Facilities: Accommodation in Iceland is generally expensive, and this hostel is truly value for money. Despite being a hostel, its environment and facilities are on par with a high-end hotel, even providing Rituals toiletries.
Environment: The location is excellent. You can park on the roadside, and if you've booked a tour, drivers can pick you up directly from the hotel entrance, which is much more convenient than going to a bus stop. Of course, Bus Stop 6 is also very close, just a 2-3 minute walk away.
Service: The hotel lobby offers self-service with complimentary tea bags and coffee. You can store your own groceries in the shared fridge and heat them up, which is very convenient. You can also cook your own meals and even use a hot spring.

This hostel ranks among the worst I've experienced in Europe.
The 4th floor is supposed to have hairdryers. On my first day, I asked the front desk and they said one should be there but it had 'disappeared'. They had spares, but never restocked them, so I had to go down and borrow one every time. Once, they even lent me two broken ones in a row.
In the restrooms, I'd find one out of three stalls without toilet paper. The kitchen paper was replenished very slowly. The kitchen itself was a mess, greasy everywhere, and the sink was constantly full of leftover food dumped by guests. One night, someone had a party in the communal kitchen, smashed two glass cups, and didn't clean up, which was a nasty surprise the next morning.
There was also a private party downstairs that blocked off the path to the elevator, so I had to walk up two floors just to get there. The music from the party went on past midnight.
I don't know why, but the 6-bed female dorm seemed to attract 'characters'. On my first day, a white woman, upon realizing I was in the bunk above her, tried everything to get me to move. As soon as I put my bag down, before even getting on the bed, she opened the window by my head and told me to ask the front desk for a different bed because she wanted to eat on her bed (though there was no smell at all). Later that night, she opened the window again, letting the draft blow directly on my head (I woke up and closed it). The next morning, around 7 AM, she asked me why I was disturbing her sleep (seriously, what's wrong with her?). Thankfully, she got angry and moved out herself.
The lockers were incredibly loud; pulling them open at night made a huge noise and easily woke up roommates. The room lighting was very dim, making it hard to see when looking for things in the morning, even with the lights on.
Someone's food was also stolen from the kitchen fridge, but compared to everything else, that was a minor issue.

Perfect location on the middle of the walking street with plenty of shops and restaurants around
Room is clean with all facilities and buffet breakfeast with many choice
The perfect place to enjoy Reykjavik
The water barrier in the bathroom cannot block water, causing the bathroom to be very wet. In addition, there are no windows or exhaust, which makes the bathroom even more humid. In addition, there is no elevator on the other side, so you need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs, which is not recommended.

The location is really good, with a bus stop nearby. Accommodations in Iceland are generally quite small, but thankfully, this one was clean and tidy. It's also quite close to attractions in Reykjavik. You can store your luggage, the front desk service was polite, and breakfast was Western style.

Beautiful hotel and excellent location (I had a view of the main square and parliament building). The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. Food in the restaurant was superb with selected dishes from the local cuisine. The Spa design has taken inspiration from Icelandic nature in both colours, materials and textures, and is a fantastic addition to the experience with thermal pool, steam room, sauna, cold mist/rain and cosy relaxation areas.
Would highly recommend choosing this hotel when visiting Reykjavik, or using it as a base when exploring further around.
Lovely clean and spacious room. Nice little kitchen area with microwave to heat food.
Buffet breakfast was OK. Personally not to my taste, but that is only my opinion. The 16 year old with us loved the waffles with the choice of toppings!
The porridge which I do enjoy was good day 1 but very watery day 2. Choice of bread that could be toasted, margarine (Sorry I am a butter fan!), preserves, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes etc.
Free coffee wasn't great - again I'm a coffee snob and like a good cup of filter coffee. I did notice there was coffee to buy.
The room was great and the staff very helpful. We were able to park right outside our room.
Good location for Reykjavik by car, Thingvellir National Park etc. We travelled from here to both and also to Snaefellsnes Peninsula, which was worth the drive. Also we visited Rekyholt, Barnafoss and Hraunfossar waterfalls, Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring - try the tomato soup!

They even gave us breakfast (with vegetables and fruits, which is worth two or three hundred dollars in Iceland). The restaurant is very beautiful and I like to eat yan fish. I like it in the UK. The only drawback is that there is no elevator. Fortunately, we live on the first floor. The environment is amazing, and the two terraces face the cathedral! The milk at the 24-hour coffee shop is also delicious.

GGuest UserThis hotel is right next to (1min walk) Bus Stop 12 so I would recommend it to people from the location perspective, especially if you are planning to take day tours. You do need to walk 15+ min or more to the city centre for shopping but this is only 5min walk away from the seaside also.
The standard room we had was good, you need to request room cleaning service at the reception and bring you own toothbrush/paste & slippers.
GGuest UserI visited in the summer, but I noticed a very large set of radiators on the wall that weren't turned on, suggesting it would be warm enough in winter. The hotel is very clean, and the decor is really nice. Having traveled to several European countries, I found the hotel's price to be very reasonable, and the room quality was excellent.
MMark A VHotel Muli provides a clean, modern, and welcoming stay that stands out for its exceptional service and quality amenities. Based on a two-night stay, this hotel is a superb option for travelers prioritizing comfort and value slightly outside the immediate city center.
Highlights & Service
The staff's attention to detail was a defining feature. Following an advance notification, the hotel upgraded our room and decorated it with ”Happy Birthday” balloons and a complimentary bottle of non-alcoholic fizz—an incredibly generous and much-appreciated gesture that demonstrated top-tier customer care.
Comfort and Amenities
The rooms are consistently clean and modern. A practical benefit is the availability of free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the reception area, which is perfect for warming up after a day of exploring Iceland.
Food Experience
The breakfast is superb. It offers high-quality ingredients, great variety, and is clearly set up to cater to all dietary needs, complemented by genuinely great coffee.
Location and Verdict
The location is ideal—it’s friendly staff are helpful, and it’s not too far to walk to the main town area, balancing accessibility with a slightly quieter setting. We would definitely choose to stay here again. Even saw whales in the bay, amazing!
GGuest UserFirst hotel we stayed at Reykjavík. Location is great and breakfast spread was awesome. We like the room as it was big and spacious for 3 people but layout was kind of strange as the toilet and shower area was separate. 😏
Apart from that all the rest is great.
SSean CSAVery good, clean hotel typical of the Hilton brand. Room is big enough, modern and well-maintained. Very good hotel for a good restful night after the flight to Iceland. Parking is free.
ZZac Zhang**Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend!**
From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.
The location was perfect, close to
everything making it easy to explore the area. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options each morning.
What stood out the most was the attention to detail and the genuine care from the staff. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!
GGuest UserOverall, I enjoyed the stay, but the fact that walls are paper thick and your next door room people alarm can wake you up is annoying. Also, the sound of the wind bashing against the room window (6 floor) was annoying too. Location is the definitively the best.
ZZaynetzyTo my surprise, the time to access the locker is only from 9am onwards!!! (only when the staff is at the reception).
My plan was to put my luggage into the locker and I have to catch a morning bus at 7am the next day!! Next time please design the lockers in a way such that it is accessible 24/7 😅😅
Anyways, I still figured out a way - which is to walk to the bus terminal to leave my luggage at the lockers. Attaching a photo of the daylight at 12am 😊
