GGuest UserThe rooms are located on a private, secluded island, just a ten-minute boat ride from Langkawi's Cenang Jetty. There's an hourly boat service for transfers, and a dedicated meeting point at Cenang Jetty, which is very thoughtful. We booked a king-sized bed and paid an extra 110 per day, including breakfast, for a child's additional bed. We explored the island on our own and noticed some abandoned facilities that looked like they used to be part of another hotel. Contrary to some reviews, the hotel didn't offer a daily 8:30 AM guided trek for guests; you either walk by yourself or hire a guide for 120 MYR. If you walk alone, you're warned about an 800 MYR rescue fee if anything goes wrong. The name 'Trip.com' (携程) sounds enticing, but honestly, Langkawi's ecosystem is generally very good; I think Trip.com's descriptions might be a bit exaggerated. We followed old signposts to Red Rock Beach, where there's a cave, saw many pitcher plants and hornbills, and even met a French couple heading back. We had to turn back quickly ourselves, worried about the rising tide, as it was getting late. This beach, unfortunately, was quite littered, and even the private island didn't seem well-maintained. The hotel grounds are like a garden with many monkeys; apparently, you can feed them peanuts at specific times. Staff often chase them away. The hotel's coastline isn't very long, and the water is crystal clear in the morning. There are corals but hardly any fish, though we saw many sea cucumbers and hermit crabs. Food on the island is definitely pricier than in Langkawi and not particularly tasty, just passable. There's a convenience store on the jetty where we even had an instant pizza. Hiking on the island was quite interesting; it took us over two hours round trip.

GGuest User⭐️ (Strongly Not Recommended) My stay at A Coral Reefs Resort from 21–23 March started off acceptable, but what happened after check-out was deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s professionalism and integrity. After I had already left the property and arrived at the airport, I received a call accusing me of being involved in a missing RM1200 reported by three foreign guests. This accusation was based solely on a vague CCTV clip showing me sitting in the lobby and putting something into my pocket. Let me be absolutely clear: such an allegation, made without concrete evidence, is irresponsible and unacceptable. The hotel’s account of the incident was inconsistent and unreliable. I was first told the money was left on a table, and later it was claimed to be inside a pair of pants. The inability to establish even the most basic facts seriously calls into question the credibility of the entire claim. Even more concerning is the timeline. If the alleged incident took place on 21 March, why was I only contacted on 23 March, after I had already checked out and reached the airport? This delay reflects either poor internal handling or a lack of proper investigation. The CCTV clip provided was incomplete and unclear. It merely shows me placing my own personal belongings (my phone and medicated oil) into my pocket. There is absolutely no evidence that I handled or took any cash. Relying on such selective and inconclusive footage to imply wrongdoing is not only unprofessional, but also unfairly damaging to a guest’s reputation. We have formally requested the full CCTV footage to ensure transparency and proper verification of facts. Failure to provide complete and unedited recordings will only further undermine the credibility of this accusation. If this matter is not handled appropriately, we will not hesitate to escalate it through formal complaint channels. Guests should be aware that without clear evidence, this establishment is willing to cast suspicion based on assumptions rather than facts.

WWasabiRFacilities: While not a brand-new hotel, it boasts its own nature reserve ambiance. All rooms are individual wooden bungalows, offering different mountain and ocean views! The rooms are spacious! The balcony is very comfortable! Hygiene: The cleaning was excellent and very thorough! Environment: As soon as you enter, it feels like a giant natural garden combining forest and ocean. You can spot dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills everywhere, truly a wonderful ecosystem! There's no need to go out to see any other attractions when you're here! The pool is also very comfortable, not crowded, and the drinks at the pool bar are delicious! Service: Excellent! I received a birthday surprise, a handwritten blessing, a birthday cake, and an upgrade to a sea-view wooden chalet. The hotel is truly thoughtful and generous. They wished me a happy birthday during check-in, and the room was decorated with a little surprise! It feels like the hotel genuinely cares about guests' special occasions, even though I hadn't requested any of these in advance! So, I was very touched!

GGuest UserOur stay at Parkroyal Langkawi (Timeless Love By The Sea package) in Chenang was one of the highlights of our extended Malaysia trip. We hadn’t originally planned to stay here. While walking the full length of the lively Chenang beach from our Airbnb, we wandered into the hotel grounds and were immediately impressed by the well-maintained facilities and beautiful beachfront. What we thought was a private beach turned out to be wonderfully welcoming. We sat on the deck chairs, watched a couple enjoying a romantic beach dinner, and decided we wanted that experience too. After checking the rates, we found the pricing reasonable for a family. We booked directly with the hotel for two nights in a Premier Ocean View King Room, followed by two nights in Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms via Trip.com. The entire experience truly felt 5-star. We had read mixed reviews beforehand and went in with realistic expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised — almost everything exceeded what we anticipated. Check-in & Service On arrival, Hafeez handled our check-in smoothly. Since we were already on the island, we didn’t need the airport transfer, but we asked about using the return transfer for our whole family (including children arriving later). Concierge Saravannan went above and beyond by crediting the value of both transfers toward a larger 6-seater vehicle. We only needed a small Grab for the rest. This flexibility left a strong first impression. The Room Our Premier Ocean View Room (922) was excellent — stunning sea views, a large circular bathtub, an incredibly comfortable bed, and luxurious shower facilities. Minor signs of wear were easy to overlook. The room was high enough to avoid most pool and jet-ski noise, and we even enjoyed distant fireworks. The welcome chocolate pralines and sparkling wine were lovely touches. Dining The daily buffet breakfast was superb — a generous spread of Western and local dishes. We ate so well that lunch was rarely needed. Our first dinner at Cassia was decent, especially the sweet-and-sour fish with its nice charred flavour, though the pasta portion was small. Direct booking gave us RM50 F&B credit per day, which added good value. The undisputed highlight was our Candlelight Dinner on the lawn facing the beach. The beautifully decorated table made us feel like royalty. Service from Faheem, a 21-year-old staff member, was outstanding — attentive and proactive. A brief rain shower interrupted us after the first two courses, but the team quickly moved us into Lancava with the same setup. The food was excellent, especially the Sea Bass and Vongole pasta (flavourful clams with no fishy taste). The chef Mr Zul even came out personally to explain the dish. We saved dessert for the Ocean View Lounge, where Izzat served us cake and complimentary coffee. The coordination across departments was impressive. Second Stay & Family Time For our second subsequent booking, the hotel prepared one of the Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms early. A porter moved all our luggage so we could relax comfortably. The kids loved the pool, organised activities, playground, and kids’ club. The Deluxe rooms were spacious, though the sliding door sensor was overly sensitive compared to our Premier room. We enjoyed stepping out for affordable local food just across the street or into bustling Chenang. Breakfast was peaceful when we went early (7–8 am). This is one of the most detailed reviews I’ve ever written, but Parkroyal Langkawi genuinely earned it. From the warm Malaysian hospitality and constant smiles to the thoughtful service touches, every staff member helped create wonderful memories. It was the perfect relaxing end to our Malaysia trip — money very well spent. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire team!

GGuest UserIf you're traveling with kids, book a room by the pool. Just slide the glass door and you're right in the water. The breakfast is really good, with a lot of protein. Refill service is super fast. Even during busy season, the buffet stays well-stocked through breakfast. The beach has plenty of sun beds, and the spot itself is fantastic. That said, in my experience, the jet skis and other activities make the beach and nearby area feel more commercial than private. It’s not your typical huge resort with buggies and all-inclusive, but it’s perfect for a quick two-night stay, good breakfast, clean beach, and sunbathing.. Cenang Mall is about a 15-minute walk, and there are lots of small restaurants nearby. Keep in mind, when we stayed there, there was construction next door, so the views and noises weren’t ideal for a holiday.

TTacks⭐We had a very enjoyable stay at Ombak Villa Langkawi. The resort is located in a peaceful setting by the sea and offers beautiful sunset views. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the swimming pool area was a great place to unwind. The resort is also conveniently located close to the airport while still feeling quiet and secluded. Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The only minor downside was that some areas of the property could benefit from a little updating, but this did not affect our overall experience. We would happily recommend Ombak Villa Langkawi to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Langkawi.

LLiu FamilyI recently stayed at The Riyaz Lavanya Langkawi and overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience, especially for a couple trip. The room was spacious, modern, and well-maintained, with a highlight being the large bathroom and bathtub, which made the stay feel more relaxing and premium than expected. Everything was clean and well designed, giving a nice balance between comfort and style. The location is also very convenient. It is situated in Kuah, making it easy to walk to nearby dining spots. One of the best parts was being within walking distance to Orchid Ria Seafood Restaurant, where we enjoyed fresh seafood at reasonable prices. There is also Latitude 6 Degree Cafe nearby, which is great for coffee and casual meals. The hotel itself feels calm and suitable for relaxation, not overly crowded, and ideal for travellers who prefer convenience and comfort over a busy resort atmosphere. Overall, this hotel is a great value stay in Langkawi, especially if you enjoy spacious rooms, good bathrooms, and easy access to food options.

AAnonymous UserThe amenities were great,( i didnt try, but they look nice), nice infinity pool, located at the beach side. Breakfast area was nice, great deaogn, food variation was okay. I get to enjoy a nice sunset at the beach. The downside is the cleanliness of the room. The room smells of cigarette, so I asked for room freshener. They came and sprayed, but the smell still linger. I didnt say anything since I was quite tired. The floor was not vacuum, I can feel the sand on the floor when I stepped into the room, there are a lot at the room entrance. I had to wear slipper everytime. The space near the toilet was a bit cleaner, but still can feel the sand. It is not comfortable to pray. The WC was dirty, got yellowish stain at the bowl. The check in experience was not really smooth for me. I arrived at 1pm, asking if I can check in early, and they said the room was not ready, so I understand. I waited for 40 minutes, but it was still not ready. Then I went out for work, came back at 6.30 pm, but the check in was still not ready, and I need to wait for a while to get my room card even though they said that a room was assigned, I thought they have checked in for me, but no, they asked for my ID again. I left my luggage earlier, and they just left it in the open. The window locked was broken, even when I try to close, it opened by itself, no wonder I can hear the loud music and animal sound (like a bird or something, its loud and i can here it throughout my stay) I only realized that the window opened itself in the morning because the lock was broken, no wonder the aircond was not cold. I didnt realize because i didnt open the curtain till the next morning. Overall experience was not so good with the room, I was tired and upset with the room cleanliness. Apart from the ambience and the pool area, I dont think the hotel is up to 4-star standard in terms of cleanliness and hospitality.

GGuest UserPros: 1. **Location:** Conveniently situated between Langkawi Airport and Cenang Beach, just over a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. 2. **View:** Offers sea views (though not directly beachfront). 3. **Architecture:** The hotel's exterior resembles a cruise ship, and the lobby has an Islamic-inspired design. 4. **Staff:** The front desk staff are friendly and enthusiastic. 5. **Elevators:** Four elevators make getting around very convenient. 6. **Corridors:** The hallways feature a traditional Southeast Asian architectural style. 7. **Rooms:** Spacious rooms with partial sea views. 8. **Breakfast:** Wide variety of choices including Western, Chinese, and Malay options. 9. **Pools:** Located on the second floor, there's an outdoor swimming pool, an infant pool, a regular pool, and a dedicated pool for Muslim women. You can also order food to be delivered poolside. The changing rooms are very large. 10. **Shuttle Service:** Free scheduled shuttle bus service to the night market and Eagle Square. 11. **Luggage Storage:** Luggage storage is available. 12. **Nearby Dining:** There's a restaurant with a pool next door, which has a nice ambiance. Across the road, there's a Thai restaurant run by Chinese owners, offering good value for money. Areas for Improvement: 1. **Condition:** The corridors and rooms are a bit dated. 2. **Air Conditioning:** Some rooms have central AC, others have wall-mounted units. In some cases, the wall-mounted units didn't blow air, and we had to clean the filters ourselves, which were very dirty. 3. **Bathroom:** The bathroom lacks a modern feel. 4. **Breakfast Quality:** The breakfast quality isn't very high and also feels dated.
