The location is convenient; there's a local diner (cha chaan teng) downstairs, along with a 24-hour Seven Eleven and a buy-one-get-one-free Apple Mini Mart. It's also close to the Big Gala Seafood Restaurant, and there's a McDonald's, KFC, and a Center World shopping mall nearby. The hotel service is great too. Definitely worth staying here.

It's an older hotel, just like it was 20 years ago. The location is excellent, and the lobby is still grand. However, the room facilities are quite dated, and the beds in the twin room are very small.
**Environment:** You can watch the sunset from here.
**Cleanliness:** The swimming pool and snorkeling area were very crowded and a bit messy.

I had a really pleasant experience as a solo traveller. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The facilities were well-maintained and clean, which made the stay very comfortable.
I especially enjoyed the amenities, which exceeded my expectations. Everything was convenient and easy to access. The atmosphere was relaxing and felt safe for solo travel.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again!

The Hyatt Centric was a fantastic experience! We arrived at 9 AM and asked the front desk if we could check in early. To our surprise, they had an available room and arranged it right away! After dropping off our luggage, we headed across to Suria Sabah Mall for some 'Ah Yen' and exchanged some Malaysian Ringgit at B1 according to the Alipay exchange rate. It's only 200m from the popular Sutera Harbour, which we visited twice. Gaya Street is also very close, just a 200-300m walk. The environment and service were both excellent.
The hotel breakfast was incredible value for money. For a room that cost 800 yuan a night, the breakfast was à la carte, and the service staff spoke Chinese, making communication very easy. The variety of dishes was extensive, including Chinese, Western, Korean, and Southeast Asian options. I highly recommend the Indian bread with curry and the Beef Laksa from the à la carte menu – they were absolutely delicious!

We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade when checking in, offering a full ocean view. It was absolutely stunning and made me feel like we'd chosen the perfect hotel – a true beachside getaway is exactly what a vacation needs! The room itself was very spacious, and the bathroom was even bigger, cleaner, and brighter than it appeared in the online photos. We arrived late and caught the tail end of the sunset, and it only took a few minutes to walk down to the beach to see it. My friend and I aren't early risers, so we skipped Jesselton Point the next day and instead departed directly from the hotel's pier to Manukan Island. There were plenty of boat times available, and we took the 12:30 PM one. There's a dedicated boat for hotel guests, which also drops you back at the hotel – super convenient. If you want to visit The Magellan, the hotel also provides a shuttle bus. The Magellan is more family-friendly, but if you're looking for better value, The Pacific is definitely the way to go. However, I do have to mention that many of the hotel's facilities are quite old. The showerhead was leaking, and I hope they'll replace it soon.

The room is clean and spacious, with well-equipped kitchen utensils and excellent amenities. The sea view is breathtaking, and the location is very strategic—within walking distance to the market. Overall, it was a superb experience!
I recently stayed at Sutera@Mantanani for a-night, and it was magnificent an unforgettable island experience. The room was spacious enough for both of us!
WE ARE SO HAPPY that they provides everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The rooms are well-equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, tea and coffee making facilities, and safety deposit boxes. There’s no need to worry about bringing toiletries or coping with the island heat, as all essentials are thoughtfully provided, making it easy to unwind and fully enjoy the island experience.
We spent the morning watching the sunrise and the tide coming in with the clean ocean and beautiful Mount Kinabalu.Other than that they also have kayak rentals, and there is many activities we have done such as sunset walk, ATV, volley ball with other guest, and a romantic night with a bon fire and skies full of stars.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially during the boat transfer from Rampayan Jetty, they helped us load our luggage, AND they also very helpful in explaining the trip itinerary, ensuring guests could manage their time well and make the most of their stay, while also clearly informing us of rules and safety guidelines to ensure everyone’s well-being.
Meals were served buffet-style in the resort’s open-air dining area, with fresh local seafood, grilled fish, nasi lemak, and tropical fruits, breakfast included eggs, toast, and local pastries. We appreciated that the chef accommodated a vegetarian request without issue.
Overall, Sutera@Mantanani is a perfect island retreat, and I would came back here and highly recommend it to couples, families, or anyone seeking a quiet, nature-filled getaway.
Stayed at Borneo Beach Villa Karambunai and it was such a chill getaway. The sea view memang nice and the whole place felt super private — perfect to just relax and clear your head. Villa was spacious, nothing fancy but comfortable, and the kids had the best time at the private pool and beach. Overall, a fun and easy place for a laid-back family trip by the beach 🌊
