I'll just list the cons: The hotel room facilities are too old and definitely need a renovation. The price including breakfast was too high, especially since they charged an extra 108 RMB for children over 12. We decided not to let our child eat there. We stayed at three hotels during our Datong trip, and all of them offered free breakfast for children, so this was a bit disappointing. The breakfast itself was also quite mediocre, perhaps due to the New Year period, making it not worth the price. The toiletries in the room didn't match the hotel's star rating; the shampoo bottle was actually empty, forcing me to squeeze out a tiny bit just to wash my hair. Overall, I felt quite let down by the Shangri-La brand.

My business trip coincided with the summer vacation, so I decided to bring my family and kids along to stay at this hotel. Firstly, the service was absolutely superb. The rooms were spacious and inviting, featuring a large bed and comfortable tatami-style seating. Complimentary fresh fruit was provided daily, and the shower water pressure was excellent. The breakfast was another highlight – incredibly varied and delicious! They even provided complimentary breakfast for our child over 130cm tall. While kids might not eat much – perhaps just a bowl of noodles and a few side dishes – this thoughtful and considerate gesture truly set them apart from other hotels. Overall, the experience was outstanding. For any friends visiting Ordos Kangbashi district, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel as their top choice. Its location is also excellent: it's close to the Ulan Mulun River, perfect for watching Asia's largest musical fountain at night, and there's Mother Park right behind the hotel. In short, the location is absolutely superb. Highly recommended!

When I booked, customer service patiently answered all my questions, and on the day of arrival, they sent a message in advance with important reminders. The lobby manager personally assisted with check-in and even proactively introduced the hotel's facilities. The room service was exceptional; I called for a hairdryer, and it arrived in less than 5 minutes, and they even tidied up my messy desk at the same time. When I left, the staff helped with my luggage to the car and even prepared a special farewell gift. The entire experience was flawless, warm, and professional, making it absolutely fantastic value for money!

The hotel room is okay, the only thing that is not ideal is the shower head, which is not particularly convenient.
