Reviews: Beijing | Yuxiandou·huangjiacai Museum - immersive noble court dining show - Hanfu performance

An incredibly cool place! Everything was top-notch. I went with a friend. We arrived, were greeted with a special welcome, and given tickets. It turned out we were seated in different seats. We asked to be seated next to each other—they initially refused, but then changed their mind and resolved the issue. Afterward, they dressed us and did our makeup in about 20 minutes. The girl did everything quickly and efficiently, taking into account our makeup preferences. Anything we didn't like was corrected. Before dinner, there was a performance in the foyer: theater and dancing. In the restaurant itself, they seated us, explained the menu, and asked if we had any allergies or anything like that. Overall, the service was good. We were seated in the fourth row and had a good view, although the presentation of the food was different from that of the guests in the front row, which is why we paid less. I don't like the taste of Chinese food, but surprisingly, I ate everything except two dishes. The food was delicious. Professional performance: dancing, singing, storytelling, opera, circus.

This is probably the most magical part of my whole entire trip something about it was just so surreal watching the performances eating. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I would definitely go again. This was probably my favorite tour that I did in Beijing China. It was so good. I almost cried.

Reviews: [PALACE · indulge in joy] Beijing PALACE Qianmen street store [immersive ancient imperial dining show]

It was a magical experience with a nice live performance and very delicious food. It might be one of the best food we ate in our life. The live performance was pretty and even though we didn't understand chinese, it was really nice to watch and enjoy the food at the same time.

Reviews: Royal Cuisine - Imperial Banquet

We booked a table in the front row. In the front row, the actors themselves serve the food, while in the other rows, there are waiters dressed in period costumes. The show itself was wonderful: the acting, dancing, and costumes were beyond praise. The food was very interesting and delicious. If you have the chance, go, you won't regret it.

Reviews: Beijing Yuxiandou·huangjiacai Museum experience (luxury indulgence + feast + optional ancient costume experience)
Guest User2026-05-06
I had a fantastic experience at the Beijing Imperial Cuisine Museum. The show and meal were truly impressive, showcasing exquisite attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond by accommodating my allergies with thoughtful dish substitutions. Additionally, the museum featured a large and fascinating exhibition that added great cultural context to the visit. Highly recommended for anyone interested in authentic Chinese cuisine and history!
