I booked a corner room and was quite disappointed when I saw it in person. One window faced another building very closely, making it impossible to open the curtains. A third of the other window was blocked by a large pillar, resulting in a worse view than a standard room. Moreover, the room layout felt impractical; some areas were unusable, and the actual feeling didn't match the stated size. Because of this, I discussed changing rooms with Trip.com customer service and the hotel front desk the next morning. Although we ended up switching to a slightly cheaper and smaller room, it didn't have the uncomfortable feeling of the corner room, so I felt much better. During this process, Ms. Jiudao from the hotel was very sincere and patiently explained things, working hard with us to find a solution. More importantly, Trip.com customer service showed exceptional professionalism, thoroughly considering our needs, responding quickly, and communicating effectively. We were especially touched by how they handled some issues after we checked out and returned home.

Fantastic location! It's only a 2-minute walk to the subway station. Within a 5-minute stroll, you'll find a large shopping mall, a big supermarket, Guzi Market, and an area bustling with restaurants. There are at least three karaoke bars nearby, and a Lawson convenience store is right outside the door. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

The hotel is a bit old, but I was really drawn to it because of the balcony. The location is great, directly connected to Queen's Square, so dining and entertainment are very convenient. The Ferris wheel is right opposite the hotel, and the instant noodle museum is within walking distance.

We got an upgraded room, a 30-square-meter one, with the option to shower in the room or at the hot springs. The public hot spring baths are divided into indoor and outdoor sections. The buffet was just okay. Check-in starts at 3 PM, so if you arrive early, you just get a number and wait. Many Japanese families with children were there, so it seems to be a family-friendly hotel. There's a shuttle bus, which should be convenient. We drove, and the parking lot is quite spacious.

Hotel location supposed to be good as it is adjacent to Yokohama Station. However, there is no direct connection between the hotel and the underground mall, I have to lift 3 heavy luggages from train station level (B2) up the stairs in the Joinus underground mall south exit 12. That alone have killed me. I think the hotel avoid telling customers about this great disadvantage. Even after entering the hotel, the front reception is another tens of stairs down to 1F like a split level building, which was extremely inconvenient! The hotel is like travelling back in time to the 70's, almost antique in today's standard. Room key is not a card type but a physical metal key! Room was still spacious (mine was triple room) but having no modern amenities, not enough power outlet for phone charging and/or computer. No storage or drawers, bathroom was extremely small and crowded. My booking included buffet breakfast, which was a surprise, food selection was good, but there were not many customers, one morning my family virtually was thw only table in the entire grand dining room! I can say I have mixed feeling about this hotel, if you have many luggages and arrived by train, think twice as you have to lift your luggages up 34 stairs from B2 to ground level.

Opened just a year ago after a complete renovation, this is a very modern hotel. Since all the ground-floor, ocean-facing spaces are restaurants, the hotel lobby is uniquely located on the 12th floor. This scenic lobby also doubles as a café, where guests can sit on the outdoor balcony overlooking the view. There's a designated smoking area by the side entrance of the lobby. The facilities are brand new, and the layout is clean, spacious, and stylish. We stayed in a triple room, and even with suitcases open, there was still plenty of space – perfectly suited to Chinese guests' preferences. The bedding is high quality and available for purchase. Let's talk about breakfast. Upon check-in, guests are informed of two options: Japanese breakfast, served at the 12th-floor café, and Western breakfast, served at the 1st-floor Western restaurant. The Japanese option offers three set menus, while the Western option features four main sets. After ordering, you can help yourself to the buffet bar for salads, drinks, bread, and more. The Western breakfast was so delicious that we didn't get a chance to try the Japanese one. Regarding the hotel's location, opinions may vary. Most people might choose to stay in Sakuragicho or Minato Mirai, as this hotel is a bit off the beaten path, situated near Yamashita Park. The Summer Festival is held here, allowing visitors to truly experience the atmosphere of traditional Japanese festivals. The hotel faces the sea, directly opposite the Hikawa Maru ocean liner. As the only surviving international ocean liner from WWII, it's definitely worth boarding and exploring. It's a 5-minute walk from the hotel to the subway station, providing easy access to all Yokohama stops. Directly across the street is a bus stop with direct service to Haneda Airport, with buses running almost every hour. Within a 5-minute walk, you'll find Takashimaya department store; Chinatown is 10 minutes away, as is a massive Don Quijote store. A lifestyle plaza is a 20-minute walk, and there's also a Montbell outlet store where we spent four hours. This outlet store offers tax-free shopping, but it requires downloading a third-party app and incurs a 3% service fee, which makes the process a bit inconvenient. Yokohama truly lives up to its reputation as an international port city. Around the hotel, you'll find a wide array of Western restaurants, with impeccable ambiance and cuisine, and even handsome waiters. It's a very cosmopolitan city.

The navigation from Yokohama Station to the hotel was a bit绕, but taking the overhead walkway was very convenient. The room was a decent size. Downstairs is the Anpanman Children's Museum, and since it was a holiday, there were a lot of Japanese kids playing there. The only downside was that the room had no view, just several construction sites. The breakfast was pretty good for the price I paid. If this were a hotel in Tokyo for the same price, the quality would be much worse. I've been to Japan many times and think Yokohama is a great place to visit.

First off, the room was incredibly clean! Housekeeping did a thorough job every day. The front desk staff were warm and patient, and the facilities were very new and well-maintained. Secondly, the hotel's location is excellent! It's just a few minutes' walk from Yamashita Park and Chinatown, and the Hikawa Maru is also nearby. Yokohama Station and the Red Brick Warehouse are also very close. Shopping nearby is super convenient! There's a 7-Eleven and a Lawson right downstairs. If you walk towards Chinatown a bit, there's a supermarket. It's also close to Yokohama Station's commercial center, making shopping very easy.

Staying at the Kawasaki Nikko Hotel was a fantastic experience. The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. The room was a bit small, but the bedding was comfortable. The hotel staff were warm and attentive; whether it was checking in at the front desk or room service, their professionalism and thoughtfulness really stood out. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend it.

There's a shuttle service to and from Kawasaki Station, so make sure to check the timetable. Picture one shows the pick-up spot, which is very close to the Nikko Hotel. They also offer a shuttle to Haneda Airport, which is super convenient. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, but the surroundings are lovely, with a small river. The airport is right across the river. It's about a 2km walk to Terminal 3. There are two Western restaurants on the first floor and another on the fifth floor. You can also find a convenience store and a post office nearby. The service was good, though I didn't interact much with the staff. The room was clean, tidy, and a good size. I'm very satisfied.

11346676****Hakone Kowakien Ten-yu Hotel was an amazing experience! The hotel boasts multiple natural hot springs with a rich variety of baths and breathtaking scenery; soaking in them left me feeling completely refreshed. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with stylish Japanese decor that ensures privacy. The dinner buffet was exquisite, featuring fresh and delicious ingredients. The staff were warm and attentive, always greeting guests with a smile. Its convenient location also offers easy access to transportation. Both the facilities and service truly reflect the high quality of Japanese onsen hotels. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserOverall an ok stay. A bit hard to find, very limited English spoken by the staff which led to some confusion (even for the representatives who were assigned to us by English speakers). Felt quite formal and not that warm Room was more or less as expected, and the dinner and breakfast meals were quite elaborate. Felt that breakfast was actually the stronger meal of the two, so wasn’t necessarily worth it to pay extra for dinner. I’d likely skip doing dinner in the future. The room attendant who helped us was very kind and attentive, although we had a bit of language barrier given we don’t speak Japanese. The big disappointment was even though the ryokan is advertised as allowing guests to book one of the larger hot springs on the property for private use for 45 minutes, we weren’t able to do this. We arrived within the designated check in time and were told that it was all booked up for the day. There was no way to book in advance and we were only staying for one night, and they didn’t try to accommodate allowing us to book at all for the next day before checkout. This really hampered the experience overall - we weren’t that interested in using the gender segregated facility (was traveling with my partner who is the opposite gender) as we wouldn’t be able to spend time together, and the tub in our room was quite small. They should amend this policy to allow all guests to book a private hot spring time or not advertise it as part of the room! Feels like we got cheated out of the service and we weren’t offered anything else as an alternative. I would have booked another ryokan had I known this were the case - there are many others in Hakone which are much better value and have nicer / newer private facilities for around the same price. I wouldn’t recommend Yama no Chaya given this was a big part of what we thought would make it a good experience

AANASTASIIA_BERDNIKOVAThis hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room. It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes). It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. The hotel has a relax room. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere. We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute. Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!

MM253742****I booked a lake-view room, but at first, the front desk gave me a garden-view room with only a tiny glimpse of the lake on the left. After some discussion, they finally switched my room. Later, after my bath, I noticed that several rooms with better views were just getting occupied, so it really shows you have to advocate for yourself. After the room change, the scenery was fantastic, directly facing Mount Fuji, absolutely stunning. The breakfast selection was also rich. The only downside is that transportation is a bit inconvenient; there aren't many shuttle buses, and public transport services are limited.

AAnonymous UserNice ryokan with modern hotel vibes. Very good that they provided a free shuttle from the hotel to Hakone yumoto station. Note that the shuttle from the station to hotel is only from 2-6pm and the shuttle from hotel to station is only in the morning. But fits the usual check in and check out time. The room was spacious and great. Service was good and kaiseki meals were very delicious. There was also a public onsen which wasn’t crowded especially at night. The rooftop view is nice too

AAnonymous UserComing from Tokyo, getting to this hotel from Shin-Yokohama Station is super easy. Don't go out the North Exit; just turn right and walk straight ahead for about 5 minutes until you reach the PRINCESS PEPE shopping mall. Follow the signs from there, and you'll be right at the hotel entrance. They offer free luggage storage, which is a great perk. The front desk staff's English was very good, and the service overall was excellent. Parking is available for 1000 JPY per night. The room size was comfortable, though there was no complimentary bottled water. However, there's a 7-Eleven right next to the elevator, which is convenient. The breakfast spread was extensive and available until 10 AM. Check-in at 3 PM and check-out at 11 AM felt very accommodating, especially after all the walking we did daily. The adjacent shopping mall is quite local, featuring stores like Albion (where you can buy their 'E-Powder' – though it's one per person), Muji, and Seijo Ishii supermarket. It was really fun to browse around. We also had a great meal at a teppanyaki restaurant there; it was delicious, albeit a bit pricey. Overall, it was a very good experience.

KKunmingzi🏔️✨【Hakone Indigo Hotel: A Dreamlike Mountain Retreat】 This was my first stay at Hakone Gōra Indigo, and I was truly rejuvenated by the ambiance. The hotel is nestled in a hot spring resort surrounded by mountains; opening the window reveals layers of greenery and distant clouds and mist, as beautiful as a painting. The room design is modern yet elegantly Japanese, and the open-air onsen was fantastic. The spring water was smooth and comforting, instantly washing away a day's fatigue. Breakfast was also incredibly impressive, using fresh local ingredients; you could feel the attention to detail even in the bread and juice. The staff were friendly and attentive, with every greeting feeling warm, making you feel right at home. The overall experience exceeded expectations, and it's worth revisiting, whether you're a couple, a family, or a solo traveler. 💛 The only thing worth mentioning is that the in-room onsen water seemed to be completely diluted; you could even call it a 'fake' onsen. It lacked the typical onsen smell and was essentially just hot water.

FFangLiangIt's a very convenient location, about a 20-minute walk from JR Kawasaki Station. I made a reservation with breakfast included, but they said they weren't serving breakfast at the moment. There's a convenience store in front of the hotel, so it's not a problem. Also, there is no one at the front desk between 9:00 and 13:00, so you cannot leave your luggage during this time.
