Service: A day before arrival, a dedicated butler contacted me, providing the exact location of the parking lot. Upon reaching the hotel, we met in the lobby. They thoughtfully reminded me about breakfast times and recommended dishes, offering warm and attentive service. Environment: Excellent! I was assigned a room on the top floor, with stunning views of both Taihu Lake, the bridge, and Fisherman's Wharf. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel. A plus for free boat shuttle service to the hotel. The breakfast is simple but tasty. It also located at the spot with the best night view. The hotel staff especially, 李小姐 is very patient and helpful when attending to our queries. She has helped us to arrange for private transport from Nan Xun to Hangzhou at a reasonable price. Thanks Ting Jian for everything provided to us during our stay. Will recommend to friends

The room wasn't huge, but I was pleasantly surprised to find heating in winter! We stayed in Building 2, and the West Lake was right outside – absolutely beautiful. We visited in February, and there were already plum blossoms in the courtyard. Besides the plum blossoms, the hotel had also decorated with lots of lovely flowerbeds and displays. Xixi Wetland also has plum blossoms in February, and even special boats for viewing them, so Hangzhou is a great place to visit in winter! The hotel breakfast was quite good, and my child really enjoyed it. The golf cart driver was enthusiastic and actively told us about the hotel. When we checked in around 10 AM, the front desk staff told us that if there weren't many people, we could go explore and they'd call us when a room was ready, but we never got a call. When we went back to the front desk closer to 2 PM, we saw quite a few guests already checking in. I'm not sure if they had the same room type as us. Also, when other guests were checking in, a staff member patiently introduced things to them, but we didn't get that. I hope the front desk can improve their service awareness in this area.

I originally planned to book a Marriott or Hilton, but switched to Nanhu Hotel instead. It turns out that was a very wise decision. The hotel's location is superb, perfect for a run or a stroll. You really can't beat it. The design is also very nice; the rooms have a beautiful, spacious Chinese style. The air conditioning heats up incredibly fast, and the view of the pagoda outside is lovely. Someone pouring coffee at breakfast was a nice touch, showing they're moving towards international 5-star standards. However, the lamb noodles, which everyone raves about for breakfast, were just average for me personally. Also, I really liked the red boat-themed ceramic cups in the room and bought some from the hotel. The front desk helped me inquire, and two staff members from housekeeping went back and forth several times during the process – I really appreciate your trouble, thank you 🙏🏻. If I had to point out areas for improvement, the dinner at the hotel was good value and the taste was decent, but the service was a bit slow. The air conditioning made a slight noise at night, and there was a faint renovation smell in the room. But for people who aren't sensitive to these things, it should be fine.

Our stay was fantastic! Special thanks to Ms. Zhan at the front desk for her thoughtful service and help during check-in. She upgraded our room when possible and gave us recommendations for evening activities. What really stood out was when she offered us two warm, yes, warm walnut cookies – they were so comforting and delicious, like coming home, especially since we were a bit hungry! We extended our stay for another night, and Ms. Jia at the front desk was equally warm and attentive. The entire hotel, from its facilities to its soft services, feels grand and well-designed. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of choices. I also appreciate their strong commitment to environmental protection, with trash cans that have ditched plastic bags – excellent!

The room was really spacious, especially the balcony, which was huge – you could practically play badminton on it, haha! The view was superb. The staff were very friendly, and the housekeeper, Ding Xinjiao, proactively offered extra bottles of mineral water; she was particularly enthusiastic. The only minor drawback was that food delivery couldn't come upstairs. It would be great if that could be improved.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The TV had a lot of very interesting shows including English language movies and movies with subtitles. The bar in the lobby is also very nice, the bartender makes very good MaiTais. Definitely recommend!

Location is perfect: Directly opposite the International Trade City, within walking distance. The second floor connects directly to Xingguanghui Shopping Mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Service is on point: Shangri-La's standard of service – attentive and polite. Members often receive upgrades and late check-out. Food and beverage are reliable: The breakfast offers a wide selection and consistent quality. The Chinese restaurant is suitable for business dinners, with both local and Cantonese dishes available. Amenities are comprehensive: There's a heated swimming pool, gym, and executive lounge. The high-altitude views are great, perfect for night photos. ⚠️ Minor drawbacks: Opened in 2017, so the facilities are showing their age, and some rooms are slightly dated.

A fantastic stay. The hotel feels very new. Upon entering, we were immediately charmed by the welcoming staff at the entrance and the stunning, tastefully designed water features. Our spacious room featured a practical wet/dry separation in the bathroom and boasted an excellent view. The sofa and coffee table were thoughtfully designed, creating a comfortable area perfect for working, reading, or simply relaxing and chatting. Breakfast offered a wide selection and excellent quality. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Cixi.

I'd been looking forward to visiting the West Lake State Guest House for a long time, and finally got to experience it just as the magnolia season was ending, thanks to a Ctrip Black Diamond event. And it certainly didn't disappoint! The gardens of the West Lake State Guest House are indeed beautiful and grand. Sitting by the lakeside, watching the bustling crowds on the Su Causeway across the way, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility. The hotel's service felt just right – very natural. Many of my needs were anticipated and taken care of in advance. Our courtyard room was on the first floor and had a small private patio directly facing the Ziwei Hall. While the privacy wasn't as great as some other room types, it was excellent for families with children, offering a better and more open view. It was a truly wonderful experience, seeing the magnificent 'Magnolia King' in full bloom during Hangzhou's most beautiful spring. I'll definitely come back to experience the beauty of West Lake again.
