Hotels With Pools in Luxor Governorate, Egypt

Our absolute favorite hotel in Egypt for our 10-day trip!! I was so surprised for our whole trip from the entrance to the lobby to the room because it's sostunning yet super affordable!!! Amazing amazing view, room is similar to what's shown in the photos. Customer service is standard, nothing more yet nothing less than what I expect from a 4-star hotel. If I really have to choose something I don't like, probably just the bathroom layout but even that is not a big deal. Honestly a highlight during our trip and what made Luxor specifically so lovely to us 💕💕

Although it is located slightly outside of downtown luxor, it was only about 15 mins walk to the board walk area and luxor temple. There were lots of small supermarkets and local food options nearby within walking distance in the evening. (We noticed a lot of food places did not open u until about 3pm onwards). The local streets are very alive at night with vendors and food at reasonable prices. Check in took a long time and the staff appeared to also be working on something else at the same time as processing our check in and did not seem to be too interested. When moving around the hotel and entry/exit at entrance, the door staff and security seem disinterested and would be nice to have just a welcoming smile or hello. Overall, it was a good and comfortable stay and would recommend for anyone exploring luxor for a few days.

The hotel is located on an island which is not in downtown, close to the airport and a little bit far from famous temples etc., but it is acceptable and quite safe, away from noisy. The facilities are a bit old but still clean. The billboard is not well maintained and can't be used, table tennis and tennis rackets are old, just usable but not enjoyable. The service is good, we arrived in the morning and reception desk was very busy, after some minutes waiting we were lucky to get our rooms ready to check in before time. Sometimes the staff are over-occupied but overall they worked nicely and kindly to the customers. The breakfast was great, it is a plus and also every Friday there is Egyptian buffet dinner where you can enjoy quite a lot of different kinds of food, including crabs, fish, beef, duck, chicken and many desserts. There are 3 pools there and we enjoyed them, even though temperature was not warm enough we still managed to swim a little bit in infinite pool which is the biggest. Along the Nile river you will enjoy good views and even see balloon rising up in the morning.

I must say that the hotel is really clean and warm, and you can sit down and make breakfast for us even if you haven't had breakfast yet. Although the location is a bit remote, the whole courtyard is really warm and clean, and the staff are very polite and professional. There are boys sweeping the floor every day, and they will stop when they see guests passing by, and continue after they pass by. It is really a thoughtful hotel.

This is a decent, economically priced hotel. The key benefit of this hotel is its location - along the Nile corniche, and walking distance from the Luxor temple, Luxor museum, the ”souq” or tourist / souvenir market, and various shops and restaurants. Rooms are a little dated though very clean. There is also a pool, gym, and spa, all the modern creature comforts you need from a hotel (I did not use these facilities so cannot comment). Staff are generally friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is also very good - a very wide spread with hot foods (think hard boiled eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes and the likes), a whole selection of pastries which were fresh, an egg station, salad bar, fruits, yoghurt etc. They even start breakfast at 5.30am for those who need an early start touring. No toothbrush/ toothpaste provided (this seems to be the norm in Egypt), no razor available even on request.

The Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor Hotel & Spa, while showing its age, still hints at its past grandeur. The rooms are incredibly spacious and very comfortable, with good amenities – even the TV is a Japanese LG brand. The laundry service is reasonably priced, which is a big plus for long-term travelers. Breakfast offers a decent variety, enough to meet daily needs. The hotel's location is convenient, within walking distance of Luxor Temple, making it easy for sightseeing and getting around. Overall, it offers good value for money.

Highly recommend this hidden gem hotel in Luxor! The overall environment is clean and elegant with a super comfortable atmosphere. There are neatly arranged lounge chairs by the outdoor swimming pool, and lying on them to sunbathe in the afternoon is the perfect cure for travel fatigue. The breakfast has a mind - boggling variety of options, with hot dishes, cold cuts, desserts and freshly squeezed juices all available, kick - starting your day full of vitality. Several in - house restaurants are also outstanding, allowing you to enjoy authentic delicacies without leaving the hotel. The room details are well - thought - out. The provided safe allows you to store your personal valuables with peace of mind. The biggest surprise is the bedding—the mattress and pillows are so soft that you won’t want to get up once you lie down. A special shout - out to Yasmin at the front desk! When I arrived at the hotel, it wasn’t yet the check - in time, but she kindly helped me check in early, enabling me to drop my luggage and rest sooner. It was such a thoughtful gesture. It offers great value for money for a one - night stay. You definitely won’t regret choosing to stay here in Luxor. Truly recommended to everyone!

I booked a Nile view room, and overall it was pretty good. The only thing is I didn't see any hot air balloons for two days, which was a bit strange. The hotel has its own pier where you can enjoy the sunset on the Nile. The Thai restaurant on the first floor definitely caters to Chinese palates; we ate there three times, it was so delicious! The hotel breakfast was just okay, and the staff weren't very enthusiastic. I was a little surprised to see 'Happy Chinese New Year' right when I entered the lobby, possibly because it's been acquired by Huazhu Hotels Group.

The bathroom facilities were complete, with a well-designed wet/dry separation, high-quality toiletries, and good water pressure in the shower, allowing for complete relaxation. **Dining Services:** The hotel restaurant offers a rich variety of breakfast options, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors authentic. The service staff were friendly, making for an enjoyable dining experience. **Other Facilities:** The hotel also features facilities like a swimming pool, catering to the needs of different guests. I suddenly felt compelled to write a review here in Hurghada. Checking into a new hotel yesterday, the housekeeping staff knocked on our door and warmly asked if we needed anything. This reminded me of Mr. Saleh, the housekeeper at a Luxor hotel, who made me feel completely at home. Since I love towel animals, I left a note and a tip asking if he could fold a crocodile for me. After a day out, I returned to find a huge elephant on the bed! And a cute doll sitting next to it 🪆, which made me incredibly happy. Mr. Saleh probably saw the Jellycat elephant on my bed and folded a similar one based on my preference☺️. The next day, he folded a crocodile 🐊 and a monkey 🐒 hanging from the light. Returning in the evening, it was another surprise! Walking into the bathroom, there was a small fresh flower 🌸 in a cup, instantly brightening my mood, and all my fatigue vanished. On the morning of check-out, I received another swan 🦢. During our stay, he promptly replenished our toiletries and kept the room spotless. If you choose to stay here, Saleh will undoubtedly provide you with the best service. That morning, after a long drive without eating anything, all I wanted was to check in quickly. However, I waited for over half an hour for check-in with no progress. The Trip.com customer service was very responsive and helped us resolve the issue immediately. Thank you to the curly-haired lady at the front desk who upgraded our room. I love the papyrus paintings in the room; they are exquisite and not easily found or bought in tourist areas. The room facilities are excellent and well-designed. In a limited space, everything you need is there. I could comfortably sit in front of the mirror to do my makeup and sit on the sofa to eat hotel food. The wet and dry separation in the bathroom is well done, and the lighting is good. I especially like that I can choose to turn off individual lights instead of just one master switch. However, other service staff we encountered at the hotel were quite cold. When asking for our room number at breakfast, their expressions were indifferent. Walking into the restaurant, the staff were very cold. One lady, not wanting us to sit at an un-set table, suggested we sit at a table she designated with cutlery. We still sat where we chose, and she showed impatience. For the next few days, she would just glance at us expressionless and walk away. When there was no cutlery on the table, I had to find someone to set it for me; so many staff in the restaurant saw me standing there with a need but wouldn't actively set the table. The managers in suits only asked European and American guests if they needed anything. During our four-day, three-night stay, not once did they speak to us. The front desk staff on the day of check-out were also very cold, only saying 'finished, bye bye' to me. At the other hotels we stayed at in Egypt, the staff were all very friendly, making us feel welcome and happy. So, I believe that no matter how good the hotel facilities and cleanliness are, mutual respect between people is more important. Therefore, I want to thank Mr. Saleh again and hope he encounters more appreciative guests. BTW, housekeeping staff are very busy every day, and extra requests increase their workload. A proper tip is a form of appreciation for them ❤️
