The room was surprisingly spacious for Japan, which is a rare find! The small balcony offered a great view of Yokohama Cruise Terminal and the amusement park, really letting you soak in Yokohama's modern vibrancy. On a nice day, you could see the roller coaster at the amusement park running non-stop. All the attractions in the Minato Mirai area are within walking distance. Downstairs, there's a shopping mall and the Minato Mirai station, making transportation very convenient. The only downside is that a single trip to Yokohama Station on this line costs 200 yen, so going to places like Kamakura or Yokosuka will add a bit more to your travel expenses.

This is a very nice hot spring resort hotel. Finding it at this price during the New Year period is great value. The hotel is quite close to Carved Forest Station, or you can go to Gora; there's a free shuttle bus. If you're taking public transport, you can get off at Tenyu Station. The rooms are large, with balconies, a reasonable layout, separate wet and dry areas, and heating. The hotel itself has a hot spring. If you want to dine at the hotel, you need to make a reservation in advance. There are also restaurants nearby; I arrived quite late and had some yakiniku (grilled meat) nearby.

I booked the largest corner room at this hotel, and while it was a bit smaller than I expected, it's still acceptable given that Japanese hotels are generally compact. There was absolutely no problem laying out two large suitcases flat on the floor. The view from the window was lovely, and on a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji. The hotel has a very popular sky pool, which requires reservations to enter, but it's great for photos. Breakfast was decent, pretty standard fare, though you might have to queue if it's crowded. The location is excellent – it's quiet despite being in a bustling area. The subway station is about a five-minute walk away, and there are convenience stores and large shopping malls nearby. I much prefer this area to the vicinity of Yokohama Station; you can even walk to see the Ferris wheel from here. I would definitely consider staying here again on future visits.

This hotel is quite unique! Because it's built on a hillside, its first floor connects to the fifth floor of a neighboring shopping mall, while its main lobby is on its own fifth floor. The higher floors offer even better views. The lobby entrance faces directly onto the mountains, providing stunning scenery, and the foot bath by the entrance is wonderfully therapeutic. Both large onsen pools have outdoor sections with fantastic views. They are fully equipped with jacuzzis, saunas, cold plunge pools, and massage areas, making for a truly satisfying hot spring experience! Both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style and taste excellent. Additionally, the hotel offers a wide range of complimentary activities. I highly recommend the Mori no Yu onsen facility that partners with the hotel; it has numerous hot springs with diverse styles, and the bathing experience there is even better than at the hotel itself. This was an absolutely perfect onsen experience and well worth it.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to Chinatown, making it incredibly convenient for dining. The beds in the rooms are quite large, unlike typical twin beds. Although the hotel is a bit old, the cleanliness is decent. However, on our last night, around 4 AM, a drunk Japanese guest tried to open our room door. While they didn't succeed, it genuinely scared us. We immediately reported it to housekeeping, asking them to check the surveillance cameras. Housekeeping initially said the cameras couldn't see that area. Since it was still early morning, we decided to address it again at check-out the next day. When we checked out, we raised the issue once more. The front desk assistant manager, a woman named Junko, handled our complaint very seriously. Her English was excellent. I insisted that the cameras be checked immediately. When we returned from dinner, she confirmed it was a drunk Japanese guest. Regardless of whether that's true or not, I appreciated her positive attitude. Everyone knows Japanese people enjoy drinking, and I just wanted to bring this to the hotel's attention, hoping they'll take incidents involving intoxicated guests trying to open random doors seriously to prevent them from happening again!

The location is excellent, very close to Sakuragicho. We could easily walk to Minatomirai 21 for a lovely evening stroll and to admire the night views. There's a massive shopping mall nearby that has absolutely everything you could need. Even the pedestrian overpasses are equipped with escalators, which is super convenient! Hotel service was impeccable; they even left two extra sets of toiletries right outside my door, which was a nice surprise, haha! I highly recommend staying here! The value for money is absolutely spot on. Plus, just a left turn out of the hotel entrance leads you to a bustling street packed with delicious local snacks!

The curtains are not completely shading in the morning. It is easy to be awakened. The sauna or swimming have to bring your own swimsuit. I forgot to bring it. So if you rent it, you need money. The clerk can communicate in English. This can also be used for bathing facilities.

I originally planned to stay one night in Hakone, but after checking some guides, I realized there were so many attractions. So, I decided to book an extra night. Apparently, booking two separate nights doesn't guarantee you the same room. The front desk lady spent quite a while checking her computer to arrange a single room for me. Next time, I'll remember to book both nights at once. It might have been because of the Chinese New Year period when there are lots of guests checking in. Hakone is perfect for a one-night, two-meal stay. Since the attractions in Hakone are spread out, it's best to spend the day fully immersing yourself in sightseeing. If you get hungry at lunchtime, just grab some snacks to save time, and then enjoy the hot springs and buffet at the hotel in the morning and evening. The rooftop hot spring might use regular hot water, but it wasn't too crowded, and they had some toiletries and skincare products, so I just decided to wash up there instead of in my room.

Environment: The hotel is located in the mountains, the air is very fresh, the night is very quiet, there is a small river and a small waterfall next to it. The hotel is not far from Hakone Shrine, Lake Ashi and other attractions. Service: The service is very thoughtful, breakfast is very rich, and you can also book lunch and dinner. Facilities: The overall decoration of the hotel is relatively new, and the room area is much larger than that of a hotel in Tokyo at the same price. The hotel's hot springs are indoor and outdoor, very clean, listening to the sound of the waterfall outside the hot springs is very pleasant.

I was very satisfied. It was my first time visiting Yokohama from Hokkaido. The scenery and the room were so beautiful, it was almost too luxurious for me. My trip to Yokohama was so enjoyable. I'll come again.

JJennifer WLCRight in the heart of Yokohama Minato Mirai 21! I booked a room facing the city, and it had a perfect view of the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel. The night view was absolutely stunning, and I could even see ships coming and going from Yokohama Port from the side. For breakfast, they had Hokkaido's unique Kurosenkoku natto, which had a different texture than the natto you usually find – definitely worth trying! Next time I visit Yokohama, InterContinental Yokohama Grand will still be my top choice!

VVhiveWe stayed in a few Ryokans but this Yoshiike Ryokan is the best because the room have large window that allow fresh mountain air to flow into the room and the futons are incredibly comfortable and warmed. We came in January when the weather dropped to 0c and the room had heaters. The onsen is beautiful and natural. My wife loved the gardens. And the receptionists are very polite and happy. We loved happy people that makes your money well spend. Will come back in the winter.

GGuest UserWe booked a room with an open-air onsen and tatami mats. By the time we finished dinner, the futons were already laid out. There are also large public baths, both indoor and outdoor, which are very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style with a good variety of dishes. The steak, shrimp, and sashimi were all very fresh and excellent. After a dip in the hot spring, I bought a bottle of milk from the vending machine and relaxed on a massage chair – it was truly wonderful. We were a bit rushed this time and didn't get to explore the hotel's surroundings properly. I'll definitely come back again.

KKai Z.Great Hotel with a stunning view. The service was great and we were welcomed in English, so check in and check out were not a problem. Staff was also really helpful when we had questions. Only thing to consider might be, that the Hotel is not easy to reach. We have to walk around 15 minutes by foot from the bus stop on the road. I believe there are shuttles but we didn't use it. For us it was no problem but might be difficult for older people or with little babies. Also we heard steps from the room above us in our room and people talking from rooms next to us while in the private onsen, since the terraces are basically next to each other. I recommend to eat outside since there are many great and affordable options in walkable reach. All in all, very nice stay and I can only recommend.
