I love this short one night stay with my daughter and the receptionist is very humble and friendly. I love this night safari especially the hot spring. If u ask me would I come back to stay? Definitely I will.
The hotel arranged for us to stay in a corner room which has weak WiFi access. I didn't have WiFi for the entire three nights stay. Furthermore, the bed was rather hard and the room was rather small. However, the hotel provides excellent breakfast and is located at a very strategic location. The hotel is very close to the Ipoh parade and within 10 mins drive to famous tourist spots like concubine lane. Overall, the experience was just alright.
Loved the Bali vibes throughout the place, very chill and relaxing. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was good, staff were helpful and welcoming. A nice spot for a short getaway in Ipoh.
A beautiful and peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.
The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat offers breathtaking scenery, privacy, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The villa was elegant and comfortable, and the hot spring facilities were exceptional. What made the stay even better was the staff — warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A perfect place to unwind and disconnect. Highly recommended.
A new hotel, however, there is no dedicated indoor parking. Very limited dedicated outdoor parking lots in front of the building. You have to park freely around the building. There are 2 government buildings on the left and right of the hotel. So you can imagine how difficult it is to find a free parking space.
The place is near to the port. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast option very less. The room is very spacious like suite but the cleanliness need to improve. The pool is big and clean.
Title: A Slice of Paradise in Ipoh! The Private Onsen is a Game Changer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I can honestly say this was one of the best stays I have ever had in Ipoh. If you are looking for relaxation, luxury, and convenience, the IWH Sunway Onsen Apartment is the place to be.
Here is why I can’t stop raving about it:
• The Private Onsen: This is the absolute highlight. Having a private hot spring tub right on the balcony is an experience you usually pay premium hotel prices for. Soaking in the natural geothermal water while looking out at the majestic limestone hills was incredibly rejuvenating. It is the perfect way to unwind.
• The View: Waking up to the view of the greenery and the misty hills is breathtaking. It feels like a retreat far away from the city, yet it is so accessible.
• The Apartment: The unit managed by IWH was spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated. The beds were hotel-quality comfortable (I slept like a baby!), and the amenities provided—from high-speed WiFi to the kitchenette—made it feel like a luxurious home away from home.
• Location: You are practically right next door to the Sunway Lost World of Tambun. It’s incredibly convenient if you are visiting the theme park. Plus, there are plenty of food options and a grocery store nearby.
• The Service: The IWH team was fantastic. Check-in was seamless, the instructions were clear, and they were very responsive to any questions I had.
I would highly recommend this to couples looking for a romantic getaway or families wanting a fun, relaxing trip. I am already planning my next trip back!

We stayed here mid september and it was very quite on the resort. The staff and food is excellent, the accomodation is ok. We had the cheapest room and this does not have a door in front of the toilet. Just a curtain. The nature reserve is fantastic, very beautifull nature and much lessen crowded the Taman Negara.
1. Stayed for 2D1N with my parents and kids.
2. The resort is located quite far from the nearest town. It takes about 40 minutes to drive to Sitiawan, so it can be inconvenient if you plan to go out for lunch or dinner. The road leading to the resort is also quite dark at night.
3. The breakfast spread looks quite extensive, but in terms of food quality, I feel it could be improved. Compared with Shangri-La, which often serve items like beef, satay, salmon, and more premium selections, the breakfast here was more basic, with standard options like nasi lemak, roti canai, and typical local breakfast items.
4. For the kids’ pool area, the water flow from the large tipping bucket is quite strong. My kids seemed a little scared to play directly under it, so it might be good if the water pressure could be moderated.
5. There are also quite a number of house rules around the resort, while order is good, the delivery feels a bit ”school-like” rather than a relaxed holiday environment.
6. The cleanliness of the resort is excellent. The staff are friendly, polite, and very helpful, which made us feel very welcome. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with the necessary amenities, making it comfortable for families.
7. Overall, it is still a worthwhile place to stay, especially if you are looking for a quiet resort getaway.
Location ideal for walks to the lake gardens & cafes / hawker centres nearby.
Unit floor was dusty. Some water spots & signs of water leak from the bedrooms - mouldy in those areas. Air conditioning in one room was not cold.
All safe boxes were not working. Balcony door could not lock properly. No water boiler in the room. Some parts of the stairs had a lot of bird droppings.

GGuest UserWe had a nice stay at this resort. The room was exceptional and the whole resort was well laid out, clean and easily walkable. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
The food was the only thing that let it down, to be honest. It was delicious and there was a good selection but it was actually overpriced for what it was. I understand this is a private island resort but considering the quality and cost of food we had had throughout Malaysia, it was quite underwhelming for the price.
