The hotel is new and beautiful, with a great location just a five-minute walk from the subway station. The service was attentive and thoughtful; we switched rooms halfway through our stay, and staff helped us with our luggage the entire time, which was much appreciated! The front desk staff were also super nice! My only minor complaint is that we wanted two latex pillows but the hotel only had one available. Other than that, everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back!

The location is excellent, very close to Sakuragicho. We could easily walk to Minatomirai 21 for a lovely evening stroll and to admire the night views. There's a massive shopping mall nearby that has absolutely everything you could need. Even the pedestrian overpasses are equipped with escalators, which is super convenient! Hotel service was impeccable; they even left two extra sets of toiletries right outside my door, which was a nice surprise, haha! I highly recommend staying here! The value for money is absolutely spot on. Plus, just a left turn out of the hotel entrance leads you to a bustling street packed with delicious local snacks!

My colleague stayed here before and recommended it, so I decided to give it a try this time. It's a bit of a shame the window wasn't perfectly aligned for the best view, but I could still see the ocean, which was nice. The area downstairs is great for walking around too, with malls, drugstores, and supermarkets all easily accessible. Plus, the subway is nearby, making it super convenient for getting around.

I originally planned to stay one night in Hakone, but after checking some guides, I realized there were so many attractions. So, I decided to book an extra night. Apparently, booking two separate nights doesn't guarantee you the same room. The front desk lady spent quite a while checking her computer to arrange a single room for me. Next time, I'll remember to book both nights at once. It might have been because of the Chinese New Year period when there are lots of guests checking in. Hakone is perfect for a one-night, two-meal stay. Since the attractions in Hakone are spread out, it's best to spend the day fully immersing yourself in sightseeing. If you get hungry at lunchtime, just grab some snacks to save time, and then enjoy the hot springs and buffet at the hotel in the morning and evening. The rooftop hot spring might use regular hot water, but it wasn't too crowded, and they had some toiletries and skincare products, so I just decided to wash up there instead of in my room.

Exiting Minatomirai Station from Exit 6, take the escalator on your left up to the 2nd floor. Go straight (don't turn left) until you reach the main hall, then turn left and follow the Tokyu Yokohama Bay Hotel signs. Go up a few steps, walk to the end, and through the glass doors. You'll then be on a connecting corridor that leads to the hotel lobby; walk about a hundred meters, and you're there. It's incredibly convenient. The location is excellent, with sightseeing boats right downstairs. It's also very easy to walk across the Goddess Bridge to the Red Brick Warehouse. For daily shopping, food, and drinks, you can head to the area near the subway station. The Keikyu bus to Haneda Airport costs 1000 yen per person and stops right at the hotel's ground floor entrance. You can book your bus time a day in advance with the concierge on the first floor, which is very handy if you have a lot of luggage. I hope to stay here again next time.

Located right in Chinatown, it's just a 10-minute walk from the subway station. The front desk has Chinese-speaking staff. Service was polite and very attentive. The waterfront park is also only a 10-minute walk away. The coastal area is beautiful, with charming little streets, and it's very convenient for supermarkets and dining.

The location was amazing right when you get off from Shinjuku - the amenities are nice and the staff helpful. Just note that checkout is at 10:00AM and getting a late one requires you to pay. A bit pricey, but not in comparison to other options in Hakone.

We enjoyed the rather spacious room and the view of rolling hills. With large beds and a tatami room, it felt rather luxurious. The entire place has an 80s vibe, but good thing we liked the nostalgia it brought for us. The room was quick clean too. Only that the outside balcony and windows had a few rather large spiders and spider webs. Good thing we don't have arachnophobia. They have two locations for their onsens at different timings. So that needed some getting used to. The onsens themselves are decent enough. Getting to the place was a little tricky as we didn't know what was the best bus to hop onto. We hopped onto the bus that Google Maps indicated was the most direct, only to realise as we were boarding that that bus was not covered under the Hakone Free Pass. On hindsight, to utilise the Hakone Free Pass, one should take the bus to Yunessen, the hotel next door and walk a short distance uphill. For the price we thought it was quite worth it, especially compared to some of the other hotels nearby.

The curtains are not completely shading in the morning. It is easy to be awakened. The sauna or swimming have to bring your own swimsuit. I forgot to bring it. So if you rent it, you need money. The clerk can communicate in English. This can also be used for bathing facilities.

We went as a family, rooms are very spacious. You have everything needed. I like the idea that they even provide small samples from some local brands to help the local business I guess. They use Polar shower series which like a lot. Location is great too, our balcony could see Mt Fuji directly if the weather is clear.

Oosiris27This hotel is conveniently located about 200 meters from the Tenyu bus stop, accessible by Hakone's main bus lines, Z03 and J03. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and has a very stylish ambiance. The Japanese-style room, though not huge, was quite spacious and quiet. Despite checking in during February, the room's excellent insulation actually made it feel warm. The private open-air bath on the balcony was amazing; even with outside temperatures around 5 degrees Celsius, the continuous flow of 40-degree-plus hot spring water meant it was never cold. The hotel also offers outdoor public baths and a footbath. Plus, on the 5th floor lobby, there are two free ice cream machines – just ask the front desk for complimentary tokens to enjoy as much as you like – and a continuous supply of various iced teas. I must especially commend the dining experience; half-board (dinner and breakfast) is an absolute must! Upon check-in, the front desk proactively changed our two nights of shabu-shabu to one night of shabu-shabu and one night of kaiseki. Each dinner was a full course, incredibly delicious, and left us completely stuffed. For breakfast, there are two restaurants, and I highly recommend the buffet; the variety is extensive and far superior to the breakfast at the Imperial Hotel, which is often ranked as a top Tokyo dining spot on Ctrip. The hotel also hosts free evening performances, and you can even pay to release sky lanterns. Honestly, if I came to Hakone 100 times, I'd stay at Tenyu 100 times.

GGuest UserBooked with private onsen - best part of the hotel! The public onsen was never busy when we went and perfectly enjoyable. The nearby one that guests have access too offers more onsen options and is worth the 3 minute walk over. As others say, the buffet isn’t great. Most food is cold - so pick options you expect to be so (sushi etc) for the best option. The service was very good and the staff very helpful and friendly.

GGuest UserService and amenities were excellent but hotel transportation is inadequate for visitors to this area. You are basically relying on prearranged hotel food service unless you like Italian every night or else there is no reliable way of getting into Gora or nearby eateries safely especially at night. Uber or taxis are unreliable and non existence while we were there. We ended up buying food during the day and use hotel microwave to heat up our dinner.

GGuest UserLovely place we stayed at! It was perfect for our family of 4! There was a nice footbath. There is a toilet for anyone wondering and 4 western style single/twin size beds. The place was decorated well and we loved the style of it! We're really sad we didn't get to stay longer. There is a major hill in front of the hotel but it wasn't a problem since we got a taxi. Though they are a bit hard to come by. The facilities were lovely, we enjoyed the Onsen and the massage chairs. Dinner was also delicious and breakfast was continental style.
