Given the recent weather conditions (typhoon hagibis and lots of rain), we weren't sure if it was going to be worth making the 4 hour trip to Hakone (the trainline from Hakone Yumoto station was down so replacement bus services were in place). We arrived at the guesthouse having already pre-booked the dinner round the firepit and I'm glad we did. We took our own booze, sat around the firepit with some of the other guests and cooked fish and veg over the fire. For dessert we toasted marshmallows. The guesthouse was really nice and clean, well designed and the staff were friendly. The next morning we went for a walk in Hakone but the weather was quite bad, we just headed to an onsen near Hakone Yumoto station. The visit to the guesthouse and dinner made the trip worthwhile.

During the epidemic, I missed the beautiful scenery and blue sky of Hakone so much. I had been thinking about the hotel for three years, and finally booked a room three months in advance before the National Day trip. The hotel is rated 5 points because there is no 10-point option. The hotel environment and services completely exceeded expectations, and it was worth the price. I experienced the thoughtfulness and perfection of Japanese service. There are mostly European and American guests in the hotel, and there is no barrier to English communication with the staff. It is a 3-minute walk from Gora Station, and within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach Gora Park and the Sculpture No Mori Museum of Art. But contact the hotel in advance, and the hotel will thoughtfully arrange a pick-up and drop-off. The hotel environment is impeccable and the design is full of design. It is worthy of being the work of a master, and it looks great every time you take a photo. The kaiseki dinner was just average, not particularly amazing. The only drawback is that the room we stayed in was on the first floor and there was a bit of an unpleasant smell from the shower drain at night.

We got this very large suite that was in the CONDO complex. It is outside of the main building but there are walkways in the back that allow transverse with the key. That said, it was incredibly comfortable. The beds were plush and comfy. Spring bath was soothing. The suite was HUGE!! There was a large sitting area as well as a patio. The entire place never felt crowded even though people were always checking in. I did not see anyone the entire time while walking around except during mealtime and the dessert hour. We signed up for both dinner and breakfast because we weren’t too keen on looking for a restaurant. It was the best decision because the food was very fresh and varied (although focused on Japanese more). It was buffet style with an extra personalized item that you get to order. Dessert was generous and there was a small bar to mix one’s own drinks. Afterwards, there is a dessert-beer-coffee bar that was just wonderful. It was like a mixer. The onsen was nice. We ended up doing only the private onsen and it was available both times. We also had the bath in the suite. Everything felt super clean and immaculate. The hosts and reception personnel were nice and friendly throughout. Check-in and check-out was quick and seamless. It is about 5 minutes’ walk from the GORA train station. There are lots of bus in the main street downstairs.

The hotel is right near Gora Station, about a 5-minute walk, which is very convenient. The hotel's location is relatively independent, and it feels like it owns the entire forest. The Japanese-style tatami room is relatively clean overall. The hotel service is very considerate and communication in English is OK. We arrived late in the evening, so we called the store to ask for a reservation for dinner. It is quite convenient to stay in the main hotel. After checking in, the store will take you to the room step by step and introduce you to various facilities, usage methods and precautions. They are very detailed. Dinner and breakfast are all sumptuous! But I have to complain a little bit. Maybe it’s because my taste is relatively bland, but Japanese food is really salty🥹. Kaiseki cuisine is slightly better... The scenery in the courtyard is amazing! The most anticipated thing is the outdoor hot spring. I ran there in the morning when the baby was still awake (you can start soaking at 6 a.m.!). The early morning sunrise + morning fog + red leaves 🍁 couldn’t be more perfect! PS This little shop even hosted the Emperor! give it a like! If you want to experience a traditional Japanese hotel, go for it!

The hotel is very close to Gora Station. It takes only 4 minutes to walk to the hotel. The staff's service attitude is very good. When we walked to the hotel, they were already waiting for us on the ramp. We were greeted with snacks and drinks when we entered the hotel, so we didn't have to queue to check in. Check out, as soon as you sit down, you will be greeted. I booked 1 hotel room and 2 meals. I chose Japanese food for dinner and Western food for breakfast. Both meals were of a very high standard. The view of Hakone Mountain from the breakfast was very comfortable. Originally I thought about traveling around Hakone on the first day, but ended up spending the whole day in the hotel. The hotel environment is so comfortable. You can hear the sound of running water on the terrace. I will definitely book 2 nights next time.

Great hotel located near Gora station. It was a lovely stay in a very traditional Japanese hotel. The highest score for me goes to the staff who are very friendly and helpful. I stayed an extra night in a different booking and did not need to check in again. Very efficient reception. They were also very accommodating to my friend who is vegetarian. The hotel needs some modernisation but that is part of the charm. Great place and lovely holiday in Hakone.

On the day of the three consecutive holidays, Hakone's schedule was suddenly said that he wanted to stay, and searched for the inn in a hurry. Naturally, there is no vacancy in the affordable inn, and only a terrible luxury inn that exceeds 100,000 per room per night comes out, and I found one room here. With half board per night, it costs about 30,000 yen for two people, which is reasonable for recent Hakone, so make a reservation immediately. I checked in immediately. In conclusion, it's just an individual impression, but it was a good price. (No, to be more honest, a little ago, I thought, ”I wonder if this content is a little expensive ...”. Recently, the inbound has recovered, so the hotel fee is exploding ... A little good trip 60,000 cars are natural in the building ...) [Location] It is the best base for sightseeing because it is right in front of Gora Station and just across the railroad tracks. Because it is beside the railroad tracks, the sound of the railroad and railroad crossings can be heard from early morning to late at night (even though it is about 22:00?). Those who care may be concerned, but I didn't care much. [Room] It feels like a business hotel with a little size. Refrigerator, pot, TV, yukata, haplasi, etc. are available. There is a unit bath in the room. The air conditioner seems old and cannot adjust the temperature very detailedly. It was good to be able to open the window. [Meals] ”All-you-can-eat roast beef ♪ & All-you-can-drink” is for urinary use, and the hotel leaflet also describes roast beef. Unfortunately, instead of cutting it on the spot, the ones that were cut in advance were put in a big bad, and they were divided into plates at the dinner venue. The roast beef itself was delicious However, it was a little disappointing. The number of items was Japanese and Western, but there were also cold foods such as karaage and nuggets, and to be honest, there weren't many things that made me want to eat. Overall, the image of the family restaurant salad bar getting bigger. Sashimi is also a little .... Overall it was a disappointing feeling. However, for those who drink beer and alcohol at this price, it is not possible to drink all-you-can-drink beer and alcohol. You'll be happy. There are also soft serve ice cream and cream puffs, so I'm convinced that there are many families with children. As I noticed later, the difference between the price of staying without meals and half board is only thousands of yen, so It's a content that it can't be helped if the thousands of yen is considered as a meal fee. [Bath] There is one indoor and one outdoor hot spring. It's not that big, but it's not too small, I think it was almost full on the day, but it was crowded at night and in the morning and it was not uncomfortable. The hot water was a trot and it felt good. It was a little disappointing that I had horse oil hair cream, but I didn't have lotion & lotion. I want lotion more than hair cream ... Or does Hakone no Yu need lotion? So, if you total it's a price, is it? This time I had no choice because I made a reservation just before, but I think I will stay somewhere else even if I go a little more next time. (video)

The hotel has a face steam engine, a capsule coffee machine, an air purifier, and an open-air room. The balcony has a wooden spa bath. The hotel has a free little popsicle, and it’s good to eat in the hot springs. Breakfast and dinner are very rich, and dinner is even more abundant than the Kaiseki that I went to the 1900 flower bed. Very satisfied. However, the general network of Hakone hotels is not good, there is no WIFI in every room, it is a hotel unified WIFI

It is best to bring it before checking in.

We stayed at the Hakone Hotel as part of a tour group. We had a spacious twin room with a view over the garden and part of Lake Ashi. The room spotlessly clean and was very comfortable. We had a comfortable chair and a comfortable 2 seater couch as well as comfortable beds. In the morning we had a beautiful clear view of Mt Fuji from the grounds of the hotel. We had a delicious included dinner at the hotel as well as a good buffet breakfast. There was a capsule coffee/tea maker in the room that I tried with Earl Grey Tea which was a bit strong for my taste.

This hotel is a historic property set in an iconic setting. We stayed in the Forest Section which features large, comfortable rooms that were a little dark, the bathroom lighting could be improved. Here is my issue. We arrived around 1:15 and we’re told that we could check in at 3:00. We had lunch in their cafe ( 50$) and asked again about an hour later if we could have early access. The very polite desk clerk replied “ Yes, for $70 dollars “. Astounded , I countered that we were departing early 2 days later, and he reduced the amount to $35. Now here is where communication becomes an issue: I continued the “are you kidding me?” and he kept bowing. I thought the issue was settled. That night and the next we ate at their lovely restaurants, French and the Cascade. Food and service was superb. With wine we spent about $900. Check out was early, and my husband didn’t really examine the bill. When we were back in our free early access room in Tokyo I noticed the $35 charge. I contacted the hotel’s customer service and they confirmed the charge. So, what about customer hospitality? I have NEVER been charged an early access fee for an hour. They have been times when we patiently waited for a room to be readied, and never demanded a rebate. It is all part of the guest/host agreement, I think this is probably a corporate decision by the Fujiya Group. Rethink your mission, guys, make guests feel wanted!

The word of mouth of the famous travel site was good, the point of the site was stored, and it was sold at the sale price, so I decided here without much investigation. In a word, it is an inn operated by foreigners. The administrator is Japanese, but I only saw foreigners, so I thought the operation was a foreigner. Cleaning rooms and baths, replenishment of room fixtures, etc.々, I felt that I didn't reach the level that Japanese people expected. The location is not the Kora station, which can be said to be a relay point, and 2 station is the nearest station from there, but about 5 − 10 minutes walk from the station. It is close enough to walk. However, in front of the inn, there are many steep slopes, and there are many stairs in the inn, and it is better to avoid those who are weak in foot and waist. The meal is not luxurious. Because it was a stay at a sale price, there is no dissatisfaction with the meal that matches the price. It was good to be able to choose the breakfast time at 8:30 or 8:30. In the morning and evening, it was a private room on the main building 2 floor. The digging type, the air conditioner is incorporated into the wall instead of the ceiling, and the height is the waist position, so the person sitting in the back is hit by the cold wind on the waist. Cold or pregnant women should bring scrolls so that they do not cool their waist. The bath used the main building both the night of the arrival and the morning of the departure day (because it was troublesome to leave the building and cross the road once I thought that the annex Sakura Tei would like to use it). I never met a person. After all, is there a lot of people using the annex? I was reading a bad comment about the bathtub, so I just took a shower and didn't catch the bathtub. Surely the hot water was not overflowing from the bathtub. There are towels 2 types, yukata, toothbrush, razor, and com in the room. It was written that it would cost if you wanted to add it. This is the first time I have stayed in this place, is this the present age? There are washbasins, dryers, hand wash, mini refrigerator, hot water drinks and cups in the room. I asked for replenishment because the coffee and tea pack were replenished and forgotten. The vending machine water is 230 yen, and canned beer 350ml is 350 yen.

I booked a one-night stay at the Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel in Hakone on February 5, 2024. The hotel is on the top of the mountain. The location is excellent and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery that cannot be seen below the mountain. It happened to be a rare heavy snowfall that day, and the traffic in Hakone was paralyzed, making it impossible for us to reach the hotel normally, so we immediately contacted Ctrip’s customer service. I would like to thank Ctrip’s sister Xiaohe very much for worrying about my urgent need. Contact the agent and ask the hotel to send a car to pick us up at Gora Station. Although we waited for 2 hours, it was very good to be able to do this under the sudden heavy snow and force majeure. I would like to thank Ctrip for its perfect after-sales service. I would also like to thank the hotel staff for being able to arrange every guest in the hotel under such extreme weather conditions! The hotel is very clean and the whole environment is very quiet. The Japanese courtyard style makes people feel away from the hustle and bustle and alone in a pure place. Especially after the heavy snow, it is like a fairy tale world with beautiful scenery. After check-out, the hotel has a dedicated bus to take guests to Odawara West Exit, which is very convenient. If I have a next trip, I will still choose this old hotel.

I am a Japanese. I really enjoyed the stay. I like non-expensive Onsen so We stayed at Annex room. No private onsen in the room but large enough and clean(a bit old but well remodelled). If you pay more you can stay in a Private Onsen room but it costs more of course. DInner is Japanese style with good volume and taste. really good Shabushabu we had. It may be tough for people who cannot eat true Japanese food. There are options without dinner but I am not sure there are restaurants available near by. Breakfast is buffet. Mostly Japanese but bread, eggs and some western stuff available. Tamagoyaki(Japanese style baked egg) is really great. Fruits and Japanese sweet are also awesome. Onsen water quality is not great(no Onsen/sulfur smell). But rooms are clean and large. Clean cloth box with a key. Outside Onsen is available. Good shower hot water volume. Shiseido face lotion is also avaiable which is amazing. 3PM check in and 11 AM check out is great. Location is between Hakone-Yumoto and Lake-Ashi. not a city center. we went with a car but there is a 100 JPY bus service from Hakone-Yumoto. Or 1000JPY taxi. Great hospitality and service. I am not sure they can speak English but at least they will try I am sure.

Real hot springs, as they are. Another hospitality provided by the owner, who has lived in the area for many years. Soak in a good quality hot spring and sleep well. A stay that makes you think it's the best. This is a place that can teach you the depth of the meaning of hospitality. It may not be as polished or extravagant as other hotels, but it carries the heart of the owner who was raised in this land, along with a real hot spring. Sometimes I said I would stay at the inn of Western dinner, and I made a reservation that it was a good evaluation. It was almost a good comment when I read the inn site. However, I wanted to check in advance, and even if I called, I was a message many times, and I didn't return it even if I put a message. I imagine a Petit Hotel or pension from the name, but when I stepped into the building, it was completely different. First of all, there is no pot or glass in the room, they are in the hallway, put tea in the hallway, and bring the room, but the door is automatic lock, so if you forget the key, it is miserable in one hand. The room has a small sofa, but I couldn't feel very clean and didn't use it, and I was sitting on the bed all the time in the room. The bath in the room is a unit bus, but there is no outlet, and the dryer (also in the corridor) is not available in the unit bus. Anyway, there was no washlet in the toilet, and the seat was attached to the toilet seat, and it was wet when sitting, and it was disgusting to use the toilet and open the lid. In addition, the door of the unit bus does not open if it does not cut the power (even in the power of the man), and it is only half open, and one of the washing yukata placed in the room has a stain that cannot be brown on the neck Because I didn't use it. It was an introduction on a travel site called a relaxing Hollywood twin room, but Hollywood twins I stayed so far were heaven and earth. When I went to the rental bath of the open-air bath, the socks I wore were wet, and the floor was from the top? It was leaking. I went to the open-air bath again the next morning, but at that time the floor was wet to think that the dressing room was flooded. The hot water in the bath is a white good hot water with a sulfur smell. The rental open-air bath is a good size even if two people enter together. Shampoo and rinse are a system to borrow and return at check-out, but I think it's good to put two kinds of baths in the bath. In fact, it was in the bathroom, and it had a heavy bottle 3 book, and the up and down of the very steep stairs was troublesome, and it was inconvenient to return only when checking out. In addition, the outlet of the dressing room is attached with gum tape and cannot be used for dryers. It was a complaint of the ”inn of the open-air bath” inn site, but it was said that 3 one rental bath can only be used 2 one. Even if you stay in a couple and come by two people, some people use it alone, so I thought I should use 3 (after all, only one). There was a small rest corner, with games, manga and instant coffee machines. When I went to drink coffee the next morning, there was a paper written as ”end of use”. Because the game machine fixtures remained scattered on the table, it may be a good inn for people who like games. Dinner was a western menu of courses at the restaurant. This was a satisfying content. The dessert was delicious. I expected breakfast for western food, but it was sausage and scrambled eggs that I was eating at my own house. There were only 2 super petit pans and I was disappointed with a small amount of breakfast. Also went to the breakfast restaurant at 8 o'clock, the start was 8 o'clock 10 minutes and I just waited at a table with nothing. At least I could put water or juice first. I was angry as I didn't complain about anything until now. There were a few customers waiting in this state, but there was no word that I had to wait. Also, as I drank the soup, I thought it was not cold soup, so I thought it was just wet. Although it should be possible to use the card, it was said that it was not possible to use the creditor's instrument or failure at the time of the adjustment, and it was paid in cash. Because I didn't feel hospitality at all and the inn that is not the same as the usual inn, the cost performance is very bad considering the 々 aspect. Moreover, this reflection point was that the word of mouth of the inn introduction site was only good, so I believed it. I should have read it firmly except for word of mouth and inn site. No recomendition.

Due to the small number of guest rooms, we were able to use the facility as if it were reserved for us. There is also billiards, so you can enjoy playing after taking a bath, and there are massage chairs, so you can relax. In addition, we will pick you up from Ohiradai station / bus stop, so access is very good. (Although it is a little far from the hot spring village) It was very well cleaned and I was able to spend a comfortable time, but unfortunately the shoji screens in the room where I stayed were torn in several places and the closet had stains, so I gave it a cleanliness level of 4. The hotel is designed as a traditional Ryokan inn and provides traditional Japanese hospitality with rooms that are clean and well-designed. Make sure to experience the full service by availing of the breakfast and dinner service in your rooms. There are bountiful seafood dishes that are provided for each meal. Take advantage as well of the onsen (natural hot spring) facilities. There are touches of modern amenities in the hotel to make you feel comfortable. I commend the staff for their excellent service and will definitely come back in the future.

On Friday, I had a break, so I hurriedly booked a plan for staying without meals. It is a mountain room in the pond building, within 1 Person 1 10,000 yen. In the evening 17 I arrived at half past half, but the shops near Hakone Yumoto Station were almost closed. The correct answer was that I was procuring side dishes in the basement of the department store in Shinjuku. The convenience store was open. There are liquor stores and Lawson near the inn. The garden was an invisible room, but it was wide 々 and the scenery was good and I could see the mountains. The cleaning was well done. The futon is a style that you lay yourself, but I was grateful that you were prepared for a split, plate, and glass, probably because of the consideration for guests staying without meals. Coffee and tea were also set. It was good that the large communal bath and the bath in the room were both hot springs. The room was a unit bath, but I didn't really care. The next morning I took a walk in the large garden. I was able to relax. Hakone Yumoto is close to 80 minutes from Shinjuku, and I think it is an affordable plan for train fares and accommodation plans for inns of this class. I want to go to stay again when I have time.

Disappointed. 2nd visit to Hakone Fuga. Not the same anymore. Where should I even begin. Check-in Process was a disaster. No one noticed that we had arrived nor assisted to carry our luggages from our car. What a huge difference from our first visit to Hakone Fuga. Hotel staff were more focused on domestic tourists than foreign tourist visiting. Despite arriving before 2 couples (domestic tourists), they were allowed to sit at the bar counter and were served more professionally than the front desk staff that served us who did not seem very clear in the check-in process. Furthermore, they placed us at the 2nd level and the staff didn't go the extra mile to carry all our luggages up, and we had to carry some of it ourselves. No suggestions from staff to assist us to carry it down upon check-out, we had to do it ourselves too. No introduction to the room because I mentioned we visited before once, but the room type was different from our initial stay. He carried one of our luggages up, and walked us to our room, and left. Very poor hospitality compared to our first visit The only saving grace was their dinner/breakfast staff at the restaurant as the service there felt genuine and sincere. Fusion food for the dinner course lacked the authentic Japanese experience we were looking for. If you expect to charge your guest almost 99,000 yen per night, please be prepared to UP your service and standards as they have completely fell short from our first visit to Hakone Fuga. We will definitely not return again because the entire experience felt like we were ”ghosted” by the hotel staff. If I have to rate the first visit to the second visit, it was 9/10 to 1/10 (service staff efforts dinner/breakfast). Also, if you are going to practice double standards (Japanese Customers vs Foreign Tourist), please do us a favor, don't advertise your ryokan/hotel to international tourists. You completely let us down, Hakone Fuga. We wasted our 99,000 yen on your hotel for 1 night. Other ryokans charged us lower and the service was impeccable. You need to, seriously, REFLECT

I was in mid-November for 2 nights in Azito. The location is good and the price was cheap (3500 yen or € 24 per night at the time). The people at the reception were very nice and took time to answer all my questions. The English of the Japanese was here was with the best I've experienced in Japan. The rooms themselves are as mentioned wooden boxes in trapez form. Content of the box is a double bed mattress that was very soft, 4 kits and a thick ceiling. There was also a stick (with 2 USB-A outputs) and 2 clothing sticks, 1 light switch and 1 ventilation switch. For one person more than enough. There is, of course, too far it becomes coughing. In total, however, much more space than in other Japanese hostels. The locker was in the front and also here very spacious. 2 hand bags and backpacks fit in here. The showers and toilets were clean and in order. At the reception you can borrow a towel (100 yen), a towel (for hands) you get for free. Wi-Fi was also in order and I had no problem during my stay. Breakfast could be bought in FamilyMart around the corner. I did not cook, so I can say to the kitchen nix. I didn't try the bar itself. I found the prices also a little expensive, as you could find something better in the village. Maybe you give guests a free drink or a coupon, then it would be better visited ;) The only negative was that the wooden box was a little bright, or I had a very noisy room neighbor. P.S. The last 200 meters are Something steals who had a bag should perhaps take the bus to the hostel.

In the book called the ultimate source inn 73, it was included in the luxury class in the hot spring inn which was in the best 10, but it was inspired to stay cheaply in GoTo. I think Uri is an open-air bath in a separate building assigned to each room 1. 8 rooms accept up to 8 guests, and there are 8 open-air baths, but 6 on the 1 floor and 2 on the 3 floor. The third floor seems to be wider and the view is good, and we were lucky to have an open-air bath on this third floor and had a rock bath. But the outside temperature was low because of winter, and the bathing at night was very cold. It's dangerous after drinking... Some people have bad evaluations for meals, but it's small and sophisticated, although it's not volume, and it was a favorite dish for me of the sake school. The guide was certainly a foreigner, so there were times when it was a little difficult to understand what he was saying, but it was a very friendly customer. The hot spring was certainly a good hot water, but I thought it was a little more luxurious, so I was a little disappointed there. Overall, Cospa feels a bit bad, but it is definitely a very good inn if you don't think about the price. There is nothing around, so I think it is an adult hot spring inn to relax while enjoying hot water and meals.

During the holiday season, the price is a little expensive, but it is worth the money. This is a typical Japanese-style inn, with tatami and family hot spring rentals, which can only be reserved after check-in. Breakfast is a Japanese buffet, the type is OK, it is over at 9 o'clock, you need to go early.

Very good stay experience, there is nothing wrong with your point. The hotel has a total of 8 rooms, the rooms are very large, and each room is equipped with a butler. Come back to the housekeeper every day to help you pick up things to the room, then prepare refreshments and ask you to prepare some dinner. Dinner is a Kaiseki cuisine, a lot of roads. However, it is necessary to remind families with children that children are too small to eat Kaiseki, and we all buy food from outside. If you prepare your child separately, you will pay an extra 10080 yen a day. Let's talk about hot springs, bring hot springs in the room, come back and put in water. After dinner, you can soak, or you can go outside public. I have no one to go to the public soup pool for three consecutive nights. In short, not bad money can go to experience, definitely worth it

At the reception, when I was waiting, a dark female staff member said, ”If you don't wear a mask, you can't enter the building, so please buy it.” I was warned only that there were other male customers with real faces. There is no one other than the staff who pays attention to the real face, and the hot springs, dressing rooms, and the building are full of real faces. I understand that it is easy to be careful because I am a young woman, but I would like you to respond without discrimination. The mask is not sold one piece, but only 500 yen as a set. The restaurant tastes like a food court. The taste is not suitable for health-oriented people because it has plenty of additives and a small amount of vegetables. It was 16000 yen for bathing fee and restaurant for 4 adults and 2 infants. It's a super public bath atmosphere, so it's a little too expensive. It was a pity that there was a smoking corner on both the left and right sides of the entrance and exit, and I couldn't avoid the smell of cigarettes. There are many group guests who smoke, so it may be suitable for banquets. When I checked the receipt, there was no mask price. At least it is a salvation.

I visited for free. Although there are some negative points due to the old facilities, it is a price range that is easy to visit when you want to come to the hot springs, and the quality of the hot springs is not bad, so it is a new and fashionable facility, to stay without seeking gorgeousness. I thought I was there. Personally, according to the hotel rules, you can go back and forth in the bath with sandals in the room, so I think sandals have dirt on the shoes on the outside, but there are no other footwear in the room. I was worried about the aging of the washroom and the bus, because the boundary between the foot and the non-smoking area seemed vague, including the cleaning staff.

Location was great, just behind the train station. Room was huge and spacious with dining area. Did not book with meals, counter staff first said we can walk in to Japanese restaurant without booking for dinner, other restaurants require reservation. When we returned in the evening, manager insisted all restaurants require reservation and Japanese restaurant was not open, only Chinese restaurant available. Unfortunately whole hakone was almost closed by 5pm, no choice but to take the Chinese food. Booked private onsen with counter, staff at onsen counter had wrong rates and took a while to clarify, seems like half the staff were confused with inaccurate info. Ofher than that, overall one night stay was pleasant, left my milk bottle there and they promptly forwarded to my next hotel upon request. Much appreciated!

It is suitable to drive by yourself, otherwise it is not easy to find. The room is clean and tidy, the environment is also good, there is a terrace facing the woods, the air is very good in the morning. The shabu-shabu for dinner and the Japanese breakfast are quite delicious. The waiters are basically of Southeast Asian descent. If you have high expectations for the traditional services of Japanese hot spring hotels, this may not be the first choice.

This hotel is a bit hard to reach by public transport. There is a bus that stops closeby, but there is also a train, however, after that you have to walk for 20 minutes and the road can be quite steep in some parts. In the vicinity, there are some convenience stores and restaurants. The town of Hakone is beautiful and located close to mount Fuji. We had a lovely ryokan-style suite with twin beds. Everything was very clean and comfortable, including the pillows. Breakfast is buffet-style and offers both European and Asian food. There are both a public onsen and a private one. Staff is very friendly and speaks English very well.

Staff members are well dressed with impeccable manners. The service is excellent, their anticipation of client needs is outstanding. I have sciatica and they brought a bath chair to my room within 15 minutes of check-in. When they realized the next day that it wasn't really what I needed, they immediately brought a small stool. Incredible, I never expected such caring service. The room is classy, with a wood / glass book-case. It is very clean. They provide pajamas and a warm shawl, just in case you wish to walk outside and feel cold. The couch is comfortable and besides a desk, they also provide seating for two at a separate table. My friend and I enjoyed room-service breakfast every morning - we stayed for 4 nights. The onsen and bath area is spacious with plenty of amenities. Beds are comfortable and pillows lean towards the soft side. Lighting is good. From my balcony, I can see the Koi pond with some beautiful. colorful fish. Very relaxing. Meals are well thought out with 3 different menu choices. The basic menu, a ”medium” menu and the full menu. The basic menu is sufficient for our appetite, though we tried the full menu the last evening - it was delightful but a bit filling. Wine list not big but sufficient for a couple of nights' stay. This is a quiet space with a classic atmosphere. Therefore, anyone wishing for a move lively atmosphere might wish to consider another venue. However, if relaxation and good spa treatments are what you want, it is wonderful. My friend and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys good food with onsen baths, relaxation, a beautiful tree-lined garden and great service.

I recommend Hakone Ashinoko Hanori Hotel. The hotel is very beautiful. The lobby has a welcome drink. However, there is no wild food nearby, and it’s good to enjoy the hot spring quietly. This package includes one stay and two meals. There are not many choices for buffet dinner, and the desserts are more attractive. The hot springs are relatively small, so you can enjoy the outdoor hot springs, but the spring water is like hot water 😂. The breakfast was pleasantly surprised, and there were more choices than the dinner. All in all, the hotel is very comfortable and the staff are very polite.

This was my first experience at a ryokan. I am so glad that my sister booked a traditional ryokan with a private Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. We also had our own onsen in the room. It was so very relaxing and beautiful. The whole experience put me back into the days of old Japan. I would love to stay here again! The staff does not speak much English but they do use a translator tool that makes it easy to converse and understand. The food was amazing! The sleep was amazing. The room was spacious and accommodated 4 adults. The onsen was so relaxing. The lobby and ryokan is gorgeous and well upkept! We did stay in a newly renovated room-Zuisan. They are very accommodating to your every need. I truly felt like I was in Old Japan. I want to go back again soon. (note: I will update with photos later as there are so many)
