Anonymous UserFantastic location right in the city center, just behind the Old Market. It's a quick 5-minute walk to the castle and the Robinson statue. There's a bus stop right downstairs, making it super easy to get to the train station. The room was clean and tidy, and the mattress was comfortable, not too soft or too firm. They even had a Nespresso machine with coffee pods! My only minor complaints are that the facilities are a bit dated and the room is on the smaller side. The breakfast was a good English continental spread with a nice variety, especially plenty of fresh fruit, and you could order freshly made eggs or omelets. Service was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were quick. They even offer free apples in the lobby, though the air freshener scent in the lobby felt a bit cheap. Overall, great value for money, much cheaper than London with bigger rooms, better facilities, and a superior breakfast.

I stayed at Clumber Park for three nights as a single business traveller.
The hotel has average amenities and is generally tidy, though the furniture and décor feel basic and dated. The bedroom carpet was heavily stained, although the room itself was clean and had everything I needed for my stay - it was essentially just a base for a few days.
I didn’t use the spa facilities, so I can’t comment on this aspect.
Food in the lounge was average.
I requested additional towels during my stay, but unfortunately they never arrived and there were only one set of pillow cases on the pillows on the bed.
On a positive note, the staff were polite and friendly, and the location is excellent with convenient parking.

Guest UserI would like to give a special thank you to the receptionist who helped us during our stay. I believe her name was Rania. She was very fast, professional, and handled everything with great efficiency.
There was a small issue in our room — the shower was leaking water — and she fixed it so quickly that I honestly thought she worked in the maintenance department 😂.also, I couldn’t open the window even though I tried, but she came and opened it within seconds 😂. She was truly amazing and had excellent problem-solving skills.
I really appreciate her kindness, quick response, and ability to deal with unexpected situations. I wish every workplace had someone with her level of efficiency and professionalism.
Thank you so much, Rania!
The hotel itself was very good, clean, and in a great location — close to the city centre and everything we needed. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

Guest UserMedium.
Even canceledl the second day booking the day before for urgency still couldn't get any refund. So the room will be perfectly available on the second day for anyone to take and the hotel still charged you full price.
Towel in bathroom has brown stain on it. No idea what was that.
Quite at night, breakfast is nice.

Guest UserWasn't impressed at all with the room I was given as it was designed for a physically disabled person which I'm not. There were a few issues with the bathroom.
I left the room earlier than anticipated due to feeling uncomfortable. I explained my stay at reception where I was told you will receive a email from management, I didn't receive anything.

The room booked a larger room, on the second floor, saw the church and street opposite. The furniture and curtains are a bit too old and I don't like it very much. The floor is also creaking. On the day of check-in, I also said that the elevator was broken and I didn't help with the luggage. Fortunately, I tried the elevator and finally got it up. Breakfast is not bad, buffet with drink bread, yogurt snacks, you can also order eggs and full English breakfast.

Guest UserIn general, my stay was fine. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, and I appreciated their friendly attitude.
However, there were a few issues that affected my experience. There were a number of young men staying on my floor who returned around 2am and made a significant amount of noise for quite some time. Unfortunately, no staff member came to address the disturbance, which made it difficult to sleep.
When I eventually began to fall back asleep, I was disturbed again by two pigeons making loud noises outside my window. In the morning, I noticed there were dead pigeons caught in the netting above my window. This was quite unpleasant to see and does not seem healthy or hygienic.
Additionally, at £125 per night, I would not expect to see worn carpets. The condition of the flooring did not reflect the price being charged.
Overall, while the staff were excellent, these issues did detract from an otherwise fine stay.

A lovely place. We we're a bit iffy on sraying due to the rating of the hotel but after reading the reviews most were about the rooms being dated. Since we were only planning to be there for a night, who cares?
There was an issue with the booking from Trip.com's side which the duty manager Declan was able to resolve in a timely mannor while also making the wait very pleasant with some nice chat.
The staff were lovely, including the two young ladys on the bar/food service as well as Declan. Unfortunately didnt get the girls names.
The building is stunning and surrounded by lovely woods, perfect for a walk.
Rooms are a bit dated, sure, but why are you looking to spend all your time in your room? More than enough to have a comfy sleep in.
Also as a side note on that, id imagine It's a listed building and so hard an expensive to update.
Overall a lovely night and a pleasant morning having breakfast then a walk. Absolutely would recommend.

Superb staff, great parking. Very clean. Lovely bed. Only issue was no bathroom fan and I don't like the overhead showers as I don't like my head & hair getting drenched unless I choose to.
