I went on the experience alone, but there were many other people there alone, so I was able to enjoy myself without feeling self-conscious! However, I don't think they speak Japanese, so you will need some English skills! As for the diving itself, there is a thorough explanation and a simple introduction (practicing breathing with your face in the water) before you start diving, so I think it's fine even for beginners. There is one instructor for each person, so you can feel safe. The weather was great that day, the water was clear, and I was able to take pictures with sea turtles, which made me very happy! It was such a great experience that it made me want to get my diving license, so I recommend it!

Tourists should note: In Xiaoliuqiu, you generally need to rent an electric scooter for transportation! A taxi costs NT$200 per trip, but it's not always possible to hail one. Having not done my research beforehand, I arrived on the island without my own means of transportation (foreigners need an international driving license to rent an electric scooter). I had booked snorkeling at this place the day before, but when I contacted them on the day, they said they didn't offer free pick-up and drop-off service. But it was hot, and walking for ten minutes would be tiring. In the end, I had to give up on that snorkeling trip and booked a snorkeling activity with a guesthouse-related business because they offered free pick-up and drop-off service!

We booked a tour, and our guide, Summer, contacted us immediately, explained everything, and was in constant contact. On the appointed day, she picked us up from the hotel, organized the transfer, and accompanied us the entire way, providing instructions and information. We were the only Russians in the group among Chinese, but we were handed over from hand to hand, everything was explained, and the language barrier was no problem at all. At the snorkeling site, the guides met us, gave us instructions, provided life jackets and masks, swam with us, took photos and videos, kept an eye on us so we wouldn't get lost, and organized banana boat and jet ski rides. We stayed the whole day. Cookies and water were provided in the lobby, but you can bring your own snacks, and you can go ashore during the swim. Everything was extremely organized and safe! They provided sausages and fish food. We enjoyed the trip; it's perfect for those who enjoy light snorkeling and diving with children. On the way back, Summer was waiting for us in the parking lot and drove us to the hotel. We are very grateful to her for a wonderful vacation! We recommend her to everyone!

The diving was excellent, and the experience was positive. The booking listed "Russian" as the language, but in reality, communication on shore was through a translator and with the instructor using hand signals. It took longer than expected because of the queue to dive. Otherwise, everything was wonderful: the staff was attentive, and the instructor literally led you through the sea by the hand. We loved everything.

This experience was great! I never get good pictures of myself while diving but, this time, the photograph made sure I did. The staff is lovely and made sure I understood everything even if I don’t speak Chinese.
