"The room was above my expectation with plenty of space for two motorcyclists and all their touring gear. the beds were comfy though I do think quite a few hotels in Europe struggle with the concept of two separate beds as opposed to two separated beds for two unrelated adult males. The bathroom was big and very nice with a large walk-in shower. The bar and restaurant was very pleasant and a good meal and a few beers were consumed. The breakfast was typical and more than adequate. The staff were pleasant and attentive. I would stay again - and did! Disliked · Here I struggle. Nothing comes to mind. Perhaps a lift? But that is being pedantic."

Villa Adelees Boutique Hotel ★★★

"stayed at VillaAdel.es, a stylish boutique hotel which formerly a private mansion. Centrally located in Alsfeld, it is a short 8-minute walk to the Medieval town centre and only a few minutes to the train station. I found the hotel to be well appointed, furnished with modern furniture and period pieces, all tastefully integrated into a black-and-white theme for both the common areas as well as rooms, which felt modern yet classic. I understand that each room is named after a famous person; I stayed in the Coco Channel room, which was adorned with artwork apropos of the famous French designer.  In-room services were also consistent with other upscale boutique properties: complimentary toiletries, a flat-screen TV, desk, and fast Wi-Fi were all pluses, and the bed was very comfortable, which, together with the quiet surroundings meant I got a great night’s sleep.However, the most impressive aspect of my stay was the lavish European-style breakfast buffet, thoughtfully curated by the owner, Anja, who crafts a breakfast experience that combines elegance with variety. The spread featured an array of freshly baked breads and buttery croissants, accompanied by artisanal cheeses, cured meats, and smoked salmon. Seasonal fruits and crisp vegetables are also available alongside creamy yogurts, muesli, and granola. A wide selection of fine teas, juices, and coffee complete the experience, creating a breakfast that feels less like a morning meal and more like a refined culinary ritual to start the day. As my stay was in mid-August, I enjoyed my breakfasts on the beautiful veranda that is attached to the second-floor dining room. Overall, I loved the combination of boutique charm, great food, and convenient location, and highly recommend the Villa Adel.es to others."

"The hotel is conveniently located for the city, our room was very large and had a fairly new bathroom. The service at reception was friendly (I don't understand what other guests are writing about). It's well-suited for sightseeing and excursions in the surrounding area. It's conveniently located near the motorway, yet you can't see or hear it."

Restaurant / Pension Mainzer Tor ★★

"We throughly enjoyed our stay at Mainzer Tor, where we stayed 1 night on our way back from France to Denmark. You access the room by getting a code to access the key and the room was super clean and comfortable. The Pension is located smack in the middle of the old, historic and picturesque Alsfeld which offers great atmosphere and dining options. Breakfast is available just accross the street in the old bakery. We found a chaging station for our electric car 5 mins away from the Pension. The remote control for the TV did not work but that is all we can complain about. We'll use this place also next year."

"Super Nice hotel. Brand New. Very good breakfast. And there is a Nice river running through the hotel!! The restaurant and breakfast area are located in a lovely renovated Jugendstil Villa. Also they have meeting rooms for quite meetings. Worth the visit!"
