LLaomaidangI've stayed at this Hilton in Cambridge twice now, and both times it felt so welcoming. I booked the same river view room, and it was still just as comfortable and cozy. The front desk and restaurant were all the same, nothing changed. What did change was that this time I drove myself, and the parking was £26 a night – quite expensive! We walked to several Cambridge colleges and the shopping street, all within about ten to fifteen minutes. Cambridge feels much safer than London; you don't have to constantly guard your pockets or clutch your phone here. The breakfast was superb.

GGuest UserThis was the largest room I stayed in during my UK trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity College and King's College in Cambridge city center. The area around is very quiet, and there's a supermarket about 100 meters away, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. There are also fast-food burger places nearby. Transportation is very convenient; you can take bus route 1 from Cambridge train station and it drops you right at the hotel entrance. When I first checked in, I found the cleanliness a bit lacking, especially the long sofa. However, after exploring the Cambridge University area, I realized that the entire Cambridge seems to have this damp, slightly old-fashioned feel. The shower was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also super spacious.

JJingshizhizoudijiExcellent! The room was small but very clean and tidy, perfectly adequate. The breakfast was surprisingly the best I had on my entire UK trip. Compared to the Hilton, Hampton Inn, and DoubleTree I stayed at later, their English breakfast with hash browns, sausages, and baked beans was far superior. There's a Sainsbury's supermarket and fast-food places like Pret A Manger right downstairs, which is super convenient. It's a bit of a walk to Cambridge, about 20 minutes on foot. The front desk service was also great and very friendly.

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsThis was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back. The images you see are of the hotel reception area, room114, the view from the window, T and coffee and images of the walk from the hotel into the Fitzwilliam Museum, Newtons apple tree and Universities. SSah sah travelsStayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference.
The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over.
Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities.
Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city.

NNicS74Stayed 3 nights so that we could visit family and friends in the area. Booked a twin room which had adequate space for 2 of us and separate area with small table and chairs if needed. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm (once I was shown how to activate the heating) Unfortunately the bathroom was very cold as the hotel boiler needed repair so the radiator wasn’t working. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is quite dated and in need of an upgrade which is on the planning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I realised I’d left my own personal pillow on the bed. They tracked it down and a friend collected for me the next day. Definitely stay agin when next in the area.

AAichiladedongshichangThis hotel was a really satisfying stay for me. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from Cambridge city center, but the hotel amenities are excellent. I particularly liked the blue color scheme in the room. Plus, there are bus stops nearby with routes to the train station and various attractions. If you're looking for a comfortable stay, I highly recommend it. There's also a large supermarket conveniently located next door.

GGuest UserGreat downtown location, super convenient for getting around. Lots of universities nearby and plenty of Chinese restaurants within walking distance. They provide shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand soap, hand cream, and tissues. Toothpaste and toothbrushes aren't in the room, but you can ask for them at the front desk. The room is spacious and clean.
