Family-friendly Hotels in Anhui, China

The hotel is in an amazing location at the top of huangshan, close to several view points. The room itself was a bit small and dated, but clean, and with a spectacular view. They provided a lot of things like flashlights, winter coats for when it's cold at night, umbrellas, etc. We had breakfast (included) and dinner (not included, but very value) here, and both had a good selection with a lot of healthy and authentic options. The service was also probably the best out of any hotel I've stayed at. Our host Xiao Ye kept in contact with us from WeChat, and gave us a lot of sight seeing tips and freebies. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater, and they sent someone to help us within 5min of asking. All in all, would highly recommend and come again.

We stayed for a night to be able to see the sunset and sunrise and all was arranged in order to allow it in the most comfortable and convenient way, from tours planned to down jackets in the room free for use. We were upgraded during check-in for a better room and used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. On top of that we also found a voucher for the spa in the room ☺️

The hotel is probably the best in Huangshan Mountains. Perfectly located at the intersection of multiple trails, it is ideal to stay overnight. The hotel is new and decorated with taste, it's clean and the staff is very helpful. The rooms are equipped with everything you might need especially if you travel there to hike and on a light backpack, from toiletries to warm jackets to get out at night. Also, it's small compared to the other hotels and feels much more human size and welcoming. The cafeteria / chill area are ok but could use a couple of comfortable chairs/sofas. You can find Costa Coffee downstairs and beer.

We are couple from Germany and Croatia and had an amazing stay at Yupinglou Hotel. We arrived on a very rainy and foggy day and were welcomed with warm ginger tea to warm us up. We were also allowed to check in early and could rest in our beautiful room with amazing view. Our personnel butler Xu Haizhong connected with us on WeChat so that we could communicate with him without being able to speak chinese and he was to our service 24/7. He send us a lot of useful information about the area and the weather forecast. Because of the jackets and umbrellas provided from the hotel we were able to explore huangshan despite heavy rain. When we came back we were welcomed again with ginger tea and beautiful personal gift from Xu Haizhong. The next morning we set our alarm clocks and Xu Haizhong guided us to a beautiful sunrise spot. Which we were able to enjoy without any other people around. A thing that is very rare in China. After that we had an amazing breakfast which prepared us for an amazing day with lot of sun, sea of clouds and breathtaking views. The location and the service of the hotel is the best on the mountain.

The front desk service of the hotel is very good, the rooms are clean, the facilities are advanced, and there are smart devices. Especially the hotel’s travel housekeeper, Miss Xie, is very professional. We designed a travel route based on our specific situation and found us an equally excellent tour guide in Xiaojiao. It was very convenient to sign up for a group tour at the hotel for the first time, saving a lot of trouble. What is worth praising is that the location of the hotel is really good. It is very convenient. You can just walk across from the transfer station in the scenic area. There is a large parking lot in front of the hotel. Parking is free when you stay in the hotel. Overall, it is very good and a very good stay experience.

If you like hyper modern and fancy hotels with glass and concrete, stay away. Yujian No8 has a great location I’m Tunxi (Huangshan old city). Location is rated good because of it depends where you are going. If you want to visit the old city this is perfect. It is a little difficult to find the hotel if you are on your own, but we were met by hotel staff who helped with suitcases and directions. You can not drive in Tunxi old city so there are a few hundred meters to walk. There is a direct bus line from Huangshanbei railway station or you can easily use taxi. The location is very quiet and it feels like you are experiencing a jump in time. The staff is great. They do speak little English, but it’s easy to use translator apps on your phone/ if you have WeChat they also have their own account where it’s easy to communicate. The staff provided very useful information about the area and were very helpful, nice, friendly and professional. The hotel has spacious rooms and lovely public area. This is a very unique traditional hotel, with classic decor and design. The room was very clean with nice amenities. Even if the hotel is displaying historical design, it has modern and nice stuff in the rooms. Our room has bathtub and shower and also a small lounge. Very enjoyable. The overall experience with a super location for exploring the old city made this one of our most memorable stays. We can highly recommend Yujian No 8!

It was a very satisfying stay. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive. Especially Yang Xiaolu at the front desk had a good service attitude. They also upgraded me to an executive suite for free and gave me free fruit. The room is large, clean and tidy. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, with a shower and a bathtub. The breakfast in the revolving restaurant combines Chinese and Western dishes, with delicious food and delicious food. Below is Xiaoyaojin Park, with pleasant scenery! You can have a leisurely breakfast and walk into the mountain. When you come back from the mountain, you can take a bath. Your legs won’t hurt the next day. The boss was very nice. It rained on the day we arrived and he even drove to Tangkou Station to pick us up. Takeaways arrive quickly, there is also a supermarket on the first floor, and the restaurant next to it is also very delicious.

It is also convenient to take Bus number 21 at the bus stop outside the Railway Station to Tunxi Old Street (about 30mins for CNY2). Good selection and nice buffet breakfast (mainly Chinese crusine).

We arrived at Huangshan from the Huangshan North High-speed Railway Station. The boss was very nice and picked us up at the station. It's actually quite close on foot but due to having suitcases. The house is quite exquisite in the village. The boss will also introduce some tourist attractions and help us call to confirm because it happens to be free of charge for many attractions on Wednesday, but we are foreigners and don’t know how to register on our mobile phone. Climbing Huangshan Mountain the next day also told us some information and how to choose the route up. They also helped us contact carpooling and it was not expensive. When you get tired after hiking, you can go directly to the hotel's restaurant. The owner's cooking skills are pretty good. We ordered bullfrog which was delicious. You don’t have to live near the old street, which is more commercial. Basically, anyone who comes to Huangshan can come here and everything will be settled. like. 😉

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay while in Huangshan. I have so many positive things to say about it, and I even decided to extend my stay for an additional night. The service was excellent and the people were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The manager spoke good English and was eager to help me organise my day-trip up the mountain. He arranged a car to transport me to the entrance of the mountain, provided me with a map and talked me through the hiking routes. I was also provided with complimentary fruit baskets and soft drinks throughout my time there. The breakfast that they served was plentiful and delicious. The room was very clean, tidy and aesthetically beautiful, the shower was powerful and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is also fantastic as there are many restaurants and shops within a close proximity, and the entrance to the mountain is only a 5-minute drive away. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Huangshan. I am extremely grateful to the owner and workers for their impeccable hospitality and for creating such an amazing hotel.

The name of the B&B condenses the characteristics of this B&B. The location is indeed very close to Nanhu. This was a trip that I took my 86 years old mom to travel with me. After a long bullet train ride and shuttle ride, Banyan Tree Huangshan gave us a warm welcome by upgrading our room to a villa. The place is beautifully designed, nested in a valley with traditional Hui style building. Inside the rooms, they have the western style bedroom and bathroom comforts, but the deco is traditional Chinese arts with a modern twist, very elegant, not the tacky hotel chain style but details that fits the surrounding nature beauty. All the rooms and facilities are very clean, and service people are very nice too. We had the front desk clerk Sweet, who updated our stay and a room cleaning lady May Zhang who helped us with our needs. Very thankful to their help! The outside garden design blends in with the surrounding mountains. They even have a petting zoo for visitors young and old. We dined in their Chinese restaurant the first night. The foods were good but I won't say exceptional. For two of us, it was way too much in food quantity for one order. We felt bad to waste food this way. Wish they have had smaller choices. But their breakfast is very impressive. And even though they are very close to Hong Village where the shuttle stops, they did not offer free shuttle which I think they should.
