I would really recommend this tour - it’s a VERY long day but well worth it. We met at 7.10am and was dropped off at about 6.30 pm. Aria was a fantastic host - very organised and knowledgeable with great English. It’s a couple hours drive to the wall and Aria explained our options whilst on route. We opted to go up both the east and west part of the wall. The east has the chair lift up and the toboggan down - this is extra payment. The west part has a gondola ride up and down - again this is extra cost. We also opted for the discounted buffet lunch - this was 80 yuan. There are lots of food options here. At the wall, you organise your own time and meet up with the rest of the group at a specific time. We then got back on the bus at 1.30pm to go to the summer palace which isn’t a palace but a beautiful lake and garden. Again we paid extra for the boat ride. This time we stayed together as a group and Aria told us the history. An excellent day with a super guide, Aria. Thank you

If you decide to go without a tour, you should definitely do two things: be prepared for a long line and study information about the place in advance to understand the full scale 🤲 So take a tour to avoid all this 😅 And, of course, visiting Beijing and not visiting the Forbidden City is strange 😑

Our tour guide Liu Liu for the Summer Palace was so lovely. Liu Liu was very Knowledgeable and made the history behind summer palace very fun and interesting to listen to. We felt very well taken care of and the pace of the tour was perfect for us.

We had a fantastic day exploring Beijing with Seren from Leo’s Private Tours. We visited the Forbidden City and Summer Palace, and although we were also meant to visit Tiananmen Square, it was unfortunately closed due to a major ceremony taking place that day. Seren was an excellent guide from start to finish. Her English was very good, she was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of Beijing, and she did a wonderful job bringing the sites we visited to life. She was also incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive throughout the day. A special mention has to go to Seren’s photography skills — she took some absolutely amazing photos of us, capturing some fantastic memories that we’ll have from our trip to Beijing. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Seren and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a private guide in Beijing. She made the experience easy, enjoyable and memorable.
