Jiuzhou Old Town/Tianlong Fortified Village
Every time I travel, the accommodation environment is the most important for me. I like the homestay I booked this time. The overall decoration style is literary and artistic, warm and refined, and the proper card is stuck in my aesthetics. Every detail is perfect, giving people a comfortable, relaxing and natural feeling. It is no wonder that the boss and his wife are learning art when chatting. Parking in the small courtyard is very convenient and the garden is super beautiful. Sitting in the garden blowing a small wind, drinking a cup of latte, swinging a swing, not to mention more comfortable, it has not been enjoyed for a long time. The most memorable thing is the breakfast made by the boss, the green pepper meat mixed powder, with a fried egg, a pinch of onions, that is very delicious. I must focus on the boss, the enthusiasm is real, and I take the trouble to introduce us to the surrounding attractions and snacks. Overall, a very happy trip, next time you come to Anshun to play and live in your home.

The hotel is excellent. The location is as good as it can be. Its in the central parts of the city and very close to the train station. Furthermore, it is next door to the tourist bus station (where the buses to Fanjingshan and Fenghuang depart). Furthermore, the room was very nice and clean. Also the staff was very service minded.

I really liked this hotel! First of all, I was so grateful that, even though I arrived a little before noon, the hotel managers allowed me to check in early with no extra charge. And I found them helpful and efficient and friendly (always greeting me when I returned each day). The room itself was a pleasant change from what I'm used to. First of all, my room had no window. But I didn't even get bothered by that because the room itself has such a warm feeling. The floor is a dark wood that makes the whole room feel a sense of integrity. The decorations in the room also give a sense of old world elegance. For example, they put a 1940s style phone in the room (which is very clearly modern since it uses digital buttons instead of the rotary system) just to keep up with the entire theme of the hotel as a place stuck beautifully in time. The shower in the room was excellent; it even had a bench built into the wall that I suppose you could sit on. The shower had good pressure and a full supply of hot water. The room was a bit hot for me, but I suppose I could have called the front desk and they would have helped me adjust the settings; it wasn't too hot that I was uncomfortable. Actually, at that time of the year when Guizhou is so cold and damp, other hotels I had stayed at previously in Guizhou had the problem of being irreparably cold, so perhaps I should be grateful for this point. I like the fact that the hotel has breakfast. I intended to try the breakfast but I got food poisoning from some street food the night before and didn't feel like eating anything the entire next day, so unfortunately I didn't get to try it... but it really looked good! They also seem to have a late evening dinner option, but I didn't try that either (I should have!). The location is also excellent. I took a cab from this hotel to the history museum, Qianling Mountain Park, and the airport, and all were quick and cheap rides. Obviously a visit to Qingyan Ancient Town is going to be an expensive ride wherever you are coming from unless you're staying in Qingyan itself. Anyways, this hotel is also within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. Just go out the door and turn left and within a few blocks you'll be in a food area with professional restaurants and street food. I, regrettably, was determined to visit Guiyang's famous ErQi Food street, so I kept walking. From the hotel to ErQi food street, it took me about 45 minutes to walk. Not bad! As it turns out, something I ate there didn't agree with my digestive system, so I should have just eaten at the many great restaurants near the hotel. But the point I'm making is that the ErQi Food street ”on the other side of town” was only about 40 minutes by walking. I could also walk to Yan'an Lu and other such streets or to Jiaxiu Tower (I walked right by it... only about 20 minutes from the hotel by walking). That shows what a fantastic location this hotel offers!

Carlton Hotel Guiyang North Station

Guiyang North Railway Station
First: this place is not a Carlton Hotel chain hotel. It is a rip off name. Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower. As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside. as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight. Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information. How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess. In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place. Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night. There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift. I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.

It's very close to Guiyang North Railway Station, just a few minutes' taxi ride away. The location is very convenient. There are so many delicious food downstairs. The beef hot pot in sour soup is delicious. It is also close to Qianlingshan Park. I forgot my mobile phone to connect boiling water at the front desk, but the lady at the front desk picked it up for me. Thank you so much!

Wow! Where do I even begin…?! Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived until we left, we experienced friendliness from all the staff members. They were all always eager to help and most of them can speak a little English but the translator works wonders as well and they were all very patient with using it. We initially only booked for one night but once arriving at the hotel and seeing the premises and rooms, we knew we had to immediately book another night as it exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, the room we were in wasn’t available for the second night but the staff upgraded us to a better room for the second night with one of the most amazing views! Breakfast was served as a buffet, it’s not very big but it has everything you need and it was delicious! There is a tea experience daily after 6:30pm where you can sit around the fire and grill some nuts, potatoes, sweet potatoes and snack on fruits while sipping on some iced white tea. On the 4th floor of the main building there is also a tea room where you can make your own tea and sip on it while enjoying the magnificent views from the viewing deck. On our second day, Jiao Jiao, the manager of the hotel, took us to the Baling River museum of bridges as well as to the viewing point of Dishuitan Waterfall. She was so helpful, friendly & kind. This hotel will forever be special to us as we got engaged here on our first night so we will definitely be back for many more visits in the future. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. If you find yourself looking for a place to relax and unwind, look no further! Book this hotel, you won’t regret it! Special thank you to all the staff that helped us during our stay - 小陶、小万和小绒 - you were all so attentive and went above and beyond. All I can say is thank you!! See you again soon!

The ceiling of hotel service! The hotel is like a French romantic art palace hidden in the world. Walking slowly along the path lined with flowers, the doorman came over with a smile to help us take the luggage and guided us all the way, which made people feel warm. The mysterious and elegant door is like a mechanism in a martial arts novel. It automatically opens when it senses people, instantly introducing us into the romantic atmosphere of France. The towering arched porch in the lobby on the first floor is magnificent. The lazy and pleasant French music echoes in the air, as if people are in the romantic streets of Paris. The front desk and lobby bar are located on the 20th floor, and the service staff are friendly and polite. Joel kindly handed over the prepared drinks and hand towels. His meticulous service is commendable. During the registration process, we noticed that there were many award-winning medals and trophies of the hotel on display behind the lobby, which is undoubtedly a proof of the hotel's excellent quality. The afternoon tea in the lobby bar is a feast for the eyes and taste. The snacks are not only delicious, but also artistic, with imported exquisite plates, such as LV plates, which are very exquisite. When I asked for the taste of the brewed coffee, the service girl quickly remade it for me. Her enthusiasm and patience made people have a good experience. When we didn't know how to get to the room elevator, she personally led us to the elevator entrance. The room is on the 23rd floor. The corridor is filled with charming aromas. The dim lights complement the cute and artistic works, creating a great atmosphere. The room is clean and tidy. The refrigerator is full of imported drinks and milk, which are free to refill. There are fresh fruits on the table every day. Diptyque's toiletries, Dyson hair dryers, facial masks, etc. are provided free of charge. The room has a large round bathtub, where children take a bath every night, humming little songs, and spend a happy night. The cleaning aunt seems to be called Demi. If I remember correctly, the service is very good and she always asks me what I need. The night bed service is very considerate. The small cakes and mint tea make people feel the warmth of home after a tiring day, especially the mint tea, which is delicious! The breakfast is rich and varied, with local specialties such as glutinous rice and sour soup rice noodles. The service staff is warm and thoughtful, and takes the initiative to introduce the dishes, making our dining experience more perfect. The room we booked also comes with drinks and snacks from the bar on the 25th floor. When I said I didn't like potato chips, the service staff immediately replaced them with nuts for me. This thoughtful service makes people feel comfortable. I ordered a glass of wine hidden in the book, which is very fun, and it is unique to check in and take photos. The gym is fully equipped, and fresh fruits and mineral water are available for self-service, which provides great convenience for fitness guests. My butler Seven left a deep impression on me. He communicated with me before check-in to understand my needs; during the stay, he kept in touch and asked if I needed help. The night before leaving the hotel, I casually mentioned that the mint tea was delicious, and he was ready for me to take it away the next day. This thoughtfulness is really precious. On the day of departure, the seven-seater Mercedes-Benz car arranged by the hotel was brand new and comfortable. The driver was very considerate. He asked me if the air-conditioning temperature was suitable when I got in the car, gave us water to drink when we were thirsty, helped with the luggage, and said goodbye politely, which made me feel like spring breeze. From the first day of stay to the last day of the pick-up, it was perfect. Every staff member of this hotel showed a strong sense of service. Their sincerity and enthusiasm made us spend a comfortable, pleasant and unforgettable time. Highly recommended to everyone who pursues quality and service experience!

I booked a room without really thinking about the room itself. All I knew was ”round bed”. What can I say? It was great! The bed was not only round, but also huge and the room was more like a small apartment with a kitchenette, large sofa corner and chic bathroom. The location (right next to a subway station on line 2) was also perfect for getting to the different parts of Guiyang quickly. With its own small ”supermarket” for quick shopping right in the building and a mall right in the neighborhood, there is nothing missing here. So I have nothing to complain about and would recommend it wholeheartedly 😊.

We had an incredible stay here. The views from the rooms are incredible and look out to the karst mountains and rice fields below. The rooms were clean, the showers strong and the sheets and bed were comfortable. The check in was simple and easy. Breakfast was a big bowl of fresh noodles. The food was delicious, fresh and very flavourful! The staff were so kind, friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The owner went out of his way to help us have the best time during our stay so we could see as much as possible in the park! It’s located right inside the Libo Maolan National Nature Reserve. Navigating your way there is easy and there is plenty of free parking out front. At night the only sound are the frogs and crickets and it’s so quiet. We saw an incredible darkened sky lit up with stars, the most I’ve seen anywhere in China, you could even see the milky way! We went on a glorious 7 hour hike and the father was our guide. He was by far the best nature park guide I’ve ever had in my life! He knew so much about the history of the park and all the names and traditional uses of the plants. Was very friendly too! Five hole bridge is only a 10 minute walk from here where you can go for a refreshing and much needed dip after a wonderful day exploring. The owner also drive us to the starting point of Qinglong Waterfalls and it’s wonderful- you can easily walk this riverside straight back to the hotel! Would really recommend this place for families, couples or friends travelling as it’s just wonderful! Can’t wait to come back and stay again!
