staff were utterly unprofessional and hostile.
GGuest UserI stumbled across this place on my phone after arriving on the island and booked it without a second thought. I was pleasantly surprised both on the way there and upon arrival. It's located a little outside the city and into the beautiful Sri Lankan countryside. The house is situated on the edge of a small village, with a rooftop terrace offering views of fields and forests. It's incredibly inviting and perfect for relaxing. The entire house is built with great attention to detail, and you immediately feel at home.
The owner is incredibly hospitable, and the local food he offers is delicious. You can even learn a lot about the country from him. I stayed there for several days; it's a wonderful place to unwind. And it's not too complicated to get to the city. The nearest bus stop is only about a 15-minute walk away. I'd love to come back next time. Maybe next time there's even a pool on the rooftop terrace ;)
RRetnasabapathy VasanthakumarGreat location, easy to get in and out of the city. The staff was friendly. The price was terrific. There were great restaurants within walking distance. They allowed me to check in early and check out late. Will go back again.
