The driver took us to a less crowded gate for a comfortable approach to the Great Wall of China. Be prepared for a steep climb; without preparation, your legs will ache for several days. Lunch includes plenty of local food and Peking duck.★

I had a fantastic day exploring some of Beijing’s most iconic historical sites on a private guided tour led by the wonderful Lily. This full-day itinerary covering the Juyongguan Pass section of the Great Wall, the Sacred Way, and the Dingling Tomb (Ming Tombs) was perfectly paced, deeply informative, and truly memorable—especially on a crisp winter day with fewer crowds.
Lily picked me up promptly from our hotel in a comfortable, clean private vehicle with a skilled driver, making the journey out of the city smooth and relaxing. She shared historical context and little-known facts that brought each site to life. Lily was attentive, flexible, and genuinely caring. She tailored the day to our interests and energy levels, avoiding any rushed feeling. This private tour was worth every penny for the personalized experience and avoiding the hassles of public transport or large groups.★
