I came with the night flight so this hotel was just a bed to sleep before I move to another hotel. Overall nothing much to complaint as it’s only 22 USD. The room has just bed, safe, AC and bath room has 2 pcs of soap and 1 small bottle of shampoo. That’s all. The staffs are nice and friendly. The location is good. Walkable distance to tourist attractions

The hotel location isn’t that great but it’s still within the city area. Front desk service is good. We book just for a night to try out and see if we can book again the next round but the experience wasn’t that good and will give this hotel a missed next time.
We’re given a no window in the middle of the hotel room with not much space and not much amenities and no slippers for within the room use. We won’t know if there’s a fire broke out when the alarm or the water sprinkler malfunction.
The rack in the toilet was directly above the toilet seat even when there’s ample space to place in the toilet as it was spacious inside. Too little hanger and place to hang for a family room.
Very good experience staying at Citadines, nice environment. But there is an issue where the firing alarm since happen frequently, and the smoke ventilator will be running with very loud noise, which affect my sleep although actually there is no smoke present.
i recently stayed at this LYF hotel room 316 and had a frustrating experience with the room lock. Upon returning to my room, I found that my key card wasn't working. I went to the front desk (M-GS) for assistance, and they provided me with a new card. However, the new card still didn't work.
The front desk staff called for security assistance ( F-SEC ) but the wait time was excessive. I waited upstairs for almost 15 minutes without any update. When I went down to check, I was surprised to see the security personnel going to my room without me. The front desk girl later informed me that the security personnel had indeed gone to my room without me present.
To make matters worse, the security personnel attempted to open the door without my presence, which raised some concerns about the hotel's security protocols. Despite their efforts, the door still couldn't be opened.
Overall, my experience was marred by poor communication, long wait times, and questionable security procedures. I hope the hotel will take steps to improve their service and ensure that guests feel safe and supported during their stay.
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The service really stood out — the staff at check-in and check-out were incredibly welcoming and efficient, making everything smooth and easy. Special thanks to Mr. Hong, Mr. Adi and Mr. Maran! The room was spotless and very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooftop bar was a highlight, with stunning views, and attentive service. The pool area was also amazing — relaxing, clean, and beautifully maintained. Overall, an excellent experience that I would highly recommend to anyone!
everything is ok.. the breakfast food is delicious while eating you can see the sea.. the view is beautiful.. the location is good.. the beach is close to the hotel.. only the cleanliness is a little lacking in the room.. the bed sheet is dirty but a little.. the worst thing is the smell of the pillow is a bit less pleasant.. hope the hotel can make improvements

Love it love it love it. I got a view to kill for. The service is great, check in was smooth, the staffs are friendly and professional. It’s a central area so main tourist attraction like Chulia street, Hin Bus Depot, Chew Jetty are walkable distance. I walk alone in midnight from chulia street and it’s pretty safe. Shopping malls are near by so can easily access. Breakfast was good. But I think the pool area can be improved to look lively. It’s pretty dull so I didn’t even go for swimming. Over all, this is definitely the place I will recommend and will stay again next time.
The most memorable stay for the year 2025 for me and my husband.
We originally stayed from 26 November - 28 November 2025 and planned to stay somewhere else on 29 November.
We were so impressed and touched by our experience staying here that we decided to come back on 29 November and finally checking out on 1 December 2025.
So that makes our stay with DoubleTree By Hilton Penang 4 nights in total.
First of all, many thanks to Reservation Agent Mr Dylan Chow for his support over email conversation to allow my husband to have my vehicle parked at the disabled parking lot right in front of the lobby in consideration that he’s physically disabled.
However, there seems to be lapse in communication when we arrived around 3:30 pm on 26 November when the guard / concierge initially refused to let us park at the disabled lot due to the policy only registered disabled driver is allowed, despite the fact that my husband has provided our vehicle details to Mr Dylan in his email 2 days prior. After clarifying with the guard and concierge then we were allowed to park our vehicle.
However, subsequent days followed were smooth, no one was stopping us from using the disabled parking lot right until our very last day on 1 December 2025.
Big gratitude to the hotel staff for providing complimentary decoration for our room after it have been made known that we were staying there to commemorate our wedding anniversary.
Throughout our stays, all the hotel team members were polite, kind and courteous to us.
We loved our rooms so much - Room 530 on our first stay and Room 340 on our second stay.
We also want to express our gratitude to support agent Syida for her excellent service rendered toward us. Not to forget all the cleaners, concierge, the guards and restaurant crews especially Mr Raj and Mr Kimi for the wonderful experience we had during our private romantic dinner on our last night.
To sum it up, next time we are in Penang, we will make sure that we are staying at DoubleTree by Hilton, Penang. Thank You!

It is a beachfront hotel. There is a beach that kids can swim and play there . It’s perfect for family. I like sit by the restaurant to watch the sunset and feel relaxed. The restaurant has breakfast but not variable enough. Beside has a friendly swimming pool for kids . There is a gym next to the pool. It is sea view gym but the equipment in there is not many choices. The hillside room is spacious and clean. But it is near to main road so you can hear the vehicle noise in the middle of night. The staff are very friendly and nice. If you like to eat the local food, there is a local food court in walking distance. There is variety of choices and delicious.
