The lobby is impressive, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. The hotel's location is excellent. From the hotel, you can cross the road to Heroes Square (outdoor), walk diagonally across the square, and on your right, you'll see the Sultan's Palace. Slightly to the left is the Santiago Ancient City Gate. After passing through the gate, you can climb the stairs to the St. Paul's Church ruins and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then, take the ramp down, passing the Cheng Ho Cultural Museum, to reach the Dutch Square (Red Square), Victoria Fountain, and Christ Church. Dutch Square is situated by the Malacca River, and crossing the busiest bridge leads you to Jonker Street. It's safe to say the hotel is the newest building closest to the old town. However, the service seems to be lacking. The front desk staff are not very efficient; you often see long lines of customers, and when asked for information about the hotel, they only provide one-word answers, appearing unprofessional. There's only one trash can in the guest room, so you have to move it between the room and the bathroom. The bed also slants forward, and when I complained to housekeeping, nothing was done – they completely ignored it, so I had to improvise. Honestly, considering the hotel's facilities and location, the five-star price isn't bad, but factoring in the service, the value for money is just average.

Bayview Hotel Melaka offers a pleasant and comfortable stay that covers all the essentials for a simple getaway. The room was clean and well-kept, providing a nice space to rest after a day of sightseeing. While the facilities are not particularly luxurious, everything functioned as expected and met the basic needs of a short stay.
The staff were the highlight of the experience. They were friendly, polite, and always willing to help whenever I needed assistance. Their warm attitude made the overall stay feel more welcoming.
The location is convenient, with easy access to Melaka’s main attractions such as Jonker Street and the river area. It’s suitable for guests looking for a fuss-free hotel that’s reasonably priced and comfortable enough for a couple of nights.
Overall, Bayview Hotel Melaka is an average but reliable option—clean rooms, helpful staff, and a good base for exploring the city.
The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of many attractions. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good and wide selection, with something for everyone's taste.

This hotel is right in Jonker Street, within a 15-minute walk of major attractions like the Stadthuys, Malacca River, and A Famosa. What's even better is that the hotel itself is a sight to behold! It's a renovated century-old mansion showcasing Nanyang charm, with Peranakan culture woven into every detail. From the carved mahogany front desk and vintage brass keys to the antique porcelain in the hallways, even the carved windows in the central courtyard create an incredible atmosphere. Waking up to the sunlight filtering through the ornate windows in the morning, and listening to cicadas chirp in the courtyard in the evening, instantly transports you into a 'Little Nyonya' like immersive experience. Every photo you take here looks like a vintage Nanyang masterpiece – staying here feels like you've saved on museum tickets!

The hotel overall is great, me and my family had good experience there. The rooms are spacious and nice; however, I do expect a larger space for family suite, but the balcony is large.
Complementary parking was given, the car park was a bit doggie to be frank.
One of the greatest highlights for us is the kids playground and kids club. It was huge and nice, my kid has awesome time there. Swimming pool is rather small for the size of the hotel though.
As for the hotel breakfast buffet, well, it was not to our preference. Too much of western, and the taste was far from delicious. Would suggest to add a bit more local delights eg Malay kuih.
Overall a good experience.

My favorite hotel in Malacca! The design has an old-money feel, very artistic. The breakfast is special, with local Indian pancakes that taste great. The bathroom in the room has a bathtub, and my window overlooks a river. The parking lot behind the hotel is also very spacious. It offers great value for money. The front desk staff are very polite. They even offered a welcome drink and flower cookies that reminded me of my childhood. It truly brought me back to my younger days. I love this hotel so much and will definitely stay here again!

The room is quite clean. The bathroom is a bit small, but it is very clean and has a light lemon scent. The only problem is that the soundproofing is not very good. Everything else is good.
The room was a bit old-fashioned. The window was small and the bathroom sink was tiny, though the shower was decent. Breakfast was just okay and required walking to a separate building. It was also very crowded, with many tour groups. There's no sidewalk directly outside the hotel, so you need to be careful when walking out. It's not close to the main attractions, so if you're not big on walking, you might want to think twice before booking.

The hotel's location is quite good, with two malls nearby offering plenty of restaurants and a supermarket for souvenirs. It's conveniently located between Jonker Street and the Straits Mosque, about a ten-minute taxi ride to both. The room looked a bit dated, but the amenities were quite comprehensive. The family room had a bunk bed, which the kids loved. It was advertised as a 2.3m king-size bed, but it felt more like an 1.8m. When booking, it stated two breakfasts were included, and even though we had 2 adults and 3 children, we weren't charged extra for breakfast, which we really appreciated. The breakfast offered both Western and Chinese options, and the taste was good; our favorite was definitely the noodle soup shown in the pictures.

It's a good location just that aircon and noise is very hard to sleep.
Hoping they implement on their TV amenities as well.
It's really a good place to stay.

JJiheizhudiMy mother and I took a bus directly from Yishun, Singapore to this hotel, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel is located near Airport Street, within walking distance to all the attractions. They refilled snacks and drinks every day. In the evenings, they even lit candles and essential oil diffusers in the room and on the balcony. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the quiet, cozy environment made for a great night's sleep. The rooftop pool has an amazing view (though I'd suggest replacing the two ice bowls with two drinks, and using disposable hand towels for better hygiene). Overall, a really excellent experience.
