Coming from the airport, we took the Nankai Line to ”Tengachaya,” then transferred to the K-Line subway to Ebisuchō Station, which is very close. The hotel is right there when you exit. Actually, there's no need to book breakfast at the hotel; it's a set meal. There's a FamilyMart right across the street, and downstairs, there's a local udon noodle shop (Men no Sho Tsurumaru Udon (Nipponbashi store)) with a few tables and reasonable prices, so breakfast isn't necessary. We actually couldn't get used to their breakfast, FamilyMart is better. It's about a 20-minute walk to Shinsaibashi and Namba. To get to Kyoto, you can take the Keihan Electric Railway from Yodoyabashi.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from the subway station, right behind the Shinsaibashi Ferris Wheel, so it's super easy to find. We were two adults and one child, and booked a triple room. The room was genuinely tiny, so small it was hard to even open our luggage, but it had everything we needed. They provide three bottles of water daily, and there's a free ice machine available. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was very Japanese; it wasn't really to our taste, but it was enough to tide us over.

This is a genuine review, not from a bot or a part-timer. I was genuinely surprised by the facilities, room size, and overall value for money. Everything was clean and great. All the basic amenities were provided, and the lounge had everything you needed for washing your face, all for free. Frankly, the only downside is the location. It's in an area that feels a bit like Chinatown, and getting around can be a bit tough. Even two fit men walking at a brisk pace would take about 30 minutes to get to Dotonbori. There's a subway station right in front, so if you're not planning on staying out too late, I recommend using that to get around. Oh, and public transportation is incredibly expensive. And one more crucial thing! Hmm... I heard a rumor that it's a bit of a red-light district at night. I wouldn't have thought so at all, but I did notice some sights as I walked through the city center. You don't need to bring a pig-nose adapter; just a USB-C cable will do.

Review of Villa Fontaine Grand Osaka Umeda I stayed at Villa Fontaine Grand Osaka Umeda and found it to be a convenient and comfortable choice for exploring Osaka. The hotel is within walking distance of several train stations, including Osaka Station, which made travelling around the city very easy. The area is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and convenience stores, so food and essentials were always within reach. The hotel offers a complimentary spa for guests, though we didn’t get a chance to try it. The staff were friendly and able to communicate in English, which made the stay smoother. Check-in and check-out were done through machines, with staff available if assistance was needed. Overall, Villa Fontaine Grand Osaka Umeda provides great accessibility and a pleasant stay, ideal for travellers who want convenience and helpful service.

Great value for money! The hotel is really close to Nagahoribashi subway station, and there's a huge drugstore nearby with a wide variety of products. Plus, if you follow their official WeChat account, you get extra discounts. The room was clean, tidy, and quite spacious, with all the facilities you could need. The staff were friendly and welcoming!

Very perfect location with many transport options and different lines available. It’s within walking distance to Dotonbori and Namba. There are plenty of eateries nearby, and the hotel is opposite McDonald’s and a 24-hour AEON hypermarket. The room is enough for two people and has everything we need. It’s not very big, but more than sufficient. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Osaka! Perfect 10/10.

The room was exceptionally small. My 28-inch suitcase, when laid flat, practically filled all the available floor space. Despite its compact size, it was well-equipped and had all the essentials. Location-wise, it's about a 14-minute walk to the subway station and a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk to Shinsaibashi, offering a quiet haven amidst the city's hustle and bustle. The cleanliness was decent. The front desk staff were Indian, and there were no Chinese-speaking staff available at the time.

The hotel is located in the business district, just a short walk from the subway station. I did my research beforehand, so I knew that check-in was upstairs. There are plenty of restaurant choices nearby, and some famous local ramen places have a much better ambiance than those in Shinsaibashi. The only drawback is that the room was a bit small, but it was clean and the soundproofing was decent.

Size is pretty good for the location. You still can open your luggage and store them under the bed. There’s a bus stop 200m from the hotel that has direct service to Kansai International Airport. 5mins walking to Dotonburi, Family Mart, Lawson and 7Eleven at your doorstep. Highly recommended

This is my second time staying here. Japanese hotels generally have smaller rooms, which is understandable. This hotel is located right in Shinsaibashi, within walking distance. The room is small but charming, clean, and tidy. The only downside is the poor soundproofing; I could hear people laughing next door all night, which was a bit unsettling. Then, around 8 AM, someone suddenly came in to clean the room – I'm not sure what that was about...

ZZouzou..The room type was fantastic! My child slept in the middle, and the view was great. I stayed here once 8 years ago, and the room facilities are still very new, not outdated at all. My child loved looking out at the scenery from the windowsill, and at night, we enjoyed watching the clouds from bed.

DDingmaomisThe room design was modern and minimalist, making excellent use of the space, and it was spotless. My only minor complaint was that the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy, which unfortunately led to a restless first night. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor lounge on the ground floor. The Western-style set breakfast was also quite delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with this hotel.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel quite last minute before my trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. After reading some reviews, I opted for a twin room for more space, and even though it's near a main road, it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came daily. The hotel offers a variety of self-service toiletries you can pick up, and a special touch I appreciated was the complimentary overnight face masks. Downstairs, there's a large AEON food supermarket, and the Shiyobashi Subway Station Exit 2 is just a short walk away. Getting to Shinsaibashi only takes a few minutes. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere – truly a hotel that has it all!

Hhuam****I initially booked for three days, and was so pleased with the hotel that I extended my stay for another seven. We ended up staying a total of seven days here. Besides the excellent location and convenient transportation, the room size was decent and didn't feel cramped. Plus, in addition to a shower, there was also a bathtub.

MM49235****The hotel shares facilities with Spa World. When I visited, it was decorated for Christmas. The room itself was decent, but they don't provide slippers, which was a bit inconvenient. For dining, you can eat at the large cafeteria on the third floor of Spa World or at one of their other restaurants. There's a good variety of choices, and the prices are reasonable.

ZZuiwoyuemingzhongOur last night on our Osaka/Kyoto trip, with a 9 AM flight the next morning, we decided to stay in Rinku Town to avoid an early start. Choosing Odysis Suites Hotel turned out to be an excellent decision! It truly is a suite, and I think we even got the smallest room type. Can you believe getting a suite in a major Japanese city for just a few hundred yuan? The hotel is right next to the outlets and a supermarket, which is super convenient. The ocean view was lovely, though the weather wasn't ideal. I'd definitely love to stay here again if I get the chance. 😊
