"I would like to summarize the question of how to understand that a hotel is good; When I first arrived at Navona Hotel, I was first greeted by the smiling and warm welcome of the bellboy. Then the same warmth and sincere greeting at the reception and again a smile, when I went up to my room, the perception of quality, which I cannot find in most city hotels or even 5-star hotels, spaciousness, comfort and of course hygiene perception, clean bathroom and a large room. Breakfast, in my opinion, is adorned with rich Mediterranean breezes and more, and the desired extra requests (special menemen or omelet varieties etc.) are met immediately, again a smiling welcome. In fact, the hotel deserves 5 stars from me, especially with its staff and management. Thank you Navona Hotel family, for making me feel at home and making my travel easier."

"The rooms are small, the staff is uninterested, no one knows anything. I definitely do not recommend it. It is a shame for the money you pay. It is not clear whether it is a wedding hall or a hotel. You cannot sleep because of the noise of the wedding until late hours. While you are trying to pass through the beach while a wedding is going on, you are passing through the wedding in bikinis and swimsuits. There are no lifeguards. It does not even deserve a star."

"The Sultasa Hotel in Mersin can, at best, be described as 'adequate'. The Sultasa is an old hotel that is in reasonable condition however there are areas of it that require attention. On arrival none of the staff present were English speaking which made checking in quite long winded and difficult. Quite probably due to the language issue, I was not given the option of staying in a non-smoking room. As a non-smoker I therefore found the stale smoke-smelling bedding and aircon very unpleasant. Furthermore, other guests of the hotels found it necessary to slam their doors shut in the early hours of the morning (1-2am). I would not recommend this hotel to any first-time travellers to Mersin. The benefits of the lower cost versus the Hilton etc were lost relative to the (low) quality of the experience at the Sultasa."

"It was awful! The hotel is absolutely filthy! Toilet didn’t work and was dirty, the furniture was broken and looked like trash. The photos of the hotel which were on the site, didn’t match at all. couldn’t stay in that hotel, it was impossible. I asked for the refund but they refused. I paid 100% for the booking in advance and lost it all. I booked the hotel using Ostrovok app. This company wasn’t interested in solving my problem, so basically they did nothing. I’m very disappointed. I would never recommend this hotel or Ostrovok app."

"The hotel was affordable and well-located, but the room's cleanliness left much to be desired. Attached are photos of how I found the bathroom, which appeared practically unclean. I have to say that the hotel's saving grace is the staff, because despite my late-night arrival, the very kind receptionist went out of his way to help me. Even though there was no cleaning lady available at that hour, he personally tidied up my room. Another highlight was the really good breakfast. Overall, good value, fantastic staff, excellent location, but cleanliness could use some work. Would I book again? Most likely, yes. Arriving in a foreign country and immediately finding people who go out of their way to help you outweighs the small inconveniences regarding cleanliness."
