The hotel is located slightly off the main road, and the turn-off doesn’t match the map, which can make it tricky to find after dark. Don’t look for an “Etosha Village” sign on the highway — instead, follow the sign for Taleni Etosha Lodge.
Accommodation is good: spacious rooms overlooking the bush where antelopes graze, and a nice selection of dishes in the restaurant.
If you arrive in the Etosha area after 5 p.m., when the park gates are already closed, this is the best choice. The lodge is only 10 minutes from Anderson Gate. Everything here is much better than at NWR lodges — the only downside is no night access to the waterhole.
The lodge also offers guided safari tours.
With a stay at Sasa Safari Camp in Outjo, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of SWA Namibia Gemstones and Outjo Public Library. This family-friendly campground is 6.2 mi (10 km) from Outjo Museum.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. This campground also features wireless internet access (surcharge), a picnic area, and barbecue grills.
You can enjoy a meal at the restaurant serving the guests of Sasa Safari Camp, or stop in at the snack bar/deli. Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge.
Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 10 guestrooms. Bathrooms with showers are provided.
Opwo, probably nobody knows, is a small town not famous; Simba, still in the primitive tribal community today, I am afraid that tourists to Namibia know a lot. To come to Opvo, it is to see the life state of the Simba people firsthand, do not look at the Simba people, there is no need to come to Opvo. We drove more than 600 kilometers, took more than 9 hours, and arrived at Opvo before the evening. The Opvo Country Hotel is located on a large hillside, and the lobby and restaurant are more decent and attractive, but the layout of the rooms is very simple and nothing to praise. For dinner we dine in the sunset, the sun is slowly setting, the embers are half red, the red beauty, it is difficult to express in words, I call it ”Namibia red”, unparalleled. If you want to go to the Simba village, tell the hotel front desk that Yuan Yuan wants silver, they will arrange a special person to accompany you.
What a gem! This place is absolutely charming, with cozy lodges perfectly equipped with everything you need and the cutest design details that make you feel right at home. Service here is Gondwana at its finest—flawless, attentive, and warm, exceeding all expectations. Evenings come alive with vibrant performances by a local music group, immersing you in the authentic vibe— pure magic under the stars. Highly recommend!
The hotel did not live up to expectations. For 3 weeks of travel, the most expensive hotel. The double rooms are small, there is no refrigerator. The view from the balcony is sad. Look at the wall of small trees. We were upgraded to a family room at no additional charge. They are large, located closer to the restaurant and the view is accordingly not of the forest, but as if higher, because... The restaurant and main building are located on a hill. The further the room is from the restaurant, the lower the house and the less view. We went to the pool near the restaurant, the water was warm. We took dinner for 500 US dollars per person. Dinner buffet without drinks. It is very dark at dinner, the lamps on the table are very dim. You can't see what you're eating. The dinner is delicious, but still very expensive for Namibia.
Best location to visit the nearby Unesco site; the property has a unique design and offers great dinners. Maybe a but too crowded as a lot of groups tend to stay at this property

GGuest UserFantastic and unique location, worth spending at least one night. Rooms are small but clean and very comfortable; very friendly staff too.

KKirill Balakhtina long dream of living in a lodge with tents rooms. Very comfortable6 lots of space, animals come straight to the house (giraffes, Onxes, where) and on the territory there is a young springbok who is constantly angry with the guests ”to play with him” )
Dinner is delicious and with a beautiful feed
KKam J.A absolutely exceptional accommodation. Just speakless. Architecture. Location. The restaurant at the top of the mountain is a weighty adventure for itself. The diversity of animals. I would recommend it to everyone absolutely and I will come back very safely. Thank you also for steph from check in.
