|3.07km from city centerHotel is actually much nicer and brighter than the photos on the website suggest. Reception was pretty much none existent and the shower was no more than a trickle. On the plus side, good value for money and great location yo walk into the city centre. The option of breakfast would have been good although the excellent Wee Cafe just up the road did an excellent eggs benidict which more than made up for it. I will definitely stay again mainly due to the location

|0.76km from city centerSo as any hotel stay is half bed and half breakfast I could not score this stay any higher than an average as I only enjoyed a part of it. On the positive side, the room is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. There is tea/instant coffee and kettle available. The room is on the warm side, and as the window is tied to prevent you opening too much, it closes during the night, however you can get a reasonable night sleep. My only suggestion for the housekeeping staff is to ensure the shower gel is topped up - since the bottle is tacked to the wall. The breakfast on the other hand is awful. The quality of the cooked breakfast ingredients is very low. The coffee was disgusting. The yoghurts all fruit (high in sugar) no natural yoghurt on offer. So my recommendation would be to book the room without breakfast if you can, and head out for breakfast. I was certainly on the hunt for decent coffee straight after breakfast.

|0.78km from city centerHotel was well located and very clean inside. Rooms made up daily. Breakfast was ok. Odd smell in bathroom - think the drains are not right. Main issues - bathroom extractor fan continuously on -annoying. The doors to other rooms slam noisily and some awful motor/generator out back of hotel also causing constant noise. Hot rooms; window only opens a crack. Overpriced for what is essentially a marginally polished premier inn.

|1.08km from city centerThree people stay in one room, and the sofa bed can be turned into a single bed. It is a 12-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle, the church, the royal mile, and the library, and there are shops along the way. The hotel breakfast is a standard British breakfast, with sausages, eggs, ham, bread, cheese, cereal and fruit. The hotel also provides free self-service washing machines and dryers, but you need to queue up to use them. The room has a microwave and dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a safe. There is a Malaysian restaurant next door. I highly recommend this hotel.

|0.57km from city centerThe hotel is located in the new town, 10 minutes walk to Prince Street, the location is very good, downstairs is very popular with locals of the traditional British restaurant, locals will come here specially for breakfast. There is a unique design style, the room is big enough, the bed is comfortable enough, very comfortable experience, the only downside is that the stairs are very narrow and the large luggage is very difficult to get up and down.

|0.24km from city centerI can not express how disappointed I was with this hotel. I did extensive research as I wanted somewhere nice for my birthday and picked this hotel as it had great reviews and being just under £370 per night for a Delux room with city views my expectations were high. Well what a shock I got. The Bedroom was average at best and certain not deluxe. The beds were appalling, we did not manage to get sleep as the beds were made from hardwood and screwed together. I have attached pictures of the beds.... worst I have every stayed in. I felt like I was in a hostel. I felt like I was sleeping on planks. The city views was a joke as all I had was the railway station and rubbish. The room was very noisy. The TV was so slow it was quicker to watch TV on my mobile. I paid for breakfast and they said I had not had that included in the room rate of £370 per night. Also it stated complementary whisky as part of their “in room features” which was false advertising as they only provided it on day one despite it not stating that. I did question if they were going to take the other in room items out of the room ie TV, HairDryer, etc. There were stains on the chairs and carpets. The cleaning of the room was average at best. There was mould in the bathroom. They did not provide clean glasses and we had to clean them and we had to ask for Tea Bags and milk every day. The service at breakfast was awful as it depended who you were. We asked why some people were service tea/ coffee and others had to get our own. Breakfast was not fantastic. The staff were not that friendly or helpful. Was I wrong to expect a good standard of hotel / room in Edinburgh for £370.00 a night? I have stayed all of the world and never experience just a poor service / standard. Not the birthday experience I had expected. The only thing good about this place was it was central so location was good.

|2.99km from city centerThis hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay.

|0.48km from city centerhad a fantastic stay here! there were 10 of us who all booked out a dorm. was quiet, clean and good quality. there are two bathrooms and two toilets per dorm which i thought was very good. our room wasn’t ready for an extra half an hour so they gave us free drink tokens for the bar! the reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because it was awfully hot in the room - even with the window open! there didn’t seem to be air con - we wondered even if the hostel had put the heating on? we didn’t try the breakfast. the hotel bar had decent food but long waits.

|1.23km from city centerThis hotel is so good, why is the rating so low? The hotel has more than 200 years of history, although there is no elevator, but the equipment in the room is very advanced, the toiletries are all L'Occitane, especially mentioning that the bedside table has a radio that has been placed in the light classic is very soothing, lying down without having to watch TV like this The music is very comfortable. Breakfast bread milk fruit is self-help, other such as bacon sausage eggs can be cooked, especially Amway fried poached eggs super delicious. In the UK, if you go out to eat breakfast or lunch, you will have more than 100 pieces. The price is very high, and the price will be high. I will stay here next time~

|0.51km from city centerThis was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

|0.41km from city centerWe stayed for 1 night in this beautiful hotel as a birthday night away and it was definitely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. As we arrived at the hotel we were kindly met with a staff member that went over our room, breakfast, dinner and all the other queries we had. We were worried about how hotel stays works during times of COVID however, the hotel was superbly clean and guidelines were followed at all times. We stayed in the executive club room and it was amazing! Our room was spotless and decorated very beautifully. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows are the best I’ve ever used! As for the shower it was an over head rain shower with excellent water pressure. We had breakfast in the morning and it was beautiful would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a stay. Everything about the stay was spectacular and have recommended it to my friends and family. I’m looking at booking another night again for the new year due to how good my experience was. The staff were also very friendly and showed exceptional customer service. Beautiful room, lovely staff and an amazing nights stay! 5/5

|1.73km from city centerThree friends visiting for the festival - our basement apartment was perfectly and centrally located near haymarket, but not too noisy. Huge and really well equipped and with 2 bedrooms, each with a sofa bed and also 2 bathrooms. All that you need, including iron, 2 hair dryers, a few toiletries and tea coffee milk etc to get you started or tide you over for a couple of nights. Plus lovely big kitchen dining living area. Highly recommend and was great value for the standard of finish and the fact it was the busiest weekend of the year! Would recommend and will return.

West End
Edinburgh
|1.78km from city centerThe hotel location is very good, very close to Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street, it is a little far away from Royal Mile Street, but can be reached on foot, the town is very suitable for walking.
The hotel implements unmanned management, and you can open the door and the room door yourself according to the password you check in. We are a family of 5 staying with children and living suites. The rooms are large and clean and well-equipped. You can cook your own meals. Tableware and pots are fully equipped (but I do n’t see a microwave). We are accustomed to the British diet. The house even provides equipment such as vacuum cleaners and washing machines, which is in line with our home habits.
The price is slightly higher, but for the case of five of us, it is still a lot more cost-effective than booking two single rooms, especially it is really good to be able to cook by ourselves.
In particular, we need to remind everyone that the hotel will send you an email 7 days and 1 day before the check-in, which will contain the room number and password for the check-in. If you booked on Ctrip, because they may have booked through other channels, the reserved mailbox is not ours, we cannot receive the mail, we must contact Ctrip customer service one day in advance, get this information, and then Can stay. Because the apartment is unmanned, it will be inconvenient to communicate if there is a temporary problem.

|0.21km from city centerI visited the W for the first time on Friday evening. From the moment we stepped through the door the experience was exquisite. We didn’t have a reservation however sitting at the bar in the upstairs lounge was wonderful. We met the lovely Sumith who educated us on everything wine related. Edson our bartender made some delicious cocktails. The experience was perfection from start to finish, I cannot wait to return!! To finish off our wonderful evening we were given access to the 12th floor, just WOW. I’ve not seen views like these in Edinburgh!!

Edinburgh
|0.65km from city centerThe location of the apartment building is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station. The overall environment is relatively warm and comfortable. The guest room we stayed in had one living room and one bedroom. It was quite large compared to ordinary hotels in London. It had a kitchen, a sofa and a coffee table, and the bathroom was also spacious. The only imperfection was that the manager of the apartment building got off work at 7 p.m. There was no reception when we arrived, the door could not be opened, and it took a long time to dial the phone at the door before it was connected. The waiting process was really exhausting. The store said it had sent an email, but other than the email indicating that the Ctrip reservation was successful, there was no email from the apartment administrator, which affected the check-in process. In addition, international calls cannot contact the administrator immediately, which is a problem for international tourists. not very convenient.
