Mina was fluent and detailed in her explanations of the summer palace. I was lucky as the only tour participant, She suggested meeting earlier in order to avoid the weekend crowds which proved to be a good idea. She also gave good historical context on how the palace and grounds were constructed and used and offered additional tips for exploring the grounds after our tour ended.

The Summer Palace was the perfect end to our visit to Beijing. It was so beautiful and relaxing. Our guide was excellent - he was extremely knowledgeable and made it so interesting by adding little bits of information everywhere. Although the tour was scheduled to last one and a half hours we went over the time. We were encouraged to engage with the tour guide and had an amazing time!!! When the tour ended we took a boat accross the lake which added to the already great experience. Would highly recommend recommend.

We were very lucky today that even though it was raining heavily, there were only two of us with our tour guide Risa. She did an excellent job explaining the history of the mansion as well as the (in)famous owners throughout the different times. We left wanting to learn more! This attraction is mostly known to Chinese visitors rather than the international crowds but if you have a few hours spare in Beijing, I highly recommend it.

With a mix of trepidation and excitement, I booked this day trip to the Temple of Heaven and Prince Gong's Mansion. Unexpectedly, I was pleasantly surprised to find two instructors: Mr. Liu, a renowned expert in history, who gave a lecture at the Temple of Heaven in the morning, and Ms. Xiaoman, who explained things in detail in the afternoon. Their extensive knowledge of history and culture greatly enhanced my family's and my understanding of history. Highly recommended!
