Notice for travelers:

Chinese mainland citizens can only purchase tickets using their ID card and must present it for entry. Residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan can only use the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, or Residence Permit for Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Residents. Passports cannot be used for booking! Other nationalities can make reservations using a passport or PRC Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card.

• Visitors from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan must book 7 days in advance using their ID.

• The child package for this product is applicable to Chinese citizens under 18 years old (including residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). Foreign children are not eligible for the Palace Museum's preferential policies. If your child holds a foreign passport, please book as an adult. If booked as a child, a price difference of CNY 20 per person for the admission ticket will be charged after the ticket is successfully issued. Please be aware!

Admission ticket check-in time slot for the Palace Museum

• From November 1, 2023, the Palace Museum implements time-slot visits. Please arrange your time in advance.
• The time for the morning session audience is 12:00 on the same day;
• The earliest ticket inspection time for the afternoon session is 11:00 AM on the same day;
• Last admission time during off-peak season (11.1-3.31): 15:30;
• Last admission time during peak season (4.1-10.31): 16:00.

Cancellation processing schedule notice

• From April to October and during all holidays, bookings with refund requests submitted between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM will be processed after 11:00 PM, with cancellations and refunds completed within 24 hrs. At other times, cancellations and refunds will be processed within 1 hr. Please consider carefully before booking if this is a concern!!
