"Went to Selyria June 2026 as a couple Overall would definitely say it is not a 5star hotel, probably more of a 3star. Room was nice and clean, pool was nice, and food was good for breakfast/lunch. The reasons it didn’t feel like a 5 star: Poor customer service - bar staff and welcome staff were not warm and were very moody, not helpful for all inclusive. No report built and acted like a chore to make drinks for an all inclusive. Drinks were non branded alcohol, wouldn’t expect this from 5star. They close the bar at 11pm and switch off all the lights and kick everyone out!! Not even to finish your drinks. We were promised a gym on site, when arrived there was no gym, and when asked for discount on other gyms non were given. Simple requests like taxis and utilities were not accepted or welcomed. Overall the stay wasn’t bad but definitely not the 5 star experience we hoped, in fact we went out for dinner in the town most nights due to the service."

Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort

"We have recently returned from a weeks holiday at the Atlantica Eleon Grand. The weather was extremely hot, but the hotel is set up in such a way so that you can find ways to cool off easily. We paid extra to stay in the main building in a Seaview room, with a large double bed and a chair bed for our daughter to sleep in. We would recommend this, as the garden view rooms around the near stage would be very noisy in the evenings until quite late, due to the proximity of the evening entertainment. The room was quite small, but comfortable, although we were able to fit in without getting under each other's feet. We had a little difficulty operating the air-con when we first entered the room, but got it going in a couple of minutes and it was very effective. The patio doors were a little tricky to open at first, but we worked it out and were able to use the patio for sitting and, with its handy drying rail, drying wet towels and swimwear. Unfortunately the room is set up for just two occupants,even though the sofa bed makes it a three-berth room, therefore there were only two chairs outside; which was not ideal. The housekeeping staff were very efficient, and the room was tidied beautifully every day. The bathroom was roomy, with lovely warm water; although the hair dryer was next to useless – it overheated and switched off after about 30 seconds of use, so we would recommend packing your own if you have space. The hotel facilities were perfect for us, excellent pools, and surprisingly exhilarating water slides. It must be said that the lifeguards are more than a little over-enthusiastic in their whistle blowing attempts to prevent any form of jumping or diving into the pools; this, however, didn’t dampen our enjoyment of the water. Access to the beach is great, although we did take water shoes, which we found helpful when walking into the sea. The sunbed situation is typical of all hotels, with fellow guests reserving them before the sun has even risen! We were able to find three together every day that we needed them, though, so there seems to be enough to go around, and nothing is too far away, so there aren’t really any in a bad location. The restaurant has a good range of food, I particularly enjoyed the breakfast selection. Our daughter loved the crepes, and Kara who made them freshly was wonderful, and made a real fuss of her and made her feel really special – so thank you very much Kara, you are a credit to the hotel and the star of breakfast! The opening times of the restaurant suited us very well, and even at the busiest of times we only had to wait for a maximum of five minutes before being seated by the friendly staff. On several occasions there was a barbecue station on the terrace, which was a real treat for some freshly barbecued souvlaki or prawns. We enjoyed two meals at the a la carte restaurants, I actually preferred the Greek restaurant, but this is down to my choosing poorly from the Italian. My wife and daughter loved thei"

"Nice hotel - family suite was comfortable & the cleaner was fabulous, came every day & left the room lovely. Breakfast is generally good, but for us the lunch & dinner options were satisfactory. We ate only once in the restaurant for dinner & chose to eat out at nearby restaurants. Drinks & snacks options aren’t great. We personally would not go all inclusive again. Facilities are great - we used the small gym a few times, played pool in the lobby area. Pools are shallow but in hindsight they are great for the games that the entertainment team put on daily. Staff are incredible - entertainment team really do include everyone with pool games, darts, yoga etc. Evening entertainment is run by the same team of 3 as during the day - they are so inclusive. The bar tender by the pool cannot go enough for anyone - such a great asset to the team. Location is great. Bus stop outside, car rental nearby, shops, bars & restaurants only a couple of minutes walk. If you’re looking for a fun holiday but not fussed about the food this is the perfect hotel. "Arrived at this hotel today. We’ve only been here six hours and can’t wait to leave! On being dropped off by coach it was a bit confusing because the hotel is set over three buildings and opposite each other. The male receptionist was welcoming. The hotel has ‘3’ pools, the main pool is busy, small and there were not any beds available. It seems towels are not provided as all guests seemed to have their own (something I’ve never seen in a hotel). We arrived at 2.30 and we told we had missed lunch but snacks would be available at 4pm, interesting as we’ve never been to an AI where food wasn’t served all day. The snacks turned out to be sandwiches which were highly undesirable. The veggie option was a piece of lettuce and a bit of tomato, quite dreadful. Our room was ok, but the toilet seat and shower are broken. We have a balcony but it’s not private and overlooks other rooms and is also over looked by other rooms, the hotel has a weird layout. There is a rooftop bar with a very shallow small ‘pool’ all inclusive drinks are not served at this venue we had to buy them. On arrival at the pool bar we were greeted by a very unfriendly and unhelpful female. The AI drinks list is very limited with only four ‘cocktails’ available, the drinks are tasteless. I asked if I could have my drink in a glass and I was told in no uncertain terms that the plastic beakers were for AI and the glasses were available if you paid for different drinks. We’ve never had to drink out of plastic beakers before, it’s degrading. This evening we went for dinner and to be honest had very little hope of anything good, we were not proved wrong. The buffet food is tepid and unaspiring, even the Greek salad didn’t look appetising, this is hard to comprehend. The staff were nice but clearly not enough to cover the amount of guests. I had to find my own chair, cutlery and placemat. I even had to hunt down a member of staff to order drinks. We’ve stayed in many AI hotels in many countries but we have to say this is by far the worst. It definitely isn’t a 4 star, a 2 at the most. I would definitely recommend not opting for AI and saving your money to go out for nice food and drinks. We have asked our tour company to try and find us an alternative hotel and we absolutely cannot stay here, it’s extremely disappointing. We work hard to pay for holidays and this has already ruined our trip. It’s below par for sure. We were so surprised as the reviews seemed positive, people must be writing about a different place! I’ve never written such a bad review in my life. I regret choosing this hotel and only hope we can be moved to something more appropriate."

Filoxenia Hotel Zakynthos

"Our family has just returned from a wonderful stay at the Filoxenia. From the moment we were greeted by Maria we felt the warmth of the Greek hospitality and could see that this place was quite special :) The team there care deeply about their guests’ experience and are rightly proud of their beautiful space. We were lucky to be able to try their newly opened dining space on our last evening - it’s a real gem and finished to such a high standard. It was so lovely that the team was so excited about it! The hotel itself is positioned really well. It’s not part of the immediate hustle and bustle, so is a little quieter, but from just outside the hotel you can catch a short bus which would take you to the main strip of restaurants along the beachfront, or into Kalamata old town if you want to venture further. (All very walkable too.) We stayed in a family room, which consisted of a double bed in one space and a separate living area with a sofa bed. It definitely had the best layout of any family room equivalent we have stayed in on other holidays. It has been thought through really well. It was such a happy place to be and our kids are already campaigning for a speedy return!"

Caretta Paradise Resort & WaterPark

"Absolutely not a 4 star hotel. Only the pools for the kids saved this from being 1 star. Arrived mid day after a very early flight with two young tired kids. To be told our room won’t be ready for another two hours. Went back to reception after two hours to be told it still wasn’t ready. Three hours passed so they gave me the kid although the cleaner was still in our room so didn’t get in till almost 4 hours later. The food is terrible, hardly any fresh bread and the same trays of meat and pasta every day for the whole week. Drinks were rubbish. At least the beer was cold so it was drinkable. Beware of the toilets in some of the areas. Mixed sex toilets with swing doors that swing both ways with no locks. The gaps at the sides of the doors are big so you can see in to each toilet. We had to keep going in pairs to guard the doors. Our children didn’t feel comfortable at all. We did enjoy the splash pool and the swim up pool but that was the only thing we enjoyed. Walk down to the beach bar to enjoy a proper pint of beer."

New Beach Hotel

"An excellent weeks stay with wife and daughter (9) at end of July. Rooms - We had junior suite which was modern with excellent shower. Balcony space was spacious relative to other hotels in the area. Food - Breakfast was a mix of buffet (fruit, pastries and nice breads) and limited cooked options which were presented v well. Tea and coffee were provided via the waitresses. A special mention to the fabulous Linda - top class service and someone who represented the hotel v well. Constructive feedback - (1) There was no music around the pool & bar area. I understand some like it quiet but we felt the area lacked atmosphere. (2) Sometimes there were a mix of birds and wasp-like flys at breakfast. A large fan in the area would discourage that. Overall - Would visit again. Defo recommend."

Park Hotel & Spa-Adults Only

"Location is good. The rooms are very dated especially the bathroom grubby shower area and toilet seat was grim. They need to get new bath towels off white colour and didn’t dry you properly. The breakfast is not great Luke warm food fruit salad was apple and orange with skin on and then tinned fruit not great. Staff on the reception were very miserable but the bar tender and waiters/waitresses were friendly. Overall I think it needs a revamp of the rooms, better breakfast and friendly reception staff. I wouldn’t return here."
