"There was no room service we were there for 5 days. They had no numbers on a card in the room were we could contact room service we had to run down to rception each time as the milk tea coffee wern't topped up daily! The sheets & towels we also had to go chase up the cleaner & find he were abouts what room she was in to get clean sheets after sleeping on them for 3 night. Also fresh towels & bath & hand mat. Also with the minny bar in fridge once again they did not have a card were you could mark down what was used & put on your bill 4 check out! Kitchen only served breakfast's no lunch or tea. But Break fasts were great as you could have the buffet but no Orange Juice only Apple & Pineape. But also included a hot breakfast of toast eggs mushrooms sausage tomatoe & bake beans & bacon. Eggs done anyway u want. Which my husband got every am I had the continentsl breakfasts was grest except no OJ with the toast poached 'eggs mushrooms spinach salmon & holindausec sauce. Plenty of choice 4 breakfast. Oh & no raw sugar 4 people who who don't like white sugar. Filliing fir a big day planned. We stayed in the executive sweet with king size bed a verandah overlooking pool & spa.. Great size and over looking the verandah the pool with its green lights & spa at night was very tempting to go in for a swim! Maybe once get the lunches & tea up & running will be a great restaurant!! Only once was there a was a problem hot meal got brought out b4 buffet. So the cold buffet should of been finished b4 serving my hot breakfast as by the time I finish my buffet my hot mesl was cold!! Also there is a permanent musty smell throughout the corridors walking to the lifts to get to reception outside & the restaurant which is outside to side entrance & pool. Deffinately needs attending. We also had a leaking noisy toilet that kept us awake the first nite. They couldn't get anyone to fix it but offered us to move to another room. We were happy to stay in the room we paid for Instead of shifting as it did not have the verandah with the pool & spa view! & it was easier just to turn it off at nite & turn it on when needed to flush!."

"The hotel is conveniently located near the Esplanade, with only a 10–15 minute walk to Cairns Mall. The staff were helpful and accommodating, which made the stay pleasant. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was slow and not always reliable."

"Please, please, please include in your brochure/ad that the bathroom is NOT suitable for elderly or even slightly handicapped people. The floor is like a bowl. The shower is inaccessible if you are short because in order to step in, you have to stand back several feet to avoid the incline. Once you're in, because inside is like a bowl too, it would be impossible to get out. May I suggest you at least put handicap rails on the tile side of the opening? Not sure if it would help, but it couldn't hurt. I am 5' tall and have a bad back and I could not get into the shower no matter how hard I tried. The bed was beautiful, but it would be great if you provided a soft pillow as well as the firm ones on the bed. We did not eat there as the breakfast was not actually on site. The front staff were friendly. I would suggest also that if you require guests to smoke on the sidewalk out in front, you should furnish ashtrays as the entrance was littered with cigarette butts and could prove to be a fire danger if someone isn't careful. "I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Although the room design is old style(not renovated one), the room is clean and the sea view is amazing. Great location especially to the meet up point of skydive and diving. Just 5 mins walk. Casino is just nearby so you don’t need to worry the night activities. Staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoy the stay a lot."

"The hotel and casino is still impressive and the staff were friendly and helpful. For the price the rooms are quite dated and for complementary parking to not be included in the booking price was a little disappointing. The bed was very comfortable, overall a nice stay, would stay again."

"The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from the terminal where all the trips leave and only 5 minutes from the night market. I did have an issue with my first room: it was right next to the A/C compressor and the noise made it impossible to sleep. After I complained, the staff helped me move to another room, but I was disappointed that they seemed aware of the problem and only acted once someone complained."
